I don’t want to put him in a place where there are only women. No activities. What do they do all day? Just watch TV?

"Quiet Home with Caring Staff, but Limited Social Activities"
Home Sweet Home is really clean, and the staff make sure everyone living there is too. They cook fresh meals every single day. The place is super quiet, almost like that’s the rule. People don’t chat much—it feels like they’re not supposed to. Everyone mostly sits around, watches classic films, and naps. That might be okay for some folks, but it didn’t fit what my family member needed. They didn’t really try to get residents to do things together. I think the staff could learn more about how to connect with older people, especially those with Dementia. There were always two staff members for every eight people living there, which is a pretty good number. There’s a lot that’s great about the place. But it’s best for those who are naturally quiet and don’t really talk or hang out much.
