"Positive Experience at Brookdale Glen Ellyn Assisted Living Facility"
The moving process went well. Still adjusting my apartment setup for comfort, with help offered by the coordinator. Met a helpful Welcome Ambassador on my floor, enjoying our mealtime chats. Residents and staff are friendly and welcoming, a big plus. I've started at the health club and love B-Fit exercises. Pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, especially the fish!

It was lovely but too big for Dad and more expensive.

"Mixed Feelings About Community Size"
We visited this place for my sister's needs. The tour went mostly well. The staff was friendly and kind. The community looked nice and well-maintained. However, it was too large for us.

"Impersonal Layout Hinders Enjoyment at Brookdale Assisted Living"
Brookdale is really nice, but it didn't look appealing. It seemed more like a huge hotel. My mom would have to go all the way down a long hallway to a room full of mailboxes just to get her mail. The hallways felt too long. It didn't feel like the place was made just for her.

"Decent Visit, but Not Ideal for Mom"
My visit to this place was good. The people working there were pretty friendly. The place looked well taken care of. It just didn't seem like the perfect place for my mom and what she needs. I don't think they have enough fun stuff for the people living there to do. It just wasn't the best choice for my mom.

"Perfect Place for Your Loved Ones!"
We needed a great place for my Mom about 4 years ago because she broke her hip and wrist. We checked out many places and finally found Brookdale nearby. As soon as we walked in, we knew this was the place for my Mom and Dad. The apartments felt like home. The dining room was nice, and the food was great. The staff is super friendly, comforting, and dedicated. The business staff is very professional and helpful. The place is clean, the activities are fun, and they always have great entertainment for the residents. They took amazing care of my Mom and Dad. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for care for their parents. Great job, Brookdale!

"Comfortable and Independent Living for Dad"
It was time for our dad to move out of his home. A few years ago, he stayed at Brookdale for a short rehab after his hip replacement. He was well cared for, had three meals a day, and we knew he was safe. When it was time to sell his home, we checked other places but came back to Brookdale. Now, he has a one-bedroom apartment and can live independently. He joins for breakfast and dinner, makes new friends, and enjoys a beautiful atmosphere. Change can be hard for the elderly, but over time, our dad is joining in community events. We feel very comfortable with our decision.

"Great Assisted Living with Friendly Staff – Brookdale Glen Ellyn, IL"
I really liked this place! It's great. If they had 24-hour nurses on the assisted living floor, I'd give them 5 stars. The staff is awesome, and the residents are friendly, encouraging their friends and family to move here too.

"Mixed Experience with A Place for Mom"
I used A Place for Mom twice. When my dad got sick, I planned for them to move near me in Colorado. We toured several places I liked, but one didn't sit right with me. My parents tried one for a month while he recovered to see if they liked it, and they did. Two years later, they were still in their house, which wasn't right. I used A Place for Mom again to find the best fit in Chicagoland. Both times, the advisors were helpful and not pushy. It took two years from start to finish, but I felt supported and not pressured. I highly recommend A Place for Mom.

"Facility Good, But Loved One Prefers Independence"
She clarified that she wasn't displeased with how they cared for her loved one. However, their family member wasn't satisfied, mainly because they wished to live independently. She emphasized that the place was genuinely beautiful and that she was pretty happy with it overall.

"Mixed Experience at Brookdale Glen Ellyn"
We picked Brookdale Glen Ellyn because it's a lovely, clean place. Overall, it's wonderful, but there have been a few disappointments. We had to bring our own towels and bathrobes, which we thought were included. Mom's physical therapy schedule is inconsistent, and that can be frustrating.

"Poor Tour Experience, Outdated Rooms, Full Parking at Assisted Living Facility"
Sharon on the phone was superb, but our tour guide (Luisa) was awful. She was only there for the tour and nothing more. She could not answer any of our queries and it was tough understanding her. She was not ready at all. Additionally, the third floor's laundry room had a terrible 'sour' smell. The parking lot was jam-packed because of nearby sports games.

"Assisted Living Facility Provides Enjoyable Activities and Friendly Staff"
This place is alright. It's kept pretty clean and the staff is mostly nice. We don't really have any big issues so far. We picked this place mainly because of the fun activities they offer. They have some outings and better activities than other places.

"Spacious Assisted Living with Cozy Atmosphere"
They have a place where people can move into when they need help, but it felt really big. Maybe I was just worn out because it was our last stop. It was clean, and there were lots of folks chilling on the ground level.

"Great Tour, Friendly Atmosphere, But Location Wasn't Ideal"
We met with she and she gave us info and tours of a one-bedroom and a studio. This is a nice place with a very friendly and nice feeling. There's nothing wrong with it—the only drawback for us is the location.
