"High care costs stress families"

The staff has done a great job caring for my husband. However, in the past 2 years, the rent went up about 30%. I don't think this is just because of inflation like the letter from management said. Recently, my husband needed more care, and the price went up right away by $[]. Corporate couldn't explain why. I don't get how they expect families on a fixed income to pay these bills. It's already hard enough to have loved ones in Assisted Living; families shouldn't have to worry about paying for different levels of care. Cedarhurst should be more understanding about the costs of caregiving.

"Assisted Living Falls Short on Promises and Staffing, Disappointing Experience"

The assisted living place seemed okay at first, but things got worse over time. They said they'd give more help when needed, but they didn't. When we first came, there were two staff members to help out. Now, there's only one, which isn't enough for everyone living there. Sometimes, my family member would sleep in, and they'd leave breakfast out for a long time. Then, when they woke up, they'd give it to them cold. It was really disappointing. They're okay if you can take care of yourself, but they're not good at helping with hygiene or memory problems.

"Cost Spike Leaves Elderly Residents Struggling"

The cost of the point system jumped from a whopping 140% increase. Unfortunately, services remained unchanged, and no one could explain why. It’s outrageous and unfair to our elderly residents. Social Security didn’t see a 15% boost, after all.
