"Comfortable Assisted Living Option with Friendly Atmosphere"
The facility was pleasant. The Assisted Living place felt cozy and not too big. During my visit, I only saw a few staff members and learned that there are usually 2 CNAs for about 45 residents. The rooms in the Assisted Living section were nice, especially the one-bedroom unit. The services and support seemed similar to other places for older adults. The common areas were clean, and the dining choices looked good. The residents seemed happy and friendly. They had lots of information about daily activities, staff, and levels of support to share with me. This place seems like a good option for my family member.

"Great place for my mother-in-law; staff made her comfortable."
My mother-in-law had a good time at this place, so I thought it would be a good spot for my dad to visit too. When she first moved in, she needed a little extra help, but the staff was really nice to her. This was a few years ago, so things might have changed since then, but back then, it was a good experience.

"Big Community, Nice Staff, Not a Good Fit for Mom"
We checked out this place. The staff was nice. The place is big, and I thought my mom might have trouble getting around. It just didn't seem right for her. The menu looked good, and everything was clean. It's a good place for your loved one.

We visited this place. The staff were friendly. It's a big place, and I think my mom would have struggled to get around. It didn't seem right for her. The food options looked good, and everything was clean. It's a decent spot for your loved one.

"Clean and Bright Assisted Living"
I really liked the place. Stephanie was nice and honest about what they offer. Even though they were renovating, the finished rooms were clean and bright.

"Undertrained Staff, Overcharging, Poor Care: Avoid Norwood Crossing"
My mom's at Norwood Crossing for skilled nursing. The workers aren't trained well and often, there aren't enough of them. This means my mom doesn't get the help she needs quickly. Plus, it costs a lot, and they charge for stuff they don't even give you. The place where long-term residents stay needs fixing up, and the food isn't good. It seems like the managers and the workers don't communicate well.

"Expensive, Poor Service at Norwood Crossing Nursing Unit"
My grandma stays in the nursing ward of Norwood Crossing. They have caregivers who aren't well-trained, and on top of that, they're usually understaffed. This results in subpar care and long delays whenever help is required. Plus, they charge way too much and often bill for stuff we didn't even use. The area where the long-term residents live needs major revamping, and the food is pretty bad. It's clear there's a big communication gap between the people running the place and the employees.

"Nice place, overall"
My family member has only been at Norwood Crossing for a short time, but things have been going well so far! The community is clean and well-maintained, and the residents receive good care. The admissions process was smooth, making the transition easy. My main concern is that they could use more staff in the assisted living section. The existing staff is wonderful, but call button response times can be slow.

"Friendly Assisted Living with Updates and Nearby Support"
Big place with lots of updates and helpful services. The older 'sheltered' area is still nice and spacious. They encourage residents to join activities with volunteers. It's super close to Dick. Mom knows this place—it's like a 'Norwegian old folks home.' But it might be hard for her to get to the doctor and activities. They offer assistance, though. Dick is nearby for monitoring and visits. I'll revisit on 5/21, and I submitted my application on 5/23.

"Caring Community with Room to Improve"
I really like Norwood Crossing. The people in the admissions office are really friendly, quick to respond, and very helpful. The whole staff is great. When my mom first got there, they took good care of her, even though they missed something at the beginning. The place is decently clean, but one of the dining areas isn’t as good as the others. Mom receives excellent care there, they take her on outings, but she wishes they would let residents see doctors within the community.

"Split Opinion on Assisted Living Facility: Pleasing Yet Disheartening."
This place has two areas meant for assisted living: sheltered care and just regular assisted living. The sheltered care is more affordable but it's also really old and kind of sad-looking. The rooms are tiny, which makes them seem even gloomier, plus there's a nursing care section nearby – not very uplifting. On the other hand, the assisted living area is brand new and really large, almost like a fancy hotel. However, for those who need extra help, it could be too big and they might feel lost. This place is perfect if you're still active and only need a little bit of help, but probably not the best if you need more support. They do have a new skilled nursing care, but still, it just felt kind of bleak.

"Great place, better than expected!"
I was pleasantly surprised by Norwood Crossing. I was worried it wouldn't be good since the person I'm taking care of will be on public aid. We had some issues to sort out, but Norwood was really helpful. I think it's just as good as Sunrise Assisted Living, maybe even better. The Sunrise place in Buffalo Grove isn't run well.

"Nice place, but not right for our needs"
We visited this place when we were looking for care for a loved one. It looked really nice, and I would have considered it for her. But after they saw her list of medications, they told us she wouldn't be a good fit for the community.

"Great place, learning curve, caring staff; recommend it highly."
This place is pretty cool. They have these screens that help, but they might need to put them in better spots. It took me a bit to get used to how things work here, but I like it more than other places I've checked out. Whenever there's a problem, I know I can talk to them and they fix it right away. You can tell that some of the staff really care about people by how they talk.

"Pricing Was Vague"
It seemed nice, and we had a positive impression. However, we decided against choosing them due to unclear pricing. They offered different levels of assisted living, but it wasn’t clear what care was included in the cost. They mentioned reassessing after a few weeks. Ultimately, we found a place with more transparency.

"Assisted Living Gem"
This place is amazing! It has all sorts of fun things to do, and the staff are really nice and helpful. The food is pretty good, too. My grandma seems really happy here, which is all that matters to me. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that sometimes it can get a little noisy, but overall, it's great!
