"Struggled with Communication but Overall Happy with Assisted Living"
Overall, we're really pleased with the assisted living facility. However, I wish they communicated better. At first, it was hard to get information about his care plan, especially about physical therapy and occupational therapy. We're still having trouble getting clear answers about billing.

"Administration Disappoints in Assisted Living Facility"
Most of the nurses and care staff were great, but the administration fell short. We asked about a Hoyer Lift, and both our referral contact and the Addington Place Admissions Coordinator assured us it would be available. Unfortunately, the Director of Nursing later informed us that a Hoyer Lift wasn't an option for our loved one. Very frustrating.

"Tour provided by housekeeper, not expected; facility needs organization."
The person who was supposed to show us around couldn't make it, so they got someone from housekeeping to do it, which I thought was strange.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
My family member has diabetes and needs insulin shots. The meals are okay, but they don't cater to my loved one's dietary needs. The staff is nice, and they offer activities in the afternoon. Things have improved, but we're exploring other options.

"Contact Struggles"
My family member is at the facility, and I need to talk to someone about issues. Unfortunately, it’s hard to reach management. A contact person would be greatly appreciated!

"Loved One's Room Too Small, Facility Layout Not Ideal"
We thought the place was okay overall. The tour was good. But my loved one felt the rooms were too small for her. Also, the whole place didn't seem as new, open, and spacious as the community she ended up choosing.

"Happy with the Help and Cozy Apartment"
I really like it here. It’s been good for me. They have a nice chapel, and people are always ready to help. I’m very thankful for everyone’s help. My apartment is small but cozy.

"Inadequate care, lacking communication."
They agreed to take my parents, then said they couldn't. No follow-up after moving in.

"Caring staff and good activities; satisfied with father-in-law's care."
My Father-in-Law stays here, and we really like it. Everything seems good. No complaints yet. The staff helped him switch from liquids to softer, healthier foods. They offer activities like memory games for socializing. We're happy with his care overall.

"Good Community, Enjoyable Tour"
I liked this community a lot, and we're on the waiting list. Everything looked well-maintained and clean. The staff was friendly, informative, and answered my questions. My tour was a very good experience.

"Visited the Place, Liked it but Left Due to Waitlist"
We got a chance to check out this place and actually enjoyed it. But after looking at some apartments, we were only left with choices on the 3rd floor and there's a waiting list. We didn't have the patience to wait for an apartment and it seemed like there were a lot of people already living there.

"Amazing care and special staff"
This place is amazing. Our aunt got the best personal care. The staff really cared about her life. They did more than expected to make sure she was comfortable. The building is clean and nice, as you would expect. But the staff is what makes this place special. They are truly wonderful.

"Best Cedarhurst Location with Caring and Respectful Staff"
My sisters and I visited a good friend at Cedarhurst. We've been to several other facilities, including two other Cedarhursts, but the one in Shiloh left the best impression. The dining room seemed a bit dark and crowded at lunch, but overall it was nice. We were greeted within 5 minutes in the lobby by several young ladies. They asked if we needed help, offered coffee, and introduced themselves as 'caregivers.' Their care and respect were noticeable. It's rare to see young people with such maturity. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

"Residents happy, all's well at assisted living facility"
I haven't heard any negatives about this place. If the residents are happy, then I'm happy too. As far as I can tell, everything is going really well.

"Cedarhurst: High Price, Low Care for Alzheimer's Patients"
This place is pretty, but their care for Alzheimer's and dementia isn't good. Everything was clean and some staff tried to do their best, but the lady in charge had an attitude whenever questioned. They just make residents sit in recliners and watch TV. The nurse didn't seem knowledgeable. We kept getting calls asking for advice, about 15-20 a week. We hired professionals so we wouldn't have to answer these questions. Despite the high prices, the memory care side always seemed inactive. Wouldn't advise anyone to choose Cedarhurst for their loved ones.
