"Assisted Living Experience: Warm Staff, Good Care, Activities Vary"
My mother lives at Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is okay, but the portions are smaller and there could be more variety, which my mom would prefer. Sometimes, the activities listed on the calendar aren't exactly what happens. However, the healthcare provided has been consistently very good.

The place was tidy and pleasant, and the staff seemed friendly. However, I was disappointed with how they communicated about costs and medication.

"Not suitable for advanced care."
I visited Atria Park of Glen Ellyn, and it impressed me. However, during the evaluation, they realized they couldn't provide the care needed for her advanced condition.

The facility was nice, but it was too far for us.

"Nice but Concerned About Staff Attention"
Surprisingly quiet location even though it's close to Route 53. It's a smaller facility, but overall it's nice. One thing that bothered me was seeing a resident wandering around looking confused while some of the staff were chatting.

"Mixed Feelings about Atria Assisted Living"
I moved to Atria after leaving rehab for a fall at home where I broke my wrist and hip. My daughter brought me here, and I like it. It's clean and cozy. The staff works hard, but sometimes I struggle to understand their English. Everything is okay, but the food is only warm, which I know is due to quarantine.

"Charming place, updating in progress. Limited parking, nice location."
The assisted living place is a bit old but cozy. It felt like home. There are two big porches where you can relax when the weather gets better. They are fixing up some parts of the building, and that's where they had rooms available. The room I got was just okay, nothing fancy. Parking was a problem because there weren't enough spaces, but they're trying to fix that. It's right across from a beautiful park.

"Decent place, needs more staff and better food!"
Atria Park of Glen Ellyn is really nice and welcoming. Everything is clean and well taken care of. They could definitely use more helpers though, but the people who work there are doing their best with what they have. The workers are really kind and they care a lot. I saw this when they worked out why my friend kept falling and then came up with ways to stop it from happening again. The food could be a lot better - when I ate there with my friend, it tasted like too much salt had been used. The people who work there help the residents get involved in fun things that are good for them at their age. I'd for sure tell my friends and family to check out Atria Park.

"Promises Broken Over Aggressive Behavior Handling"
My family member didn't stay there very long. However, they showed some aggressive behavior and the way the staff responded wasn't at all like they promised they would. It seemed like they weren't being honest about their rules. Since we didn't stay long, I don't have much else to form an opinion on other than feeling like they deceived us when we asked about this exact type of situation.

"Friendly Staff, Overwhelming Size: Not the Right Fit for Us"
We had a pretty nice tour of this place. Everybody was really nice to me and my family. The place looked nice, but it was bigger than what we wanted. I thought it might be too much for my sister. The people who worked there were nice, but we didn't think this was the right place for us.

"Lack of Activities Integration, but Good Care Provided"
I didn't give this place 5 stars because while the staff takes good care of residents, they could do better at helping new folks join in activities. They introduce new residents at meals but don't talk about outside activities. Even with the new monthly calendar, there's no info on signing up for events. They don't discuss daily activities much either. My dad ends up spending a lot of time in his room. Still, I appreciate the good care he gets.

"Tour: Clean, Friendly, Not Right for Mom's Needs"
Me and my sister looked at lots of places, and one of them was Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. It was really clean and looked after nicely. The person who showed us around was nice and answered all our questions. But we found another place that suited what our mom needs better.

"Improvements Bring Better Care"
The place looks nice, and everything's okay. The staff is friendly, and the food is decent. At first, there were problems, but they've improved. The staff could use more training and be gentler. I've heard the younger staff find everything funny, and the men are kinder.

"Unsettling Atmosphere Kills Interest in Facility"
My boys and I took a tour of this place, and I've got to be honest, we didn't have a great feeling about it. Everyone acted super nice, showing us around and trying to be helpful. But something about it just didn't sit right with us. It got to a point where we didn't even want to keep going. So we left, deciding it just wasn't the right spot for my wife.

"Good Staff, but Lacking Amenities and Privacy at Atria"
I arrived at Atria of Glen Ellyn from a rehab clinic looking for food and transport services for a two-month duration. My stay at Atria only lasted three days, but during that time, the staff was welcoming and helped me settle in nicely. They served good food, and the employees quickly picked up on my personal taste. After joining in some of the offered activities, they seemed enjoyable, and I had plans to use the facility's personal trainer for morning exercise classes. However, several issues led to my departure. Firstly, my room lacked any form of internet or cell service, meaning to contact my family, I had to use my phone from the lobby. This lack of privacy was concerning for both me and my family. In addition to this, I could not use any devices that required internet, preventing me from Skyping my sister or using my iPad. The administration offered no solutions to this issue. Furthermore, when I moved into my room, the excessively loud air-conditioner was instantly noticeable. Despite pointing out this problem, I was told the earliest it could be looked at was Monday - it was a Saturday. In the end, this led to me sleeping without air conditioning in the middle of July. Although the maintenance officer did finally assess the air-conditioner on Monday, he concluded it was so faulty it needed replacement. I left Atria for another facility that same day. However, in its favor, Atria was thoroughly clean and featured a large porch area for residents to relax and mingle.

My relative stayed at Atria Park of Glen Ellyn for just ten days. The staff were nice when they talked to her. She didn't have any problems with the food. The place is kept clean and looks after well. But she didn't join in any of the things they do.

"Decent Tour but Unpleasant Smell"
I visited this place thinking about my dad. Right away, I noticed a nasty pee smell. Besides that, everything looked neat and spotless. The folks working there were kind and pleasant. It seemed like the people living there were content and cozy. The meals seemed pretty good, and the people living there seemed to enjoy it. The place felt a bit too confined for my dad, though. All in all, the tour was decent.

"Knowledgeable and Helpful Staff!"
Things are going very well since moving my mom to Atria Park of Glen Ellyn. She is doing well and really enjoys it. Everyone there is very helpful. The setup was easy, which made it nice for our family. The staff is knowledgeable and helped a lot. They do many activities to keep the residents active, unlike a hospital. The food is very good, and my mom enjoys every meal.

"Best place for your loved ones."
My first visit was great, except for the parking. Everyone, from the front desk to the director, was amazing. She was my main contact and guided me through everything. She was always helpful and did a fantastic job following up on all the details. She is incredible. On her first full day at the Atria, my mom met new people and made her first Christmas decoration. Change isn't easy for an 87-year-old, but the staff at the Atria made it easy for her. I would highly recommend the Atria to anyone who wants the best for their loved ones at a reasonable cost.

"Lacking Amenities, Friendly Pet"
This place was pretty good, but not as easy for us as the other Sunrise spot. It didn't have a lot of restaurants and stuff nearby, and it wasn't as new. They did have a house dog, though - a rescue dog that's part of the community.
