"Broken promises, rising costs, and inadequate services mar assisted living."
My mom's been there 3 years, rent up, promises broken, bad food, poor cleaning, internet gone, same price. Owner unsympathetic. Nurses great but no 3rd shift nurse. Many issues.

"Hardly Assisted Living for Your Beloved Seniors at Fort Armstrong"
My mom called Fort Armstrong home for more than two years. The ladies in the office seem to be great at their jobs - as long as those jobs involve selling their services and ensuring their own job security. There's a few gems hidden among the staff like the man who is always there to greet you at the front desk on the weekend, and the ladies who serve dinner. But let me tell you, this is not where you want your aged loved ones to be living. It's more like a second-rate motel than an assisted living facility. The elevators never seem to be working properly. The caregivers? More like they took a page out of the sloth's book, except they might even be a bit slower. If your senior means the world to you, consider another facility.

"Adjustments Bring Comfort: Mom Settles in New Surroundings"
Moving someone with dementia can be scary. That was the case for my mom. The move was a bit much for her at first. But, after some changes to her medicine, things are getting better. Now, she's relaxing and getting used to her new home. She enjoys going downstairs or outside to see the beautiful landscaping. She talks with other residents and the staff. The food is okay. Mom eats most of it, but she's picky sometimes. Luckily, the community is close to my house—only five minutes away. That makes me feel better.

"Ft. Armstrong: Poor Care, Mistreatment, and Unethical Suggestions"
We really didn't have a good experience at Ft. Armstrong. A family member was wrongly placed in Assisted Living by their staff. It seemed like all they wanted was him there for the money. When he had a messy accident, the staff wouldn't clean it up and a friend had to step in. After a month, they practically kicked him out without a clear reason. Getting around was hard with an elevator that went up to 9 stories. The staff even recommended we not pay a credit card bill so he'd have more money to give them. While they did help in some areas, overall, we felt horrible about everything. The staff even told him he was unwelcomed.

"Affordable, but Flawed Assisted Living Experience"
There’s no fee to join the community. The place isn’t easy to get to. It’s got cool-looking buildings, but the living spaces and bathrooms could be better. There are a lot of levels to the place, and the elevator was out of order. The price is $3,195 a month.

"Pricey facility with troublesome elevator and mediocre rooms"
There's no community fee. However, reaching this place is a hassle. It has a cool looking building, but the rooms and bathrooms aren't great. There are lots of floors to navigate and the elevator doesn't function properly. The monthly charge is a hefty $3195.

A Place For Mom Customer
"Small, Clean, and Caring, but Not for Mom"
The place was clean with small living spaces. They offer more care than my mom needs right now. She didn't like it.

"Neat Facility, Limited Space, Excessive Care, Mom Disapproves"
The place is neat and tidy but the space is limited and it provides more assistance than my mom currently requires. She wasn't a fan.
