"Good Place with Some Improvements Needed"
Sometimes, there are small issues with communication. But overall, the place is really clean, and everyone is friendly. The care services could be better if they had more staff. My dad has no complaints about the meals. Unfortunately, he's too sick to join the activities. Still, they seem to have exciting plans. It's not bad, and they offer many services.

"Positive experience: Great activities, accessible fitness, and excellent staff at respite stay."
My first respite stay was good, but the second one after surgery was even better. The programs and activities were wonderful. The fitness classes were available to everyone, no matter their health. There were also activities for memory care. The food was well prepared and served nicely. The staff were helpful to deal with, and the residents were as friendly as always.

"Caring Staff Makes Brookdale Urbana Highly Recommended"
The workers at Brookdale Urbana are really nice and ready to help with anything you need. They do more than what's expected and we're really thankful for them. That's the most important thing for us. I would tell others to go to Brookdale Urbana for sure.

"Inconsistent Staff and Food Quality Impact Community"
The staff is nice, but they keep changing. The food is terrible, so I can't suggest this place. They've had four different cooks in the past four months. Communication with staff is improving, but sometimes I can't find a manager to talk about specific things. Overall, the community feels unsettled.

"Understaffed Facility Delivers Poor Care Due to Bad Management"
Stay away from here. Keep searching for something better, this place just won't be right for you. I was subject to less than satisfactory care. They also don't have enough staff. I don't think their bad care is just due to lack of staff. I simply think it's badly managed.

"Staff Unwilling to Support Needs in Assisted Living Facility"
I do not advise taking your family member to this place. The staff were not ready to put in much effort, and because of that, we had to hire extra help for my loved one for eight hours daily. The marketing lady told us they would handle extensive immediate care before my loved one moved in, but they didn't. They were not open to adjusting their meals to suit dietary restrictions. When my family member asked for different food, the chef yelled at them. I'd only suggest placing someone here if they can take care of themselves.

"Unwelcoming Reception at Assisted Living"
My family and I dropped in one Saturday afternoon, and there wasn’t anybody at the front desk to greet us. Whenever we phone or come by on weekdays, the person at the desk is pretty chilly and not too friendly. It’s important that everyone gets a nice hello and feels welcome whenever they walk through the front door.

"Assisted Living Community Review"
I want to tell you that this place doesn't have enough staff. Families aren't informed about COVID outbreaks promptly. They eventually send an email, but they don't update us on what's happening. The food isn't very good. When they have enough staff, they organize trivia, games, exercise, and other activities.

"Comfortable Facility with Nursing Home Feel"
I rate this place above average. It's nice with friendly staff, but not exactly what we wanted. We prefer assisted living that feels more like home. The rooms are smaller here, and it feels more like a nursing home than an apartment complex.
