"Convenient Location and Happy Choice"
The place is convenient because it's close to where I live, so it's easy to visit. We picked Heartis and we're glad we did.

"Consider Multiple Visits and Ask Key Questions Before Choosing"
Make sure to visit more than once if you're considering this place for an elderly loved one. Join the residents for a meal to get a real feel of the place. See how they feel about living there and what activities keep them busy. Try to meet the chef and ask about their experience at the facility. It's also important to know how long the place has been managed by the current team. Inquire about healthcare practices, such as medication distribution and personal care routines. Understand the resident to caregiver and nursing staff ratio. Find out how the residents can ask for help, especially in emergency situations like when they're in the shower. Talk to the maintenance and cleaning crew to find out the frequency of cleanups. As someone who had to find an assisted living facility for a family member for the first time, I was initially clueless about what to ask. The facility could be a good one, but it needs some major improvements. The residents can clearly see that they need more assistance from the staff.

"Limited activities, good care; room clean, staff caring in memory care."
Our loved one moved from assisted living to memory care here. Memory care offers few activities, mainly just weekly bingo; otherwise, residents mostly watch TV. The food isn't as good as in assisted living. Despite this, our loved one receives excellent care. Her room and the facility are consistently clean, and the staff treats her very well.

"Warm and welcoming assisted living with caring staff"
When you step inside, it feels like home. The girl at the front desk is incredibly sweet; her smile and greeting are awesome. She knows so much; every job needs someone like her. The nurses are always ready to help your loved ones; they're there for you and your family whenever you need. If you haven't visited yet, come see for yourself!

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
We visited in person and it was really nice. Lots of open space. The people we met, residents and staff, were all very nice and friendly.

"Staff overwhelmed in memory care unit"
The assisted living part looks really nice and could be a great option. However, I wouldn't recommend the memory care community. The staff seemed overwhelmed and couldn't give the extra care needed.

"Hoping for Normalcy at Assisted Living Amidst Covid"
The place says they offer lots of activities, but because of Covid, we haven’t seen much. They’ve only started to open the dining area again. My family member wasn’t happy with the meals when they had to eat in their room. Most fun things to do have been stopped, and they’re only showing movies now. We’re crossing our fingers that the bus outings will start up again soon. I haven’t really talked to the workers much since we can’t go inside. They do send updates through email. I’ve called a few times when I needed something, and I didn’t have trouble talking to someone. We’re all just eager to get back to how things were before and have more things to do as Covid gets better.

"Excellent Care, Food, and Activities at Heartis Village"
Heartis Village really cares about its residents. The food is top-notch, which is really important. The building is clean and well-kept, and the maintenance staff does a great job. We’ve been really happy with our experience here and have recommended Heartis Village to others. Before the quarantine, they organized local trips and brought in entertainers. They also have a packed schedule of events and take residents to their doctor’s appointments.

"Grand Assisted Living: Knowledgeable Director, Beautiful Places, Comparable to Bickford"
The person in charge knew a lot and took us to see some really nice spots. This spot is for sure a top choice, just like Bickford. It's so fancy! The person in charge was amazing and knew a lot.

"Very Nice"
We visited this place while searching for a new home for our loved ones. It's definitely a pleasant community, and we enjoyed it. However, cost became an issue for our family, so we opted for a more practical community.

"Consider This Place for Elderly Family Members"
We had a look around this place and thought the workers were nice. The place wasn't really what we wanted. It could use some better cleaning. The food choices looked good and there were activities my mom could join in. We think other families should check this place out for their older family members.
