"Poor Food Quality and Declining Service"
The staff, med techs, nursing, and housekeeping are wonderful. However, the kitchen staff is mean, and the food is disgusting—runny, cold, and with too many starches. The old cook was much better. Over the last six months, it's gone downhill, and considering what we pay for this place, it needs improvement, or we'll be leaving. Even my mom won't eat it. Also, there's floating junk in the water glasses.

"Inviting Atmosphere, Room for Improvement"
The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, with menu choices. The facility is well kept and has an inviting atmosphere. However, communication about activities could be improved. Residents need clearer explanations and personal invitations to participate. One-on-one assistance during activities would be beneficial, perhaps with the help of volunteers. Activities are crucial for those who can participate.

"Mixed Feelings: Friendly Staff but Communication and Staffing Concerns"
I would recommend this place to others. The staff is really friendly. Since I live in Washington, I haven't been there much. My relative who visits my father regularly says they're doing well. My main concern is not getting updates or newsletters about his well-being, which is frustrating. Also, they seem short on staff—it takes a long time to answer the phone or get a response.

"Overland Court Memory Care Has Mixed Reviews"
The staff at Overland Court Memory Care were okay if you were there to make sure medications were given correctly. But the person in charge didn't seem to care much about the residents or whether they got good care. We wouldn't choose this place first because of that. We only ended up here because our top choice said no to my Dad the day before we were supposed to move in. Overland Court took him in at the last minute. Moving him to another unit would have been too hard for him.

"Unsatisfactory Care at Overland Court"
My experience at Overland Court was really bad. I even made a formal complaint because they didn’t take good care of people and the nurses and workers didn’t know what they were doing. There are too many people living there for the staff to look after properly. Some of the workers are awesome, but others are just awful. They don’t give out medicines the way the doctor said to, and the care isn’t good. I wouldn’t tell anyone to go to Overland Court.

"Overland Court: Caring Staff, Communication Challenges"
My dad moved to Overland Court in a special situation. He was on Hospice care and not expected to live more than a week. The staff were friendly and helpful, but not all of them were prepared to handle his needs. During Christmas week, they were short-staffed, which affected communication about my dad’s condition and medication changes. While I’m unsure if Overland is the right place for a dying man on Hospice, we appreciated being able to stay in his room for 5 days. The staff cared for him well, turning him and changing his diaper when needed.

"Caring Staff, Kitchen Staffing Falls Short"
The team here is really kind and super nice to everyone, which shows they’re good at picking people to take care of us. But, it seems like they have a bunch of new faces around a lot, so they might need to figure out how to keep their caregivers for longer. They also need to get better at keeping kitchen staff. A lot of times, I saw nurses clearing up tables when they weren’t helping us. So, they need to work on keeping their kitchen crew too. They told us they had a top-notch chef, but there were a few times they ended up getting pizza for us because there weren’t any cooks around.
