"Great Care and Comfort at Alden Gardens of Bloomingdale"
What is Alden Gardens of Bloomingdale? It’s located at 285 East Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale, IL 60108. When you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile by [name removed]: “Hi, may I help you?” She will direct you to [name removed], [name removed], or [name removed] who can assist you. They know a lot about the place. This clean, five-story building has railings on both sides of the halls to help us walk safely. [Name removed] runs the maintenance department, and you just need to fill out a work order form at the front desk for any issues. He will make sure to fix things quickly. The nursing team includes four excellent RNs led by [name removed]. They’re available if we fall, need help in the hall, lunchroom, or our apartments. They also answer any medication questions. The CNAs are very helpful with walkers, wheelchairs, and medications. Some of us need help with personal grooming, bathing, and dressing. There’s also a Home Health Agency on the first floor with Nurse [name removed] and two therapists (physical and occupational) who help with rehab. [Name removed] manages the lunchroom staff. The menu is well-planned with plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are no assigned seats, and most residents are polite. [Name removed] is in charge of activities. Imagine keeping almost ninety residents entertained, especially when the weather is bad. She does a fantastic job with her team. Residents can pick up snacks at the front desk. There’s also a hospitality cart that visits every floor every Friday. A beauty shop on the first floor is available for both men and women. Check the front desk for scheduling. The trash room has bins for recycling and a chute for regular trash. Laundry rooms are available on the 2nd through 5th floors. These are some of the great things that make our stay at Alden Gardens of Bloomingdale enjoyable.

"Great care and independence for Mom at Alden Gardens"
Our mother has lived at Alden Gardens of Bloomingdale for over a year. We are very happy with the care she gets. Every staff member has helped her adjust to her new home. The people who work there are kind, patient, and helpful, from maintenance to the director, and from the dining room to activities. The nursing staff is friendly and always ready to help Mom, making sure she feels independent and in control. Mom’s apartment is just right for her, and the common areas are clean, well-lit, and inviting. We visit her weekly and see that the building is always well-kept. It’s common to see people chatting and laughing in the common rooms. Mom enjoys the activities and takes part in them often. We looked at many facilities in the area, and we are very pleased with our choice of Alden. Thank you, Alden, for giving us peace of mind!

"Bright, Friendly Atmosphere with Great Activities and Cozy Apartments"
I love the bright, friendly sitting areas on the first floor. The dining room is open and has nice views outside while keeping a comfortable temperature inside. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. That was my first impression of Alden Gardens, and after being here for a year and a half, my first thoughts were right. Now, I enjoy playing cards, bingo, or doing crafts in the sunny rooms, or just chatting before heading back to my cozy apartment.

"Assisted Living Facility Near Main Road Falls Short"
Wasn't too impressed with this place. Sunrise was nicer. It worried me being so close to Lake Street, the main road. It didn't have the fancy feel of Sunrise. But it was okay, just a bit better than a nursing home for assisted living.

""Not Quite Sunrise: Feels Like Advanced Nursing Home""
I wasn't super impressed by this place. Sunrise seemed much friendlier. What worried me was its location, right near Lake Street - such a busy road. It lacked the fancy feel that Sunrise had. But, hey, it was decent, it was okay, just seemed more like a slightly advanced nursing home, rather than the assisted living community it was.
