"Staffing Challenges Impact Assisted Living Facilities"
The biggest problem I noticed was that the staff had too much work due to staffing issues at all nursing home assisted living facilities. They were attentive, but overwhelmed.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
COVID changed my experience. Few participate in activities. Roommate hygiene issues. Good food, but lacking in social opportunities.

"Lovely Place for Loved Ones"
This community is really nice. My family member is doing well there. The staff is friendly and the food is good. They have different options every day. They offer many activities and social events. The place is clean, bright, and well-furnished.

"Excellent Memory Care and Support at Brookdale"
I’m really happy with Brookdale right now. My 90-year-old dad has been there for 3 months, and since he’s in the memory care section, the staff is very patient with him. He has good days and bad days, just like at home, but I like how the staff works hard to lift his spirits on the tough days. There are always 2 to 3 staff members around 24/7. It was getting too hard for my mom, and she needs her remaining years to be less stressful and happier. The staff seems friendly and enjoys working there. When I visit, my dad is always clean and freshly shaved. The food is good and there’s plenty of it. They have many activities, though my dad doesn’t join in much, but they still make the effort. He did like the recent town tour. My mom is also pleased, and her opinion is the most important.

"Great place with friendly staff and tasty food!"
The staff are working hard to help Mom get used to the community. The place is clean, and they come once a week to tidy up her room and do her laundry. She hasn't joined any activities yet, but she did enjoy a music performance she accidentally attended in the dining room. The food is tasty and there are lots of choices.

"Disgusted by Rude Behavior at Elderly Care Facility"
I had a terrible experience when I visited my girlfriend's parents at their assisted living facility. I was excited to take a tour as my own parents are getting older and might need a place like this soon. However, I was totally taken aback when I overheard a caregiver speaking rudely to an elderly man. Shocked, I went to report it to the director. As I approached her office, I could hear her using terribly inappropriate language. I was appalled - is this the kind of environment we pay for our parents to live in? I decided then and there that my parents will never stay in such a place. Imagine, the director who is supposed to lead the team acts so wildly inappropriate! A lady, who introduced herself as she , the executive director, came to help me but I politely declined. If this is the standard of the authorities, it's hard to even imagine how they treat their residents!

"Disrespectful Staff and Poor Management at Senior Facility"
I've never been so upset after a visit anywhere. My girlfriend and I went to see her parents at the assisted living facility they stay at. This was my first visit to a place for seniors. Since my parents are getting older, I'm considering places for them too. While we were waiting for her parents to finish lunch, we walked around. I heard a caregiver talking meanly to an old man in one room. I was so mad, I tried to find the facility director to report it. When I got to her door, I heard swearing that shocked me. Such language, especially in a place where we trust people with our parents' care! There's no way I'm going to let my parents stay here. As I was walking away, a woman who goes by the name Candy came out, claiming to be the executive director. She asked if I needed help, but I told her 'no thanks.' If the person in charge is like this, I shudder to think about the quality of care at this facility. A place for mom? Not my mom, for sure!

"Religion Dominates Activities, Few Services for Others"
The main religion is a big part of the activities here. There aren't many services for people who don't follow that religion. We understand it's hard to offer services for just a few people, but having a clergy available would be nice.
