" Assisted Living Nightmare: Friendly Faces, Hidden Problems"
I was super excited to find a place for my dad here. The staff seemed friendly, and they showed me all these cool pictures of past activities. But once he moved in, things changed. They had an employee test positive for COVID, and suddenly families were locked out without any warning. I'd come to pick up my dad, and he'd be wearing the same clothes for days, smelling unclean. He got so confused that they moved him to a locked unit. His doctor tried for days to reach someone there about testing him for an infection, but no one noticed the cyst on his back the size of a golf ball or his UTI. I decided to move him elsewhere, but the new place struggled to coordinate with administration. In the end, they just took my dad. Friendly staff, but their hands are tied by corporate. Don't fall for the fancy ads!

"Good place, some staff turnover, nice tour"
It's good. They've had a lot of staff turnover, but that's expected since it's a tough job. We chose this place because they accepted private pay until Medicaid was approved. The tour was good.

"Surprise Bills at Good Nursing Home"
The place is nice, but I think they should be clearer about how they decide the health care levels the nurse gives. My mom got a way higher level than we all thought she would, which made our monthly cost a lot more than we thought it would be. We didn’t know about this until after we had already decided to stay there.

"High Price, Low Quality Care: Poor Experience at Autumn Wind"
Our experience at Autumn Wind Assisted Living was quite disappointing. The care provided for our family members falls short. While we appreciated several staff members greatly, they were the high point in an otherwise low experience. The meals served were plain and unenjoyable, our loved ones didn't like eating there. The facility needs to amp up their communication game. Calls to nurses went unanswered and we were left with quite a number of unresolved queries. The pricing is steep too, considering that each additional service comes tagged with an extra charge.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
My family had a rough time here. At first, things seemed okay, but then they mixed up my loved one's clothes with someone else's. After that, they locked down the place, and we could only visit by appointment. Once, my loved one needed help, but nobody was around, so I had to take them to the hospital. They didn't seem themselves while staying there, but they got better once they left. They did like the food, which had a variety of options. However, there weren't any activities, and the staff was stretched thin.

"They Fell Short on Care"
I wouldn't recommend this place. Some staff were okay, but others weren't. It cost a lot, and they didn't do much for our loved one. He got worse after moving in. They didn't even take care of basic things like cleaning his ears or cutting his toenails.

"Assisted Living Facility Receives High Praise for Care and Cleanliness"
The staff is really nice and they take good care of our loved ones. They do a great job looking after them. The place is very clean and tidy, and they have activities for people living here to do. Based on my experience, I would tell others to consider this community.

"Subpar Care and Cleanliness at Memory Ward, Not Recommended"
The care my sister received in the memory unit was subpar at best! Her room was rarely cleaned, and the state of her bathroom was just awful. They wouldn't let her eat with the others if she tried to give them advice on eating. It seemed like no employees knew how to properly assist patients with dementia or Alzheimer's. During my many visits, I didn't notice any activities being done to help patients. Meal portions were quite small and lacked taste. I advise against recommending the memory ward to anyone!

"Great Place, but Costs More Than You'd Expect"
I visited this place when I was seeking a home for my mom. It was really pretty, kind of posh. The person who showed us around, who takes care of telling people about the place, was pretty cool and knew a lot. Everyone living there seemed super happy. But they didn't tell us how much it cost till the end, and it was too much for us. I'd tell other families to check this place out, but they should know it's kinda pricey.

"Dishonest Staff Provides Subpar Care at This Facility"
Don't take everything the workers or bosses say as truth. They don't give good care here. They really don't value honesty.

"Disrespectful Facility, Poor Care, Not Recommended!"
My mother-in-law currently lives at this facility. Throughout the day, they leave her unattended for hours, ignoring her call lights for up to an hour at a time. Even though she has dementia and this facility claims to be top-rated for memory care, they don't seem knowledgeable at all. We were promised so much but it seems like they're just intent on taking more money without offering any services in return. They totally disrespect their residents. I have a recorded call in which they told my mother-in-law to stop pressing her call light so much. Despite the increasing fees we’re being charged, we haven’t seen any increase in the help provided to her. It's a terrible place. I feel misled and disappointed, thinking they would take good care of my mother-in-law. I’ll never repeat this mistake and I don't recommend them for anything.

"A Welcoming, Secure Haven"
I felt let down when they quickly increased her care level, and it's quite pricey. However, they're friendly and recognize me when I call. Initially, I believed they offered free transportation to the doctor, but it turns out there's a fee. Overall, it's a nice, secure place.

"Happy with the facility, some room for improvement"
We are really happy with it so far. It’s mostly clean, though I have had to bring up the smell in the room before. The staff is really friendly. She says they give you plenty to eat, her words. We’ve had meals with her a few times; the jello wasn’t great, but overall the food was pretty good. I’d give it a four. Nicole has been great to work with; she’s really understanding and supportive of what the family wants.

"Assisted living facility needs improvements for resident engagement and care."
This place needs to get better. When I go see my family member, she's always just sitting there, not doing anything fun. Also, the eating area for the memory care folks feels sad because they're kept separate. If they could get them out more, it would be nice. And they need to do a better job making sure everyone stays clean. When we ask why, nobody knows. The place is nice, but for how much we pay, we should get more.
