"Staff at Dimensions are Helpful and Respect Residents"
My friend at Dimensions has a lot of good things to say about the staff. He told me, I think I have thanked everyone who has helped me, but it would take days to do it personally. I want them to know that it takes special people to help residents keep their dignity no matter what. I hope this shows how thankful he is for his time at Dimensions Living of Burr Ridge.

"Assisted Living Review: Staffing Issues but Great Activities and Therapy"
Dimensions Living Burr Ridge isn't always fully staffed. They change employees a lot. It's rare to see the same nurse twice. But, the activities they offer are really good. They keep the residents involved. And the physical therapy is also good.

"Bad Experience with Assisted Living Facility"
My mom's been at this place for a year now. They didn't give her the room they said they would. The day she moved in, they switched it up and put her in a really noisy spot. I talked to one of the workers and they were all, "Don't worry. We can move her somewhere else if this doesn't work out." Next thing I know they're being super mean and now they're asking for a big amount of cash just to move her and sort out the mess they made. I tried to call the boss but she never picks up or calls back. If you're thinking about moving someone you care about to this place, make sure you have everything they say in writing. The main person there just shrugs her shoulders and denies ever saying stuff. I'm really not sure what to do at this point.

"Mixed experiences in assisted living, recommend with reservations."
The food is good, but my loved one finds it okay. There are many activities available. The staff is wonderful, though they are a bit understaffed. Residents in skilled nursing don't receive enough attention; staff seem very busy. Overall, our experience has been positive so far. More help and staff are needed, but I would still recommend it to other families.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
The community is pleasant, but there are some small problems I’m dealing with. The location is awesome, and the facility is tidy. The staff and residents are friendly. The food is just okay, not great. They do offer quite a few activities.

"Positive tour at Dimensions Living; preferred another with better layout."
We had a good tour at Dimensions Living Burr Ridge. The staff were friendly, and the facility was pleasant. However, we preferred another place with a better layout that felt more carefully designed.

"Exceptional Employee Went Above and Beyond for Our Family"
Hi, I’m really grateful to him for helping place my mother-in-law at Brookdale. From our first conversation, he was kind and listened carefully to everything I said. He was always there to hear my concerns and responded quickly to my calls and texts. Brookdale is very lucky to have him. He’s the best employee I’ve dealt with in a long time. Even during the pandemic, he went above and beyond for our family. Thanks again. He truly deserves many awards for his hard work.

"Brookdale Burr Ridge: A Caring Home"
My parents have been at Brookdale Burr Ridge for almost 18 months. They used to live in Florida, but my dad’s health issues meant they couldn’t stay on their own anymore. The move was quick and stressful. I worried about them hating assisted living, but to my surprise, they settled in and now enjoy their new home. Mom praises the staff, they like the food, and they enjoy the courtyard. Before COVID, they were active in church services, Bible study, fitness, and game nights. We’re grateful for Brookdale—it feels like home.

"Friendly staff and great care make Brookdale feel like home"
My parents have lived at Brookdale Burr Ridge for four years. We checked out many places, but Brookdale was our top choice. The first thing we noticed was how clean and nice everything was, even before my parents moved in. The staff was friendly and helpful, which made us feel confident this was the right place for them. After a few months in assisted living, we realized they needed more help with daily tasks. They were moved to a double room in the memory care unit, staying together as a couple married for almost 70 years. The staff is amazing—they go beyond their usual duties to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. We feel very lucky to have Brookdale Burr Ridge as part of our family.

"Sad State of Assisted Living"
My mom’s been at Brookdale Burr Ridge since 2017. Back then, it was a good place. They took care of her health issues. But things changed since January 2019. The managers left, and new faces keep coming. Residents are upset because their rooms haven’t been cleaned or their linens changed for weeks. And the food service? It’s a joke. They run out of entrees on the menu, portions are tiny, and there are always excuses. It’s sad. I hope things improve soon for my mom.

"New Assisted Living Facility Offers Varied Activities and Living Options"
The assisted living facility is new with lots of spaces and activities. The independent living area was lively, but interaction details in the assisted living section were unclear due to low occupancy. Various floor plans available.

"Good Community Interaction and Nice Rooms"
My first impression wasn't great when they couldn't find my tour reservation. But while I waited, I saw lots of friendly interactions between residents and staff -- even the cleaning staff. My visit turned out well. Al answered my questions and gave a clear picture of life there. I really liked that they have a skilled nursing section along with assisted living and memory care. The rooms are nicely laid out and have two big windows for lots of light. They seem very committed to getting residents out of their rooms and involved in all sorts of activities. I think it's a nice option for Mom if she can afford it.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Better Communication, But Cares Adequately"
My family member's time at Brookdale was okay! Even though they needed special care, the staff tried hard to help them. My biggest worry is that the communication between me and the staff about how to take care of my loved one could've been better.

"Small, But Active Community; Friendly Staff and Residents"
During my visit, I met nice people on the tour. The place looked clean, and the residents were active. It felt a bit crowded, though, maybe 'cause it's small.

"Noisy Construction, but Otherwise Great Dining and Cleanliness Experience"
My family member loves eating here and the food choices. The cleaning staff keeps my dad's room and the place tidy. There's a lot of noise from construction lately, which bothers him.

"Great nurses"
I want to start by saying that the facility takes good care of residents. However, communication among the staff needs improvement. My dad was in the assisted living unit and got sick. He ended up in the hospital and was later moved to the skilled rehab side. The rehab department was excellent and helped him regain his strength. Adam, a fantastic nurse, quickly became my dad's favorite. They got him back to full strength, and he returned home. The facility is expensive, so we chose not to return to the assisted living apartment. But if he needed rehab, we'd go back to the skilled unit.

"Concerns Surrounding Care at Assisted Living Facility"
I live in this community and my mom's doctor is here, so it's pretty safe. But when you're dropping off someone special to you, they hand you this rule book but no one follows it. We told them plenty of times that my mom can't eat fish but the servers aren't careful enough. They just dropped her laundry on her bed once and said she had to fold it. They should figure out how to pass messages between shifts. The head nurse should be in charge of that. The meds were okay. She got those every day.

"Need More Effort to Involve Residents"
Compared to everything else, the cost is good. I’m not sure if everyone is encouraged to participate as much as they should be. Some people might need a little extra encouragement to join activities, but it’s okay if they prefer to stay in their rooms. The activities program might not be top-notch, but they make an effort to involve people. There’s a friendly group of women who participate, while the men are less social—maybe that’s just their personalities. If someone struggles with adjusting, the staff might not favor them initially. We’ll see how it goes.
