"Poor Elderly Care at John Evens Assisted Living Facility"
My dad needed help and companionship, so we picked John Evens assisted living in Pekin. It looked perfect for him. But then he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. They said they'd still care for him, even if he had to go on Hospice. He didn't even last a month there though. After changing his medication, he fell five times in less than a day. They didn't even bother to call me. When I saw him, his room was a mess, like a crime scene. His fall had broken a nightlight, and the prongs were still in the socket, covered with duct tape. He obviously couldn't be left alone. The admin and nursing head really disappointed us.

"Good care, safe place, nice meals and activities"
My mom is doing well at John M Evans Supportive Living. The staff takes good care of her and communicates well with our family. I would recommend this place; they have good meals and activities for residents. I feel my mom is in a safe place with good care.

"Good start, minor issues, working well"
They are doing very well so far. There were a few mix-ups with medication at the beginning, probably just getting set up and transferring everything. No major concerns. No complaints about food or activities. So far, it's working out pretty well.
