"Lack of Communication Raises Concerns at Assisted Living Facility"
Make sure to check on your loved one's care. Communication is a big issue here. I don't think this place is good right now. They need to do better.

"Communication issues led to ER visits and stress"
Brighton Gardens was good overall, but communication wasn't great between hospice and them. I felt stuck in the middle and it was very stressful. My mom had to go to the ER twice, which I don't think should have happened. Now I have a big bill, all because of communication issues.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The staff should talk more to each other. This place is lively - that’s why we picked it. Sometimes they don’t have enough staff, but that happens everywhere in healthcare.

"Mixed Experience: Great Care from Brighton, Issues with Independent Hospice"
We highly recommend Brighton Gardens. The staff provided excellent daily care. However, we were disappointed with the care from Residential Hospice, an independent organization. Be aware of unexpected charges from their nurse practitioners.

Did not rank as high with me as I expected but I guess because it is kind of more corporate than homey feeling. what I sensed. Staff is nice enough, but, feel like there was not that warm fuzzy feeling as I would have wanted. The place is nice, light and airy. Part of the amenities are great screened in porches, nice rooms, smelled good.

"Wonderful care and activities!"
My husband is staying at this community for a short while, and we're happy with how things are going. The staff are helpful with his daily needs, and I feel good about the care he's getting. He likes the meals and is joining in activities with other residents. This place has been a big help to our family, and we'd suggest it to anyone.

"Cozy Community"
The tour was really informative. The staff was super friendly and caring. The place had an older, cozy vibe. We picked a different community due to the waitlist and found one closer to home.

After talking with, who was really nice, we're thinking about Brighton Gardens for my Mom. I like how they take care of people and think my Mom will be happy and safe there. Some parts of the place seem old, though.

"A Tour for Mom"
This place was pleasant. The community is older than we preferred, but it felt like a remodeled hotel. The staff was kind and friendly. Although clean, it didn't meet our specific needs. The activities would have been helpful for our loved one. We recommend other families tour this community.

"Warm Staff but Extra Fees Abound"
The people working here were really nice to my family member and me when we visited. They were punctual for our meeting and welcomed us warmly. Their place was in good condition and had many cool features. But, I didn't like that they asked for extra money for every additional thing my mom would need there and it was quite pricey.

"Very satisfied with Brighton Gardens' care and facilities"
I have three family members living at Brighton Gardens. Two are in assisted living and really enjoy the care they get. The third is in memory care and is doing great there. I’m very happy with the care she receives.

"Compassionate Caregivers Eased Our Worries During Tough Times"
Our mother moved to Brighton Gardens hoping to get better after her husband passed away from cancer. Sadly, her health worsened quickly, but this wasn’t Brighton Gardens’ fault. The staff was incredibly kind and supportive. They handled tough situations well and made me feel reassured that Mom was getting the best care.

This place is big, and the staff is awesome. Some workers come and go, which is normal. The ones who stay are kind and supportive. Lots of activities, but the food needs improvement.

I'm really happy here. The staff is great and caring. It feels more like a hotel, with no unpleasant smells. Visiting is pleasant, and the room is very nice. The food has been excellent. Their prices are similar to other places of the same quality.

"Avoid Brighton Gardens: Poor Care, Negligible Communication"
Our time at Brighton Gardens was awful, and I advise people to steer clear. We encountered issues regarding the care, staff's communication and overall lack of attention from them.

"Good care with some room for improvement and minor issues"
The facility is doing a good job overall. It’s clean, and the staff is friendly. The rates are reasonable, but there could be more activities available. The food is pretty good, about a four out of five. We started in the memory care unit but recently moved to a different floor. In the memory care unit, people would sometimes wander into my loved one's room; they could improve on keeping track of that. There were also some repairs that were not done. We chose this place because they provide better care for my loved one, rather than just leaving him to be on his own.

"Warm and caring staff; More daily activities needed in memory care"
The people who work here are really great, and I love how they've become friends with my family member. They truly care about her feeling comfortable and happy. They also make sure to keep us updated on how she's doing. I think it would be nice if there were a few more little things to do every day in the memory care area. They do some fun stuff for holidays, but when I visit, it seems like mostly they're just sitting around.

"Mixed Feelings"
We checked out this spot when we were finding choices for our family member. It seemed nice, all neat and with friendly staff. But compared to other places we visited, it didn't quite measure up. It's an older building, and you could tell. Also, the people living there didn't seem as lively as in other spots we saw.

"Substandard Food, Mediocre Medical Attention at This Home"
They're doing okay. The food isn't great though - it's overcooked, the meat's dry and the coffee is terrible. They do keep things nice and tidy, and make sure the folks living here get out for walks and exercise. But, they could pay more attention to the medical stuff. This place isn't bad, but it has the potential to be way better.

"Shift in Management Alters Assisted Living Experience"
This community is pretty neat. Each month, we were shelling out roughly $5,200, which is a bit more than similar places ask for. It was always spotless and the folks working there were really nice. We were big fans of this place and felt like we made a pretty good choice. But it feels like there's been a shift in management or ownership because it's just not as great as it used to be. After this switch, it wasn't the same as before and we weren't as thrilled with it anymore.

"Warm and welcoming assisted living facility with attentive staff."
We picked Brighton Gardens for its friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. It's super clean and feels just like home. The studio apartment looks really nice too! They offer lots of services and are always ready to answer questions. I checked out a bunch of other places, but Brighton Gardens was the best, especially because of its location. They've kept their promises so far.

"Decent outdoor area, pet-friendly but mediocre rooms"
The outside area is pretty good. There's a team of people taking care of things. They don't mind dogs and cats. The rooms could be better though.

"Homey Assisted Living with Therapy Pets"
The place feels cozy and comfortable, with a therapy dog and cat. They provide personalized care, but the nurse isn’t available 24/7—only on call at night. They’re open to new activity ideas.

"Decent Assisted Living Facility With Some Room for Improvements"
This is a large Assisted Living facility, home to about 100 elders, with a good portion of them having Alzheimer's. A specific area called the Remembrance unit is assigned for Alzheimer's patients to prevent them from getting lost. The staff in this area were extremely friendly to the residents we saw while on our visit. This area seems to have staff specially trained in dementia-care along with elder care. Our visit lasted quite long, but that gave us a good chance to evaluate the place. We noticed some odd smells in a few spots and the 2nd and 3rd floor hallways are quite confusing, with all the corridors painted the same yellow color with no other guiding colors. The facility has a cool resident dog, which might not suit everyone, especially those who're allergic to or fearful of dogs. Residents can keep pets too but they need to take care of them themselves. The price was somewhat higher than other similar places we checked out. Regarding care for Alzheimer's patients, there is an outdoor area, but it's small and not really suited for exercise walks. Not matching the latest dementia research, the Alzheimer's area doesn't have short, wide hallways with doors or windows at the end or color-coded doors or areas. However, caregiver training is provided on-site and doctors visit patients in their rooms. The beauty salon was nice and welcoming and the dining area was open, cozy, and played old-time famous band music. Lots of residents were in the community area, looking well taken care of and looking forward to visitor interactions. And so, despite having an area for Alzheimer's patients, it appears that this facility's primary focus is on preserving resident independence more than tackling Alzheimer's head-on with established care methods. They market the facility as providing custom care for each resident based on their unique needs.
