"Unmet Care and Activity Expectations"
The assisted living facility provided limited assistance with daily living activities. The registered nurse was only available during a 40-hour workweek, leaving nights and weekends uncovered. We were told that all staff would be in-house, but it turned out that most aides were from an agency, meaning a constant change of unfamiliar faces caring for residents. Activities that were described as “good” or outings were very rare. For those on Medicaid, after paying for cable and phone, there’s hardly any money left, and participation in outings is not possible unless the family covers the cost. A significant plus is that Medicaid residents are given a private room. For those paying privately, the cost is over [price removed] a month. Our main issue was the lack of care and activities that were promised. When we brought up concerns about services mentioned in my father’s contract not being provided, the Administrator dismissed us as complainers and showed no concern. My father was supposed to receive two showers a week, which didn’t happen. The aides spent less than ten minutes a day interacting with him and would complain loudly if he asked for help getting up from the toilet. The calendar of activities was misleading, listing many options but mostly consisting of unengaging worksheets left at the door to be completed alone. The contract promised a care and activity plan tailored to my father’s needs, but this was never realized. The person in charge of activities was rude when we inquired about the plan. The food was just average. We have been waiting for a partial refund for three months since moving out.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Spacious Units"
The facility is nice and clean, with no unpleasant smells. It has 89 units, and the one-bedroom I saw was spacious enough for home furniture. The bathroom is large and has handicap accessibility. You can easily get a wheelchair through the front door and into the bathroom. Unfortunately, there's no veteran discount, and the price is a bit high. Overall, it's a good place for aging in place.

"Waiting List Frustration at Assisted Living"
It was a cozy place, and everyone looked content. I felt let down because I couldn't see a studio or apartment. They have a waiting list, but nobody could tell me how long it might take. I get that they can't be certain, but it'd be nice to know if it's 3 months or 3 years.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living: A Daughter's Perspective"
I thought this place was nice. People were friendly and the place looked clean. But my mom wasn't comfortable here.

"Beautiful Lobbies, Not Quite Right for Us"
We visited this place during our search. The grand staircases in the lobbies are stunning, although I’m not sure how often residents use them. Overall, it was lovely, but unfortunately, it didn’t suit our needs.

"Mom didn't like it, but I thought it was beautiful."
We visited when searching. The lobbies had grand staircases, stunning. Not sure if residents use them much. It looked lovely, but not right for us, said mom.

"Failed Care and Lack of Communication"
They weren't nice to me. This place isn't even assisted living. It's worse than that. They claim it's assisted living, but it's not. My loved one stayed there last winter for half a year. She kept falling - she was rushed to the emergency room nine times - they wouldn't even inform me. In the end, she broke her back and had to be moved to a recovery center.

"Can't Help With Colostomy Care, Memory Issues a Concern"
They can't help with colostomy care, even if my mom learns how to do it every day. This place might not be the right fit, especially if colostomy is reversed, because memory problems get worse when sick.
