"Family Tour Experience: No Memory Care, Kind Staff, Top Facility List"
Our family visited Heron Place for a tour. They were friendly but lacked memory care. They provided a list of top-rated facilities.

"Heron Place Delays Refunds, Adds to Grieving Family's Stress"
We contacted both the general manager and the account manager at Heron Place to discuss our concerns. The account manager specifically promised to refund us for three days' worth of room charges and medical fees that we were billed for after our sister passed away. She told us we'd get everything we were promised. But she later clarified that we wouldn't get refunded for the room because our sister's stuff was still in there, which we understood and agreed with. The remaining refunds, though, have been a nightmare. The account manager kept delaying us, for four months straight. It seems like she hoped we'd just give up after a while. That's a truly awful way to deal with family members who are grieving and trusted Heron Place. It's caused a lot of pain and stress, especially for my wife who's still mourning her sister's loss. To be clear, it wasn't a huge amount of money, but it's the principle of the matter.

"True Colors Shown After Initial Day at Assisted Living Facility"
Everything was grand until we officially moved my family member in. The first day went well but things quickly turned bad. There was constant issues. Her meals weren't prepared right. She was supposed to only eat pureed meals, yet they were bringing her whole meals like pork chops. Whenever we needed to speak with someone, no one was around. We could never get hold of anyone and they always put the blame on hospice for any problems. We definitely regret not picking another place.

"Friendly and Helpful Tour at Heron Place"
We had a nice tour at Heron Place. The lady who showed us around was very friendly and helpful. There wasn't anything that made me think we shouldn't choose this place.

"Great place with friendly staff but some nursing staff turnover"
We picked Heron Place because it's close to my dad’s home and the room location was good. The place is clean, and the staff are friendly. I really appreciate that they take my mom to her medical appointments, which has been very helpful. They’re also great at responding to texts and emails, so communication has been excellent. There has been a lot of change in the nursing staff, with 3 different nurses in just 6 months, which hasn’t been great. But overall, we’re happy with the facility and would recommend it.

"Unfair Practices and High Staff Turnover at the Facility"
The head person here pretends to be kind, but can't be trusted. The regional director prefers some people over others. They hire their friends and give them special benefits. A lot of employees leave quickly, and it's tough on the people living here.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We liked this place when my relative moved in, but it got worse. It's all on one level, with a small community and a courtyard. The room sizes are average, but they have larger ones. Unfortunately, staff turnover increased, and things declined. I'm unsure about recommending it.

"Facility Woes: Care Decline and Medication Mishap"
Heron Place, at first glance, seems quite nice. But over time, things took a nosedive. Snacks vanished, veggies were rock-hard, and a medication blunder nearly turned fatal. The absence of a daily RN? Not reassuring. All fingers point to the facility’s management.

"Great care, expensive, good location, helpful staff"
Heron Place was a great fit for my loved one's respite care. It's pretty expensive, and we had some problems with the medication management, but overall, the staff were really nice and gave my loved one the care she needed. She was especially helpful to us. I loved that Heron Place was in a good location for our family, my loved one's friends, and church services. The church van could easily pick her up. Heron Place was clean, welcoming, and felt like home. I felt safe knowing my loved one was well cared for.
