"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Overall, it's been okay. They take care of people. The building looks nice and smells fine. But, there were some issues. When we moved in, there was a big stain on the floor that we had to ask to be cleaned. It seemed like they forgot about it because it wasn't used before. And there was a mess around the toilet, which wasn't pleasant. The staff were really friendly before we chose to live there. But after moving in, the daytime secretary was sometimes rude, not just to us but to others too. We told them about it because we're paying for a nice attitude. The rest of the staff, like the maintenance guy and the lunch ladies, are great though. We haven't seen much of the office staff after our first meeting. There's a good hair stylist there, even though she doesn't work for them. The communication between staff could be better. They seem to take care of medical needs like checking blood sugar, but it takes a long time for them to respond when you need help. And the food isn't great, especially for people with special diets like diabetics. The activities are nice, but they have to keep asking my relative if she wants to join because she forgets why she's there. And scheduling transportation for appointments is a bit of a hassle, especially since they don't take appointments after 2 PM. We can't really say if it's worth the money because we don't have anything to compare it to.

"Clean, Friendly, But Institutional: Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The place looks nice, clean, and well-maintained. Staff is friendly, but feels institutional, lacking homely vibe.

"Pushy Staff, Unwilling Loved One: Disappointing Assisted Living Experience"
We visited the place with our family, but the people showing us around were kind of pushy. In the end, our family member just didn't feel comfortable going back there.

"Limited Financial Options Impact Decision"
I really liked this place, but what ultimately swayed me was that my family member requires a community that accepts Medicaid if needed. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option here. The tour was informative, but we wished for more financial choices."

"'Poor Management and Smelly Carpets at Assisted Living Facility'"
Most of the staff at this assisted living facility were fantastic, but a few seemed totally disinterested. The management left a lot to be desired. It was really tough to get in touch with them - they were apparently always in meetings and they take ages to return calls, if they return them at all. They also allow dogs, which is cool, but the carpets definitely have a smell.

"New Management Improves Facility, But Staff and Amenities Still Lacking"
This place is getting better under the new leaders. The staff, though, needs to step up. The person in charge of activities should put more effort into organizing fun things for the people living here. They don't have much else to be excited about. The nurses in charge don't always act like they should and can seem uncaring. It takes too long for them to answer calls from the people here! The assistants seem messy and complain a lot. It would be great if the people living here had a path to walk around and a place to enjoy the outdoors.

"Mixed Feelings about Maplewood Manor"
The workers are nice and helpful. They answer my questions. The food's okay, could be improved. I didn't ask about Dad's thoughts. I had to clean filmy windows.

"Moderate Review of Assisted Living Facility"
The dining tables at the facility are always tidy and spotless, and the napkins and clothes are kept clean. However, the service in the dining room can be slow, especially when it comes to refilling coffee. Most of the time, the food is pretty good. The overall cleaning is somewhat acceptable but could be better. Regarding the staff, they can sometimes be disrespectful. They need to improve their responsiveness, especially after incidents like fire alarms.

"Good care and friendly staff help with adjustment"
My loved one had a tough time adjusting to moving here, but I think she’s happy now. She’s getting good care and actually spending time outside her room. She’s being more social and interacting with other people, not just talking to me. The staff is very knowledgeable and keeps in touch well. We both think they could use more staff, but the current team does a good job with the care they provide. The nursing staff helps with her medication and always calls me if there’s a problem. She goes to the dining area to eat and is making friends. The other residents are friendly and welcoming. A nice thing is that they can take her to doctor appointments if you give them a day’s notice.

"Pricey but promising assisted living with pet-friendly environment undergoing renovations."
This place was kinda like the other ones I checked out but cost more. They're fixing it up, which seems cool. Plus, they let you bring pets.

"Decent Facility, Needs Some Adjustments"
This place is okay. My family member lives there independently with helpers assisting with showers. The helpers are pleasant. However, I'm worried that my loved one isn't getting her medication on time. We haven't heard from the facility's director to check on things. There's ongoing construction that's becoming noticeable. There are enjoyable bus trips. The food isn't great - there are two choices or a sandwich. Despite these issues, I'd still suggest this place to others.

"Doubts About Cherryvale Place's Security"
We visited Cherryvale Place. It was a neat and pleasant place. They suggested that my relative should stay with the assisted living residents downstairs, instead of being upstairs with the people with memory issues. I wasn't sure if the facility was safe enough to keep my loved one from walking away.

"Change in Management Leads to Decline in Quality"
This place was good when my family member first arrived. But ever since there's a new management team, the conditions have worsened. The meals are no longer taste good and the team members keep changing. There are water leaks in the building. The staff are failing to meet the requirements of their residents. The place is lovely to look at but they've lost about half of their residents since this shift happened.

"Look Elsewhere: Cherry Vale Place is a Disaster"
My grandma stayed here for two years, during which the cost kept going up but the promised services didn't. Actually, ever since the place got a new name and new owners, it got really bad. My grandma ended up in the hospital. It was dirty, short-staffed, and they hardly took care of my grandma. It got so bad at Cherry Vale Place that we had to move her to a different home!

"Top-notch community!"
Cherryvale Place is a great place to live. It was our second choice because our first choice is run by the same company. The staff were super nice and helpful. They were ready to make the apartment better for our loved one. The whole community is well-maintained and modernized.
