"Family toured; nice community, second choice, too far away."
Our family visited this facility in person. It's a really nice community and was our second favorite option. However, it's too far away for us.

"Nice Place with Minor Caregiver Issues, Good Reputation"
Overall, it’s been a positive experience. There were a few small problems with some caregivers not being very helpful now and then. But in general, the place has a nice vibe. I’ve spent time there with several family members, and it lives up to its good reputation.

"Family Communication Needs Improvement at Cedarhurst of Yorkville"
We chose Cedarhurst of Yorkville because it's close by. They need better family communication. When I visited my relative's room, the bed had no sheets and missing pillowcases tucked away in a cabinet. Unsure how long they'd been missing. Recommended if you can check on things yourself.

"Spacious Rooms and Good Care, with Room for Menu Improvement"
We've mostly liked Cedarhurst. The rooms are big, bigger than others I've seen in places like this. They made sure to provide pureed food, but I think they could offer more choices on their regular menu.

"Mixed Feelings on First Assisted Living Experience"
As someone new to Assisted Living, I suggest researching first. The staff is generally helpful. Food's good. The place looks nice. Outdoor area is lovely. Some staff members shine.

"Fantastic care and activities, I can finally rest easy"
This place is great at taking care of my parents' health needs. They also do a wonderful job getting my parents involved in activities. I don’t have to visit every day like I did at other places. Now I can sleep at night knowing they are getting excellent care.

"Great Assisted Living Option!"
This new place feels warm and cozy, not too big. My mom liked it, and I hope she chooses it because it's close to home. The staff were friendly, and the lady who helped us wasn't pushy. She even shared info about senior resources and Veteran's benefits. I recommend this place!

"Misleadingly Resort like, Pushy Staff, Small Rooms, Dismissive Attitude"
My mom can't stay here. It's like a fancy hotel, but unwelcoming. The rooms are tiny and the person who showed us around was only interested in getting us to sign up. She didn't care about what my mom actually needs, just about how much money they could get from us. She even tried to pressure us into picking the most expensive option without even checking if my mom needed it. And then she had the nerve to tell us not to bother looking at other places. No thanks.
