"Needs Improvement: Safety and Care Concerns"
Our time at the assisted living place hasn’t been great. Two weeks back, I got stuck inside for 20 minutes. It was hard to find the two workers there, and when I did, they said they were short-staffed. I don’t think they could get everyone out fast if there was a fire. Plus, you’re not supposed to lock people in. They keep the common areas locked down. They’re supposed to clean the rooms every week, but they didn’t at first. Now they do, maybe because they know I come on weekends. The workers are nice, but there’s not enough of them. They seem to take too many breaks. I’m going to talk to them about hanging out and eating where everyone can see. My family member is there because I needed help, and that’s their job. He’s not getting his showers twice a week. He came with skin problems, got a plan for treatment, but they didn’t follow it and wanted to send him to the ER. They might be scared to call me now. His biggest complaint is that his meals are always cold, not warm. There’s not enough staff during meals. I saw them start drinks at 5, but that’s when dinner’s supposed to start. And once, they had food but no drinks ready. They post a list of activities, but half of them don’t happen. The price is okay, and I like that the memory care is close by. But if things don’t get a lot better soon, we’ll have to find another place.

"Great choice for care!"
My loved one lives at Rock Run Place. The staff is super friendly, and the place is really clean. The food is usually good, according to my loved one. I’d recommend it to family and friends. Great choice for care! Feel free to ask if you need any more assistance!

"Compassionate Care and Engaging Activities Shine at Local Assisted Living"
The staff here is fantastic. They're all very nice and caring. They take great care of my mom and stepdad and even bring ice water for their cat when they visit their apartment! The activities director is great and does a fantastic job!

"Underwhelming Assisted Living Facility Experience"
I expected more from this place. It's not as good as I thought. They have this point system for care, which makes the payment go up every month. The staff talks to families well, but the caregivers don't communicate well among themselves.

"Great location and staff, but food quality needs improvement"
I chose this community because it was in the Joliet area and had an excellent tour. The staff was very responsive to my loved one's calls and checked on them often. The transportation to doctor's appointments was great. However, my loved one often complained about the quality of the meals. The location was very convenient, and the staff was friendly.

"Friendly staff and clean facility, would recommend Rock Run Place"
I’d tell others that the staff here are super friendly. They often go out for lunches and events; I even went to a luau. The facility is very clean, and the staff really listen to me. I did overhear one comment from the bus driver that I didn’t like, but I didn’t say anything. I would definitely recommend Rock Run Place.

"Pleasantly Surprised by Rock Run Place Assisted Living"
Upon arrival at Rock Run Place, we immediately noticed its pleasant atmosphere and excellent organization. The receptionist ladies at the front desk are very friendly. Based on our experience so far, we would gladly recommend this community to other families.

The common areas need painting. The units were really small. The staff was very nice.

"Beautiful Assisted Living with Attentive Staff"
We really like the activities and the coordinator. The new manager is attentive and open to suggestions and concerns. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful.
