Alden Courts/Garden Des Plaines

"Warm and caring staff, delicious food, and lots of activities."
The folks at Alden Courts are friendly, like family, and pay close attention. The meals are tasty, and there's plenty to do each day. The place is super tidy, and I'd suggest it to others.

"Nice Tour, Not Our Choice"
My tour of this community went well. Everything looked neat and tidy, and the staff was friendly. However, it wasn't the right fit for us.

"More Caregiver Interaction and Music Needed"
I would like to see more interaction from the caregivers. Sometimes, it feels like it's just a job to them. I think if they played music instead of just having the TV on all the time, it would be better.

"Great place, but costly and moves residents when needed"
This seems like a great place to live. When someone's health gets worse, they are moved to a nursing home. It's pricey.

"Responsive but not suited for memory care needs"
I visited about once a week and never heard complaints from other family members. I didn't handle the money part since it was private pay, but I thought the place was pretty good. They quickly responded to any changes we wanted. It was her first time in a nursing home, and she had some issues going in, so it wasn't like her normal environment. Because of her dementia, it wasn’t noticeably hard for her. They tried to include her in activities, but they weren't specifically for memory care. She wasn't a permanent resident. They evaluated her but found she wasn't a good fit because of her specific care needs.

"Assisted Living Facility: Pleasant Atmosphere, Limited Care Options"
The facility is pleasant with friendly staff, but lacks independent living and full nursing care. Limited space.
