"Good Facilities, Needs Better Nursing Communication"
The cool features really caught my attention. They could work on talking to us better from the nurse’s office.

"Bright Oaks of Aurora Assisted Living Review"
I visited Bright Oaks of Aurora and it was really nice! The tour was awesome. I had a helpful meeting with the staff and they explained everything well without making me feel rushed. They contacted me after my tour, which was nice. They invited us to join their events to see what it’s like. The place was clean and looked after well.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement"
This place looks nice and clean, and there's lots of space. But, there's no transportation and they don't take responsibility for things. It's not running smoothly yet. Also, they keep changing staff a lot and there's not enough of them.

"A Grateful Family's Oasis of Support"
We are grateful for Bright Oaks Community. We've made lots of friends among the staff and administration. Even though we've faced a few challenges, we keep working together, all for the sake of my dad.

"Comfortable and Clean Assisted Living Facility Near Home"
The food is alright. They serve three meals a day. I wish they had more activities and outings. My loved one picked this place, and it’s near my home. Overall, my loved one feels very comfortable and likes it here. It’s the newest and cleanest place I’ve seen.

"Great staff, clean facility, and good value with discount."
My loved one began at Bright Oaks for respite care and now lives there permanently. She’s doing great! The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and caring, which has helped her adjust well. They keep everything clean and manage her care and physical therapy well. There are many activities available, though she’s not thrilled with the food—it’s just different from what she’s used to. It’s pricey, but we got a good deal with a discount for a one-year contract. Overall, the experience has been excellent.

"Mixed Experiences with Staff and Unresolved Refund Issue"
Like many places, this assisted living home often changed staff, and sometimes they didn’t have enough people to work. The kind of care my family member got changed a lot because it depended on who was working. Some staff seemed to only work for the money, but others really seemed to care about the people living there. Luckily, a few staff members took really good care of my relative. But when he needed more help, they let him go. Now, I’m really upset because we were supposed to get some money back as our contract says, but it’s been a year, and we still haven’t seen it. We’ve tried calling more than once, but we hardly ever get a call back. When we do get an answer, they say they’re still figuring it out or it’s someone else’s job to handle it.

"Dedicated Staff and Engaging Activities Make Bright Oaks Recommendable"
Since March 2020, visiting my wife at Bright Oaks was restricted due to COVID-19. Before that, I visited her daily for meals in Memory Care, even SKYPING with our son in Japan during Saturday dinners. The staff were always caring, compassionate, and professional. They never showed frustration. The meals were balanced, but sometimes bland for my taste given the circumstances. The activity staff were dedicated, arranging outside entertainers like piano players and singers, as well as daily activities like bingo and games. While staff turnover seemed high, the core CNA team has been there since day one. I suggest Bright Oaks consider having an OMBUDSMAN to update families on residents, especially during COVID-19. Currently, I only hear from them when there's an issue, occasionally receiving a photo upon request. Would I recommend Bright Oaks of Aurora? Absolutely, they provide great care, though not perfect.

"Caring Staff and Great Value in Assisted Living Facility"
The staff is very caring. The cost is good. My dad was taken care of very well, especially after the new director started. They have made many improvements. The nursing staff is excellent. My dad stayed in memory care. I always felt they watched my dad closely. They assisted me with the hospice process. He was loved there. As an only child, A Place for Mom really assisted me throughout the process.

"Caring staff, convenient location, decent food"
The nurses at Bright Oaks care about residents. Some CNAs enjoy their job; others seem indifferent. Good location and availability when needed. Food is okay; tried it once, it was good.

"Nice Place, Seems Short on Staff"
The place and the people working there are really great. When we visited and chatted with the workers, it felt like they could use a few more hands to help out.

"Great new facility with friendly staff and activities!"
We visited this facility for my aunt and were warmly welcomed by the staff. The atmosphere and their hospitality made us feel right at home. The location is also very convenient. Since it’s a new place, everything is clean and orderly. The only minor issue is that the staff is still gaining experience because it’s fairly new. However, the team is friendly and not pushy. I’m happy with the activities they offer, like painting, crafts, and bingo, all listed on a monthly calendar. They even have a beautician who visits. The other residents are friendly, and there’s a mix of ages. The food seems fine, and my aunt hasn’t complained. They have a changing menu, so there’s always something different. I also noticed a bus that may take residents on outings or to appointments. Overall, it’s a great new facility.
