Copper Springs Senior Living

"Inadequate care and misleading claims by Copper Springs facility."
My brother-in-law, suffering from severe Parkinson's, stayed at Copper Springs for just over a month. Despite being PROMISED that they could handle his medical needs, it was apparent within three weeks that this was not the case. They denied assisting with his PT exercises, blaming liability issues. Instead of taking him to the dining hall for meals, they left him bed-bound 24/7 with room service. Their boasted food quality was far from good. Once, the meal was a mere two small chicken wings and a tiny serving of vegetables. After an inspection by the State, my sister was informed that the facility was incapable of treating her husband's condition and they needed to locate another place. The employees are primarily CNA trainees. If you're thinking about Copper Springs, talk to current residents and if you can, their family members too. Ask to see the State Inspection Report. BEWARE!! They were unable to deliver the nursing home care they sold to my sister and her husband. The cost was high and the way we were handled was disgraceful - a true failure on the owner/management's part. Don't fall for their grandiose claims.

"Great staff and housekeeping, but no internet in Memory Care"
My loved one is staying at Copper Springs Senior Living and overall, her experience has been good. She's in the Memory Care unit, and the staff have been wonderful. The housekeeping is great, and the move-in process was easy. The only issue is the lack of internet in the Memory Care unit. Since they aren't very mobile, watching TV or listening to music is important. Unfortunately, our calls to management haven't helped. Other than that, it's been a great place!

"Copper Springs Tour Reveals Challenges, Prompts Continued Search"
We visited Copper Springs Senior Living while hunting for a place for our family member who needs care. This spot didn't feel right. It's facing challenges that were apparent, even from our brief tour. We opted to continue our search.

"Decent place, but needs more activities and food variety"
They seem to serve the same food all day. That's what the other residents were saying. When I was there, they didn’t have many activities. The biggest event was a trip to Walmart. People said it was a 2-hour trip, including travel time, so there wasn’t much time to shop. Overall, it was the best place I visited, and I checked out quite a few before choosing Copper Springs.

"Budget-friendly but lacking quality in activities, meals, and care."
Copper Springs is less expensive than other places I looked at. But the stuff they do, the food, and how they take care of people need to get better.

"Too Large for Our Needs"
I think it's well managed, but it's too big for our family member's needs.

""Poor care facility; awful food, insufficient staff, risk of falls""
The food is awful at this worn-out assisted living facility. They're understaffed and my mother has fallen three times due to poor care. Look for a better place for your loved ones.

"Happy with Copper Springs Memory Care"
We moved our mom to Copper Springs Memory Care in , and they have been great. Mom was a bit difficult at first, but the staff worked hard to understand her behavior, and she got to know theirs. The staff is working directly with her healthcare provider to get her medication routine right. Our family is very happy with Copper Springs.

"Mixed experience at Copper Springs Memory Care Unit"
My mom's doing okay at Copper Springs' memory care unit. She's adjusting to sharing a room. The staff is nice and seem to care. The food's good too. Mom's pretty active but feels bored in the closed unit. A sound system for the TV could help. They often run out of paper products.

"Hard-working staff, great food, and excellent administration."
The nurses at Copper Springs work hard to manage my husband's medications and do a good job. The food is great. They are a bit short-staffed right now, but the residents still get good care. The administrative staff are excellent to work with.

"Helpful staff, but some issues with staffing and food shortages."
My brother's experience at this place has been really good. Everyone there is nice, especially the CNA’s. The building is new and looks pretty good. They offer a bunch of activities like outings, bingo, and crafts. Some guys have mentioned they wish there were more activities tailored to them. But, there are some downsides. They don’t have enough staff, and lately, they’ve been running out of food. It seems like things are slowly getting worse over time. I would suggest this place to other families.

"Mixed Feelings About Copper Springs Assisted Living Facility"
I checked out this place when I needed somewhere for my family member's short-term care. It seemed nice at first glance, but the location wasn't right for us. It's pretty big, but it didn't feel cozy like we hoped. The person who showed us around was polite but not very friendly. All in all, Copper Springs just wasn't the right fit for us.

