"Smooth Move-In and Positive Experience at Assisted Living"
Our loved one's move-in went smoothly, and they're happy with everything. The staff score is lower due to a maintenance issue. Overall, we recommend this community to other families.

"Care Declines at Assisted Living Facility"
The care was really good at first, but now things have changed in the facility, and it's not as good anymore. The employees try their best, but it starts with the people in charge. We're searching for other options for our loved one.

"Unsatisfied Review; Poor Cleanliness, Subpar Care at Church Creek"
Over the years, both of my folks have been at Church Creek, both in Rehab and Assisted Living. Lately, things aren't looking too good there. The cleanliness of the rooms leaves much to be desired. Even though the staff is nice, they aren't very helpful. Plus, the quality of care is pretty much under par. Silver lining, he rocks at Speech Therapy. But if you need a place that will really step up for your family, I'd recommend you check out other options.

"Assisted Living Too Much Like City; Mom Unhappy Here"
Mom didn't like this place because it felt too busy and big. It made her think of a big city, which she didn't like. The workers were nice and useful, but Mom wouldn't have been glad living there.

"Great care and value for mom's well-being"
We were really happy with the care my mom got here. The staff was kind and always took care of her needs. The place was always clean and well-kept. The menu was great, with lots of choices she liked. They also had fun activities she enjoyed. We recommend this place for the great care and value it offers.

"Good Looking Renovation, But Not For Us"
When I visited, the community seemed welcoming and they were seriously revamping the area, which looked really good. But sadly, the place did not cater to our specific needs, so we decided against moving in.

"Construction Zone!"
It's tough for me to share my experience at this community because everything was under construction. They were in the process of remodeling the place, including the dining room and other common areas. However, the staff was kind and helpful with the information they provided.

"Distressing Experience with Father's Assisted Living Facility Care"
My recently deceased father might've lived another decade or two, if it wasn't for the poor care he received at a place named Church Creek. Despite being in the rehab side after breaking his hip, I believe the regrettable conduct there was reflective of their overall standards. Frankly, I loathe having to share this awful experience, and lawsuits are not my family's style, otherwise, we would've filed a severe one. But my conscience urges me to bring this to light. The way they treated my father was unprofessional and exploitative, to say the least. I strongly believe he'd be alive, if not for their negligence in two key issues. Firstly, his hip stabilizer was incorrectly fitted, unknown to us for a month, leading to reduced mobility after healing. He was practically bound to a wheelchair or walker and sharply declined from there. Secondly, improper care led to severe bedsores. They also administered useless tests [removed] instead of necessary ones, which missed his soaring liver enzyme levels. It's deplorable that they prioritized profit over my father's health and nearly claimed his life. I accept that my father was a 'demanding' patient, but that doesn't justify their mistakes or exploitation. We're thankful that we managed to remove him from there in December '15, or he would've passed sooner. Their aloofness and lack of empathy are deeply unsettling. Hypothetically, it can be due to insufficient staff, but that’s no excuse. It doesn't lessen their responsibility towards their patients. The day we finally took him home, he was severely swollen. It was a dire situation that finally led to his saving, albeit, for a year or two more. This whole ordeal is challenging for me and does nothing to ease my pain. The only relief I can hope for is closure.

"Dad's Unimpressed Visit to Quiet, Old-Fashioned Facility"

"Swindlers In Charge of This Assisted Living Facility"

"Insufficient Facilities and Lack of Memory Care Focus"
I checked out a room and surprisingly, it didn't come with an individual shower. I specifically needed a place that predominantly focuses on memory care at the time, yet they really didn't center their services on that.

"Not the Best: Family Left in the Dark at Facility"
I worry a lot. She's having a hard time fitting in. Some folks there are super nice, and that's great, but the money people are not good at their jobs, like keeping track of bills. I think she's being taken care of, but they're not really helpful to us, her family. It feels like they're not telling me everything. The place looks good, but it's not been great. We're not hearing back enough from them.

They’re doing great so far. I don’t have any big worries. It’s really clean, and the staff is nice. It feels almost like staying at a hotel or resort. It’s still new, but I’m really happy with it so far.

"Review: Maintenance concerns at Assisted Living Facility in Arlington Heights, IL"
I wasn't really wowed. It seems like they're dealing with dampness problems because the carpets are peeling off the floor. I'm not sure how the people with walkers can cope with this. One good thing though is the storage closet by each apartment.

"Nice living spaces, but services, care and maintenance are subpar."
The living quarters seem nice, but the facilities and services are not up to par. There's no proper orientation for new residents and cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. Laundry often goes missing. Although the staff are generally friendly, their medical expertise varies greatly and workers are frequently replaced. The entrance area always appears poorly maintained and the only outdoor space is a car-filled, fume-heavy lot. Assisted living care leaves much to be desired, and diabetics shouldn't expect any special meal accommodations. Also, despite multiple fixes, my mom's air conditioning unit remains broken.

"Pretty cool but dim place with uninterested residents"
It's a pretty cool place but super long, so you'd have to walk a lot. The place felt kind of dim and the people living there didn't seem too interested in things.

"Top-notch care, diverse activities, and flexible pricing delight residents!"
We haven't found anything bad yet! Our family member loves the food! Every time we visit, everything looks great and well-maintained! The staff are all very helpful and polite! They always have activities going on. Not everyone can join, but they offer choices. When we were looking around, this seemed like the best deal! Some other places bundle everything into one price, but here you can choose what you need and pay for that!

"Nursing Home a Nightmare; Investigation Required"
The assisted living facility where my mom stayed wasn't too bad, but the specialized nursing home was absolutely dreadful. I wouldn't even consider sending a dog there. My mom would just be lying there all day whenever I walked in. No one was checking on her and there was a noticeably nasty scent of urine. The food served there was below par. My mom had to return her meals multiple times because it was just too horrible to eat. Quite often when she was in the dining room, all you could hear were complaints about how awful the food was. I would have to spend 5-6 hours there just to ensure that she was getting her basic necessities and meals. I had a really hard time with the place and was frankly repulsed by it. My siblings met with the staff, but it didn't lead to anything productive. Even though the assisted living was acceptable, the specialized nursing was a complete disaster. I truly believe someone from Medicare should investigate it as it seems like a massive fraud.

" Affordable, spacious assisted living with nature access, community amenities. "
This place is really good and worth thinking about. It's not as expensive as the Heritage, but it's not as pretty because of the location. There are 2 ponds and some nice paths to walk on, so you can enjoy nature. The building is big, and there are groups for walking indoors and outdoors, which my Mom really liked. She met a lady at the gym, and they became friends right away. The bus is great—it goes to different places in the area, and residents can ask for a ride almost anywhere within 10 miles (which helps because there aren't many things nearby to walk to). The rooms are a bit old-fashioned, like something from the Brady Bunch, and they don't plan to update them. I was surprised by that. There aren't any ovens in the rooms, but my mom felt like she could live without that. They allow dogs. The healthcare is done by a different company, but they're on the property.
