"High Cost, Poor Care at Assisted Living Facility"
My spouse and I lived in an independent living facility for 32 months, at a whopping price of around $8,176 per month. The cost only climbed each year, going up by at least 3% annually. Later on, my spouse had to be moved to a long-term care facility, which was even more expensive at $362 a day. However, the care she received there was far from satisfactory. She frequently experienced falls and even had an episode where she lay on a cold shower floor for twenty minutes. She was constantly subjected to a cold room and had to wear her coat throughout the night for warmth. They even instructed her to leave the door open to let heat in from the hallway. Once, she took a bad fall and hit her head, resulting in a black eye. Despite this, no incident report was ever filed. Whenever she called for help, she would be left waiting for as long as 30 minutes before anyone answered. After just 36 days, we decided to enlist outside medical help and moved her out of the facility owing to concerns about her safety. Don't be fooled by the glamorous appearance of senior care facilities like Edgewater. I urge you to thoroughly research and visit all potential facilities before making a decision.

"Assisted Living Facility Review: Not Top Choice, Needs Improvement"
This big place had apartments for folks who live alone, apartments where they help out a bit, and a section for folks with memory issues. It wasn't my favorite. I reckon it's alright, but it's not as good as the place I picked for my wife. I only talked to one person there. We went because our friends live in the part where folks don't need much help. They had one room available for folks needing memory care. But when I saw it, I didn't like it. It was kinda dark, and the hallways weren't as bright and open as another place we visited. It felt small and closed-in.
