Bridgeway of Bensenville a CCRC

"Quiet, clean, spacious assisted living; lacking communal activities. Friendly staff."
The place is a good deal for what you pay. The apartments are big and clean, though they look a bit old-fashioned. It feels more like living in an apartment building. It's really quiet and people mostly keep to themselves. There aren't a ton of group activities, which is a bit disappointing. But the folks who work here are really nice, and it feels totally safe.

"Assisted Living Facility: Mixed Experience, Roomy But Pricey"
They never gave Dad a monthly calendar of activities. I've told them before. They always want him to eat with a group, but sometimes he prefers to dine alone, which is okay. So, he eats alone in his room now to avoid being with others. There's no outside area for residents. I sometimes see them hanging out in the parking lot. At first, I didn't know who to contact with questions. I had one nurse's cell number, but she's not available 24/7, so I didn't feel comfortable texting her. Now, they have a central number, which is good. Dad never had a care plan meeting with the head nurse. I had to ask for it. They said they'd reevaluate his care level after 30 days, but they haven't done it yet. The rooms are nice and spacious. The staff is friendly. But it seems expensive for what Dad gets. Other places offer more personalized pricing.

"Bridgeway of Bensenville Review"
The staff is friendly and caring. We didn’t meet the Executive Director, but [name removed] was a big help during some tough situations. Communication with the family was great. The nurse even spent half an hour on the phone helping with my mom’s situation, even though she wasn’t a resident there. The only downside was that not many people participated in activities. My introverted dad would have liked more guided activities, but only 2 or 3 people showed up, and I saw many cancellations. Despite that, the cost was excellent, and the caring staff made a difference. I had several staff members in my phone contacts, which shows how accessible they were. I highly recommend Bridgeway of Bensenville.

"Improved Staffing Transport to Doctors Needs Work"
There have been changes in how they manage the staff, which has been helpful. One big area they can work on improving is transportation to doctor appointments! The staff communicates well! The food is good, and they serve three meals each day.

"Informative Tour and Adequate Facility for Mom"
It looks like a good spot that has stuff my mom might use. The person who showed me around gave me lots of details and a great look at the place.
