Aspen Springs Assisted Living

"Not a social person’s choice. 2 1/2 stars."
It didn’t feel like a happy place. All they did was watch TV all day. Not much talking or visiting between residents while I was there. The room smelled musty and old. Definitely not a place for a social person like my mom. I’d give it 2 1/2 stars.

"Assisted Living Falls Short: Low-Level Care, Unprofessional Atmosphere"
This place wouldn't work for me or my folks. When we walked in, a Pitbull came to say hi. Apparently, she had her "I'm friendly papers, but we weren't sold. Then, outside, some residents were smoking and coughing. The countryside is nice if you're into that, but this feels more like a Board and Care setup, not proper assisted living. The tour guide was nice but not very pro, and the cook was friendly. Overall, not my choice.

"Decent Staff, Poor Living Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
This facility didn't meet the expectations and needs for my family. Upon our arrival, we were met by a pitbull, though it was supposedly friendly. I didn't fancy discussing this topic. Further, we went outside only to find other residents engaged in smoking. Not a good sight at all. The surrounding countryside was beautiful, but only if you actually want to live with others in such an area. I don't consider this place proper for assisted living. Instead, it more closely resembles a basic, low-level board and care home. The tour guide was nice, but absolutely not professional. The cook seemed friendly. However, I wouldn't choose this place as my home.
