"Friendly and Supportive Assisted Living with Personal Attention"
We chose this community because I really like how they give personal attention to my loved one and work closely with her. The staff has been very friendly and they don't change employees often. Overall, they've been pretty good. I would recommend this place to other families.

"Family communication lacking at small assisted living facility care concerns."
In this small community, they don't talk much with families. We find out about our loved one through a website, not the staff. The care for everyone here isn't what we hoped. Sometimes we have to tell them when a resident needs help or when things need cleaning.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
I like this place. It's nice and practical. It's not new, but you're not paying for new either. My experience is pretty good. I think it's better than my loved one does, but she complains about everywhere. I get along well with the people there. They treat me nicely. I would like to see more activities and things for us to do to avoid boredom. My loved one would also like to see them act quicker on care, like cutting her toenails more often, helping her find or replace her remote control. Just follow through on little things like that. Overall, I think they're pretty good.

"Great care and safety; food could use some improvement"
My aunt lives here and she really enjoys it. She sometimes complains about the food, but I had dinner with her before the lockdown, and I thought it was good! She always tells me that the caregivers are great. They’ve done a fantastic job keeping her safe during COVID, and I’m excited to visit her again soon.

"Caring Staff and Safe Environment at Corridor Crossing"
The staff at Corridor Crossing are awesome. You can really see how much they care about the people living there. They’ve worked hard to keep everyone safe from COVID-19. I would totally recommend them.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Care"
The lady in charge was amazing! She was super kind, really understood people, and was always honest. She was the perfect person for her job. There were also three sisters working there who were incredible. One of them stood out to me because she was really in control and knew her stuff. They were all hard workers. But when my family member couldn’t get out of bed, I wasn’t happy with some of the helpers. They didn’t seem to know what they were doing. One helper didn’t even know how to give my family member a drink of water. I had to step in and help. They told me someone would check on my family member every 15 minutes at night. I wanted to stay close by because they were very sick, but it felt like the staff didn’t want me there. Even though my family member was mostly sleeping or couldn’t respond, they kept giving them medicine to drink. I don’t understand how that’s safe for someone who can’t swallow properly. Shouldn’t they get their medicine through a shot or an IV instead? Getting into the place was another problem. One weekend, I knew my family member didn’t have much time left, and it took so long for someone to let me in. Other residents said they had the same problem—no one comes when they call for help. When a staff member finally showed up, she made me wait and disappeared a couple of times. It felt like forever. When I finally got to see my family member, they passed away just 30 seconds later. They had foam coming out of their mouth that looked like the medicine they were given. The helper said they had checked on them 30 minutes ago, but what happened to the 15-minute checks? I’m left wondering why this place isn’t better prepared for taking care of people at the end of their life. The hospice nurse was involved, but she left it all to the facility. And nobody told us how bad things were until we saw for ourselves on the third day. It seems like the helpers aren’t trained enough for this kind of care. For three days, I never saw them move my family member to a different position—they were always lying on their back. It’s likely they were in that same position for four days straight. That doesn’t seem right. I’m really let down by the care they gave at the end.

"Safe, Friendly Assisted Living with Tasty Food!"
I believe it's a wonderful place. The staff is nice, and they've done well with Covid-19 safety. The food is tasty, and the rooms are a good size. Plus, there's an outdoor courtyard for residents.

"Inexperienced Director, Neglected Care, Seeking Alternatives"
They care more about remodeling than taking care of residents. My relative and others have been robbed, and the culprit still works there. The food is too spicy for the elderly. But what really surprised me was how inexperienced the director is; she's definitely in over her head. Since she came to this facility, the care of residents has gone down a lot. I'm now looking for a new place for my relative. So, my recommendation is to find somewhere else.

"Neglected Father, Unanswered Calls, and Promised Refund at Mayvil."
Mayvil was unprofessional. The staff had no idea how to manage issues and the facility was grimy. My father fell after only one week, and they told me that if I removed his belongings by June 15th, half a month's rent would be returned. I tried reaching out to Mayvil, leaving messages and sending an email, but no one ever got back to me. I visited Mayvil to speak with someone, but after half an hour, I was led to a room with a plain door and told that different people were in charge now. They gave me a number to call, but no one picked up. I was told to get in touch with the previous management. I still haven't gotten a refund.
