"Important Reminder for Montclare Supportive Living Families"

Hey there, I want to share some thoughts about Montclare-Lawndale for families with loved ones there. My brother stayed there from . When he first moved in, he didn't have a Power of Attorney on file, and he was doing okay health-wise. We didn't even know he moved there at first, but things seemed fine. But then he got sick and had to go to the hospital and then to a rehab place. While he was away, Montclare got rid of all his stuff without telling him or us. They said it was because he didn't have a Power of Attorney. But I found out that according to Illinois rules, they should've given us a 30-day notice before doing that. They never did. So, if your loved one is at Montclare, make sure they have a Power of Attorney on file. I've tried to fix this, but no luck yet. Thanks.

Montclare Supportive Living Community

The community, which was developed by MR Properties and opened in June 2017, serves older adults of all incomes who need some help to maintain their independence. 
The Montclare is especially designed to serve low-income seniors, including those on Medicaid or who only receive monthly Social Security benefits.
