"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living: Food, Cleanliness, and Staff Issues"
The food is tasty, the place is clean. Still waiting on medication help for mom. Staff is mostly great, but problem solving varies.

"Needs Improvement in Care and Services"
My sister is getting used to the place a little more, but she still wants them to pay more attention to what she needs. This is really important because she gets the highest level of care there and it costs extra. So far, Lombard Place hasn’t really matched what they promised, especially when it comes to helping her with her dialysis.

"Responsive staff, but payment issues and long contract."
The staff and caregivers help my mom well. But why can't I pay online? And that 100-page contract is too much.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The hallways are bright and have seats to rest if needed. They have a family event every month. The place is kept clean. However, recently, the care they promised wasn't up to what they charged for the last two months my dad was there. He's also not happy with the meals they're boring and even when he asks for a full portion of fish, he gets a small tender piece.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Promises and Amenities"
Follow-up is important to ensure what's promised is true. For example, I was told the facility's bus takes residents to and from doctor appointments, but that's not the case. Also, I was told residents could enter at a skill level of 0, which is not true either. The food isn't appealing, and there aren't always all the food groups, like vegetables. Housekeeping and showering don't seem to have set days; it's whenever staff has time. Plus, there's a fee for both carry-out and delivery of meals, with delivery costing twice as much as carry-out.

"Kind Staff, Decent Place!"
My family member lives at Lombard Place Assisted Living and Memory Care, and their experience has been really good. They’re in the Memory Care unit. I checked out other places, but I picked this one because it’s in a nice location and looks good. The staff is kind and caring, although the food could be better. The bacon isn’t fully cooked, and overall, the meals aren’t very appealing or hot. Still, I recommend Lombard Place to others!

"Mixed Feelings About Lombard Place Assisted Living & Memory Care"
I visited Lombard Place Assisted Living & Memory Care and found it nice. I can't recall anything specific that made me decide against choosing this community; it simply didn't feel right.

"Lacking Care and Cleanliness at Lombard Place Assisted Living"
We don't suggest Lombard Place. Many problems occurred. My loved one's purse and dentures vanished, and we weren't told until a week later. I found out only because I visited and asked. The floor was always sticky and never felt clean. There weren't many staff around. Overall, not a good experience. This was in 2021, so things might be different now.

"Facility Lies, Rejects Family Member Over Medication Issue"
My family member was briefly at this assisted living facility, but was sent to the hospital due to a behavior problem. All along, the facility kept telling us that our family member could return after the hospital. The hospital discharged my family member and sent them back to the facility in an ambulance, but the facility wouldn't let them return. I found out about this when they arrived at the facility. The nursing director said it was because of their medication. I offered to stop the medication, but the facility still refused to take them back.

"Assisted Living Improvements Shine Amid Challenges"
At first, it was a bit tough. When my loved one moved in, there was a change in management. But things improved, and now they’re addressing dining issues due to staff shortages. Communication during Covid has been good, and safety protocols are solid. Overall, we’re satisfied.

"Difficulty Reaching Corporate; Mom Denied Refund; Unstable Administration"
It was really tough to get in touch with someone in charge at the main office. They hide all their contact info. My mom stayed there for 5 years, but at the end, they refused to give her back the money she should have gotten. The people in charge were always changing, and they never fixed any of the problems we told them about.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Due to Covid, staff shortages and management changes affected communication for new residents. Promised acclimation support never happened. Some front-line staff were helpful. The building's complex thermostat is the only complaint. Generous portion sizes for older adults in the menu. Overall, a good deal if staffing issues are resolved.
