"Disappointing Food and Staff at Senior Living Facility"
Living at New Perspective Senior Living Silvis isn't great. The meals are bad, and they seriously need a cook who understands how to mix things up and make tasty food. They also need to hire more staff and pay them better because right now, some people who live here have to wait almost an hour for their food while the waitress manages everyone else's orders. What's more, when we go to buy groceries, there shouldn't be any rush. We know how to shop, thank you very much. If you were thinking of moving here, I'd definitely say look somewhere else. This place needs to fix a lot of problems. I wish somebody had told me all this before I moved in, because the brochure made it sound a lot better than it really is. Quite a few other residents feel the same way I do but just don't want to say anything.

"Feels Like A Harsh High School Throwback"
My dad's experience here has been awful. Nothing's going right. This place is like one big, mean-spirited high school where bullying is commonplace. The bills they send are too complex for anyone to understand. Plus, no one's taken the time to help set up the internet. It's as if I relocated him to a really bad teenager's world. I can't, in good conscience, suggest this facility to others.

"Feels Like a Hotel, with Friendly Staff and Great Food"
The experience has been wonderful. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help. The place looks amazing it’s like a hotel and really well-kept. The food is delicious with lots of healthy choices. The staff here are fantastic; they’re very nice and my father loves them. They even have a shuttle for rides to appointments, which is very helpful, and the driver is friendly too. We’ve had a great time with the Lighthouse’s Memory Care. We’re glad my mother can stay here.

"Pleasing Atmosphere But Average Food at Assisted Living"
The food at this assisted living place is acceptable, not great. But I do appreciate the pleasant feel and cool spirit.

"Overall satisfied with assisted living food and cost concerns noted."
We're pretty satisfied with them up to now. The food could be a bit tastier and less pricey. There wasn't one standout reason we picked them. We just liked how everything felt there.

"Mixed Experience at Quad Cities Assisted Living Facility"
This place offers the usual services found in the Quad Cities. The activities coordinator was nice. But we felt it's too pricey for what you get. The staff on the floor were friendly, but the higher-ups weren't as nice. We visited again without warning and spoke with residents. They said the food is often cold or tough, the manager is rude and doesn't listen, some servers are nice while others are just okay, there are no activities at night, and the rent is high compared to what you get.

"High Prices and Not-So-Great Service at Assisted Living Facility"
Even though it offers the basic services like all others in the quad cities, and the activities coordinator was nice! We thought it was pricey for what you receive, average in terms of friendliness, and the regular staffers are nice but not the managers. We made an unexpected visit and had chats with the residents; they shared that the food is often cold or too hard to chew, the manager is impolite and does not pay attention, and while some waitstaff are nice, others are just okay. Also, there are no activities in the evenings and the "rent is too high for what you get".

"Declining Quality: Look Elsewhere for Assisted Living Options"
You might want to check out other places nearby. This one was okay before, but it's been getting worse for like three or four years. The owners are from Minnesota or Wisconsin, so maybe they're not really in the loop.

"Facility Neglects Seniors, Consistently Low Standards"
This place used to be top-notch, like three or four years ago. However, since then, the standard has really dropped. They're using temporary staff instead of regular workers, and they even rehired a nursing director that they had previously fired, only to fire her again. Employees are often caught snoozing on duty, and residents are frequently neglected. My folks stayed there for around four years but we had to pull them out three years ago. After we left, the place went through multiple administrators, nursing directors, and countless caregivers - I've totally lost count. Quite a few of the other residents are still mates with my parents and have told us that the place is just falling apart, with problems like mold creeping into the drywall. The current female administrator hardly puts in any hours. It's heartbreaking because our seniors deserve a proper, stable home they can call their own. Yet, despite people there needing more care than what they can provide, they continue to take five to seven thousand dollars from families each month. Look for someplace else.

"Kicked Out Grandparents in Cold; Shockingly Unprofessional Handling"
Up until now, I had no complaints about this assisted living home's service, but today changed it all. On a chilly Friday morning in February, I got a call saying my grandparents don't meet their care standards anymore. So, we needed to move them out on the very same day. Keep in mind; these are nearly hundred-year-old folks. I can get it if their needs surpass what the home can offer, and we have to shift them somewhere more apt. But the way they handled it was totally unprofessional and really sickening.
