"Nice Facility with Friendly Staff, But Limited Amenities"

During my search for a place for my loved one, I visited Heritage Woods of Charleston. This place was really nice! It's super clean and they've done some recent remodeling. The rooms are nice, but they don't have stoves and the fridge is really small. The staff was really friendly and helpful. However, they don't include as much in the monthly price as the other place we were looking at. In the end, we chose the other facility.

"“Deceptive Assisted Living: A Heartbreaking Experience”"

We brought our Mom here, thinking she’d be safe. We asked multiple times for a life line button, but they claimed none were functional and we’d have to wait. After just 3 weeks, she fell in her bathroom, calling out for help. She suffered a brain bleed, a broken hip, and arm. Now she’s in a nursing home. Heritage in Charleston and the Bradley home office repeatedly deceived us about refunding our upfront payment. Truly shameful.

"Heritage Facility Proves Unsafe And Deceitful"

We had moved our Mom into this facility hoping for her safety. Despite numerous requests to provide a life line button for her use, they kept informing us that none were available and that we had to wait. Sadly, within a mere three weeks of her stay, she had a fall in her washroom and was left calling for aid. The fall resulted in a severely damaged brain, a broken hip, and arm. She had to be transferred to a care home. The representatives at Heritage in Charleston and their main office in Bradley have continually deceived us about refunding pre-paid fees. Truly, it's disgraceful.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Assistance and Amenities"

This place needs to learn what assistance means. When residents ask for help, the staff often says no or refuses. The food isn't great, and sometimes residents can't even eat in the dining room. Medications are late, leaving residents without important medicine for days. They only provide transportation to medical appointments once a week. If you need help with oxygen or insulin, forget it. The staff isn't allowed to assist with either. Housekeeping is lacking. Overall, very disappointing.

"Lousy Care and Missing Belongings at Assisted Living Facility"

The nursing care at this place is incredibly bad; it's totally not safe. My mom or dad got too much of their blood thinner and wasn't given their antibiotics at all- even though the doctor said they should have them. Also, it seems like stuff keeps disappearing. Every time she has to go to the hospital, someone on staff who has a key goes through her stuff and takes anything that's worth anything.

"Quick Decline: Awful Food, Bad Care, High Staff Turnover."

This place has really gotten worse. The food is awful, lacks nutrition, and gets boring. The nursing care is low-tier and doesn't focus on the residents. A lot of nursing assistants keep leaving.

"Seniors Disappointed at Heritage Assisted Living"

My mom's been at Heritage for a few months, but I'm not happy with the care. The staff isn't great, especially the nurses. They keep changing CNAs, which confuses my mom. Her laundry goes missing, meds aren't on time, and her apartment isn't clean. I used to hear good things about Heritage, but it's disappointing. Seniors deserve better.

"Dissatisfied with Heritage's Quality of Care"

Mom's been living at Heritage for only some months and frankly, I'm disappointed in the service provided. We're currently considering other options due to poor staff quality, particularly in the nursing department. The constant rotation of their nursing assistants is disrupting mom's comfort. Complaints also include frequently misplaced laundry, untimely medication distribution and less than satisfactory cleaning of her room. I'd previously heard favorable reviews about Heritage before moving mom there; I'm saddened by the reality we've encountered. The elderly deserve far better treatment for the price we're paying.

"Friendly staff, but sometimes short on CNAs."

The staff is very friendly and always ready to help, even with tasks that aren’t their usual duties. However, they often have trouble keeping enough CNAs, so sometimes they are short-staffed.

"Friendly and Helpful, but Occasionally Short-Staffed"

The staff here is really friendly and always ready to help, even if it’s not their usual job. However, they sometimes have trouble keeping enough CNAs and can be short-staffed.