"Decent Facility, Lacks Warmth and Convenience"
I visited this place while hunting for a care center for my family member, and I found it to be a pretty decent facility, but it just wasn't conveniently located for us. It was quite large, and it didn't emit the cozy, home-like vibe that we were aiming for. The lady who took us around was efficient and pleasant, but she came off as somewhat distant and didn't warm our hearts. To sum it up, Copper Springs just wasn't a suitable match for our needs.

"Feels Like a Hospital, Not a Homely Place"
I checked out this place for a family member, but I didn't like it. To me, it felt too much like a hospital or an institution. It was certainly clean and the workers were friendly, but I could tell it just wouldn't be right for my relative.

"A Positive Experience at Copper Springs"
Copper Springs has been pretty good overall. When we first moved in, there were some communication problems with the staff, but after a meeting, they've been trying to fix things. The caregivers and food are both great, the place is clean, and there are lots of activities. Our experience here has been positive.

"Good Food, Lots of Activities"
Copper Springs has been pretty good overall. When we first moved in, there were some communication problems with the staff, but we had a meeting to discuss it. Since then, they've been trying to fix those issues. The caregivers and the food here are both really good. It's a clean place, and there are lots of activities happening. Every time I visit, I see people getting involved in something. Our overall experience here has been positive.

"Small rooms, but clean facility; friendly, prepared staff during tour."
My visit to Copper Springs was good. The place looked tidy, but the rooms were super tiny considering the cost. The person showing me around was nice and knew a lot, they had all the info ready.

"Comfortable Community with Attentive Staff"
My mom's finding it hard to settle in, but the place is nice. The staff are nice and helpful to her. The food looks good at lunchtime. They plan one big activity every week and have celebrations for holidays. On St. Patrick's Day, they had Irish dancers perform for everyone.

"Unhappy with Overbearing Representative Behavior"
When I consulted the representative at these senior living facilities about potentially relocating my mom there, her response left me displeased. I laid out our requirements and she acknowledged that they couldn't meet them. She then proceeded to discount the significance of a one-bedroom option for my mom, asserting her supposed superior understanding of my mom's needs. I found her to be quite overbearing. I believe I'm more qualified to understand what my mom requires and didn't appreciate her rash behavior.

"Slow Improvements Seen at Assisted Living with Communicative Staff"
This place is getting better with the food, but it's still not great. The way they serve the meals isn't nice, and the vegetables are cooked too much. Also, the bacon is usually burnt. But the people living here are cheerful, and their mood is getting better. It's easier to talk to the staff now, and they're helpful with my parents.

"Worries and Concerns About Diamond View Care Facility"
I have some worries about Diamond View Assisted Living and Memory Care. They relocated my father-in-law to a newer part of the facility. The new spot is really nice, but he's not having fun. His room is also super far from the main buildings. He seemed more cheerful when he was in the old part. We plan to let them know our worries soon. His bed sheets haven't been replaced for too long. As a former nursing assistant, part of my duties was to look around and ensure things were okay. However, his toilet hasn't been used in a while and he hasn't bathed lately. We keep finding the young caregivers watching TV during our visits, instead of engaging in other duties. I was always told to keep busy during work. The lovely new building could quickly go downhill if it's not properly maintained. I brought my father-in-law some creamer for his coffee, but a caregiver took ages to prepare it. The pizza he got tasted like heavy-duty paper. The good parts were just the toppings. They need to offer water more often. He quickly finished the two little cups of orange juice given to him. Also, a caregiver just watched him as he followed my relatives out the door on their visit. That didn't seem safe. I just hope they can work these things out soon.

"Facility Has Pros, But Location Is a Drawback"
The facility is nice and new, and the staff is great. However, it's far from stores, restaurants, and our son's home, and there are no covered carports.

During our visit, we instantly noticed a bad smell. The place didn't seem very fresh or clean. That was enough to make me leave instantly.
