"Poor management, inadequate meals."

The person in charge is mean. Food portions too small.

"Great Care at Jennings Terrace"

Jennings Terrace isn't fancy, but the staff are really dedicated and give personal attention to each resident. For the price, the quality of care is totally worth it. I would highly recommend Jennings Terrace to other families.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"

I'd suggest this community for loved ones. The staff answers questions, though sometimes there's a delay. They're friendly and help with phone calls. The neighborhood location is nice, but they could improve the lawn.

"Nice Staff but Feels More Like a Nursing Home"

Our family took an in-person tour, and the staff seemed super nice, caring, and genuine. But the community felt more like a nursing home. The rooms were small, just big enough for a bed, and they had shared bathrooms. Also, the entire community was not air-conditioned at the time. You could put in a window unit, but with our loved one's breathing problems, we thought that would be an issue.

"Rooms Converted, Costs Rise: Not Ideal for Single Men!"

"There are too many rooms turning into two-room apartments! Guys prefer one room! It's making prices higher with these two-room apartments!

"Jennings Terrace: Shoddy Care, Poor Management, and Unfair Tactics"

Jennings Terrace has no memory or Alzheimer's support, and their nursing care isn't great at all. Things used to be better here. The skilled nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants often get fired or driven away quickly because they speak up about the poor and potentially illegal treatment of the residents. The management and especially the executive director, along with her best friend, aren't answerable to anyone. These women only enforce rules when it benefits them. Don't dare to challenge them unless you want to be shown the door as well. Several people have tried to bring up concerns with the board of directors. But the residents and their families have no info about who these directors are. Two of the four 5-star reviews for Jennings Terrace are from office staff - probably forced into rating. They're decent women who're trying to hold down their jobs. My mom has been living at Jennings Terrace for a while now. The last three years though, under the new management, have been tough for both residents and the caring staff.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short of Promises and Comfort"

The tour promises more than what you'll find inside. While the price might seem low, the rooms are cramped, with shared toilets and community showers. The food quality is poor, lacking fresh fruits and vegetables, mainly canned. Evening activities are non-existent. Mice and bugs are common pests. Room temperature control is out of residents' hands, leading to discomfort. There's no computer room, and the gym is minimal. Outings are sparse, often limited to Walmart visits. Observing residents' expressions in the lobby reveals their true feelings.

"Caring Atmosphere"

This place feels caring, not like a business.

"Older Assisted Living Place Not Right for Mom"

This place has been in business for a while, you can tell. The rooms here are pretty tiny, and you've got to share a bathroom. You even have to walk down the hall to take a shower, which I really didn't like. Plus, it feels more like a nursing home than anything. It may work for some folks, but it's not right for my mom.

"Mixed Feelings about Jennings Terrace Assisted Living"

My loved one is doing okay at Jennings Terrace. The people there are nice. He's involved in a radio broadcast group that visits the community. He likes drama and acting, so it's good for him to enjoy this hobby with others. But the rooms are very small, barely fitting a twin bed and dresser. Overall, he seems content there.

"Headline"

Jennings Terrace was super clean and friendly. They answered our questions, but we wanted more independence.

"Location Issue"

Jennings Terrace has different meal plans for residents. The tour guide was attentive, showing us bedrooms, dining room, and activities center. I liked the room setup and community. Unfortunately, the location didn’t work out for us.

"Caring staff made the last weeks peaceful and comforting"

My husband stayed in the memory care unit at Jennings Terrace for just two weeks before he passed away. It was the best place for him. The staff were friendly and worked well together. Even our doctor was on staff there. They made his last weeks peaceful and comforting. I would recommend this place to family and friends.

"Great Care at Jennings Terrace"

My mom is at Jennings Terrace. I’m really happy with the care she’s receiving. It’s a great fit for her, but it’ll take some time for her to adjust. The staff is working hard to make her feel comfortable both mentally and physically. They even upgraded her room and bathroom. However, there have been issues with early wake-ups for meals, and Sunday meals start late, making it hard for her to attend church. Overall, it’s been a positive experience.
