"Mixed Review: Attentive Staff, Clean Environment, Food Needs Improvement"
Staff here go out of their way to ensure residents are happy. They listen to our family's needs. Housekeeping keeps the place clean for everyone. The food has its ups and downs, which many residents complain about. Overall, we'd recommend this facility. It meets 4 out of 5 of our family's moving priorities. If the food were better, it would be perfect.

"Inconsistent Staff, Mixed Care Quality in Assisted Living Facility"
The staff varies in quality. Some are really good, like the ladies at the front desk and the sales team. However, the care providers they use are terrible. They have bad bedside manners and only do the basics. Also, they sometimes ignore calls from the fall button until it's pressed three times.

"Staff strive to make sure my dad is safe"
When my father first chose this community, it was meant to be temporary. The facility promptly set up a fully furnished apartment for him. Over time, he grew accustomed to the community, and the staff treated him exceptionally well. Eventually, he decided to stay here permanently. All the staff members are kind and approachable. The facility, located in the city, maintains a clean and pleasant appearance. What I appreciate most is the convenience of visiting my father or taking him out for dinner. The community offers various activities, including exercise classes, bingo nights, and card games. They even organize trips for the residents. The staff's top priority is ensuring my dad's safety, making sure he eats, takes his medication, and socializes. I wholeheartedly recommend this community.

"Safe, Clean, and Happy: Great Place for Mom's Care"
My mom's at this place now and everything's fine. No real complaints. She's in memory care and seems happy. They take good care of her, her room's clean, and she's settled. She's safe and her room's nice. I've visited a couple of times, and she seems content. The staff redirects her well when needed, and they communicate with me, which is good. They offer a few activities, physical therapy twice a week, and help with her speech and memory. They gave her a wrist bracelet so she can't wander off, and you have to check in with staff to enter or leave her area. They're good at preventing falls, so even though the rooms have less stuff, they're safe. Overall, everyone there seems happy. The front desk staff is nice, the lady who does her hair is great, and even the administration team dealing with medicine is good. I'd recommend them.

"Visited Assisted Living: Nice, No Garages"
I visited this community, and it seemed nice. The place was clean, and the staff looked friendly and professional. Although I didn't spend much time there, I got some information. Unfortunately, they didn't offer units with garages, so I ruled them out.

I visited this community with my parents to see if it would meet their needs. The tour went smoothly, and I found it to be a pleasant place. Everything looked well-maintained, and the staff was friendly to my family and me. Overall, it was a positive experience, although my parents didn't feel comfortable with the location.

" "Extremely Unkempt Facility; Poor Care Levels""
This place is downright awful. Sure, they've tidied up the first floor to make it look appealing, but don't let that fool you. My grandfather is staying in the memory care unit, and I'll tell you, if it were my decision, he wouldn't be here. The residents are often left unattended. Hardly any stimulating activities are provided. Their cleaning efforts are meager at best and the conditions are dirty. They supposedly clean once a week, which is far from sufficient, especially for those dealing with dementia. My grandfather's bathroom is persistently disgusting - littered with feces and urine, dirty floors - it's unbearable. Considering the steep bills they send us, this place ought to be impeccable daily. It's truly despicable, and it hurts me to know my grandfather is here. The only positive point I can give is that most staff members are pleasant – however, they genuinely do the bare minimum and it shows they lack proper training. They may be nice, but that doesn't make up for the poor conditions. I implore you not to subject your family member to this. With over 20 years in health care, I can honestly say this establishment revolted me.

"Happy We Chose Spring Meadow"
My dad stayed at Spring Meadows/Naperville for 7 months. It was his first time in Assisted Living. Even though he has mild to moderate dementia, he wasn’t happy at first and made sure everyone knew it. But the staff was amazing. They were patient and gave him the kind of love and support you’d expect from family. My wife and I live out of state. Dad doesn’t have many friends or family left. We decided to trust Spring Meadow based on a recommendation from a lady at A Place for Mom (a great resource for anyone needing elderly care info). She answered my prayers and my call when I had no idea what to do for Dad. She suggested a few places, but was most positive about Spring Meadows. I called them first and after a 30-minute conversation, decided to move Dad there without even visiting (just saw pictures on their website, which were accurate). It’s tough having a loved one in assisted living, especially when they’re far away. I felt like I failed him by not having him live with us. I wanted immediate updates whenever I called, but I had to learn that the staff had other residents to care for too. We worked through it, and overall, I was very impressed with the care Dad received. I just moved Dad closer to me, not because of anything Spring Meadow did wrong. His dementia is getting worse, and I needed him closer to me, my son, and my two grandchildren.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Environment, Great Tour Experience!"
Spring Meadows Naperville was really clean. They had different meal options for people living there. The staff we met during the tour were nice. I thought the tour showed us everything well. They talked about the activities and special things they offer.

"Highlight: Ups and Downs in Service Quality!"
The folks working on weekends aren't as helpful as those during the weekdays. There have been a few small problems with cleaning. Things got better briefly, and now they're back to how they used to be. I've talked to other families to learn how to better work with the staff. They've gotten better at getting mom involved in activities. The place is kept clean.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Facility"
The staff I met during my tour were all very attentive. The place was very clean. I got to see the bedrooms and other rooms they had. I really liked that they didn't pressure us at all. The community had different meal plans and activities. It was a big place, but sadly, the layout didn't fit our needs.

"Too early to tell, but seems promising"
It's tough to evaluate a place like this without giving the resident more time to see how they benefit. My rating might improve once the resident gets used to it.

"Great Place for Mom So Far"
Mom has been there for almost a month. She says everyone is super friendly and helpful. Signing up for trips to the store is easy. The on-site doctor (once a week) is really convenient. Her only “complaint” is her seat at dinner.

"Great Value with Caring Staff and Friendly Atmosphere"
We chose Spring Meadows because it seemed like the best deal for caring for my loved one. On his first day there, the Director of Nursing gave us really helpful feedback about some medication side effects that might be causing his health issues. We hope adjusting the medication will improve his health. We’re very grateful for the Director’s insight. The staff is patient, caring, and encourages family involvement. The other residents are friendly and welcoming too. The facility is clean, bright, and lively with lots of activities that residents enjoy. Overall, it feels like home! We appreciate the care Spring Meadows is giving our loved one.

"New Management Has Potential After Initial Assisted Living Disappointments."
When we first arrived at the assisted living facility, they didn't really explain everything to us. The guy who fixes things was the most helpful out of everyone. The place wasn't even fully ready by the time we were supposed to move in - they hadn't finished fixing things or cleaning the carpets, so we had to wait another day. It was pretty hard to talk to anyone who actually had the power to do anything. The people at the front desk were always there to answer questions, but they couldn't really do anything more than just contact someone else for us. I couldn't get in touch with any of the higher-ups or figure out who I needed to complain to about all of this. It also took a while for them to get a care plan for us, and they even forgot to give out medicine a few times. We've been here about four months and it's gotten a little better, but only because I've kept up my complaints. There's been a lot of changes in the people in charge, too, which they didn't really tell anyone about - we only found out because of notes left on the front desk. I'm holding out hope that the new head nurse and home care person can make things better and let us know more about what's going on.

"Decent Facility, Needs More Staff and Healthier Meals"
My mom and dad have been living here for a year and a half. All the workers are kind and always willing to help, but they definitely need more people working here to help the residents. I really don't like that they have two different eating areas, though. It seems like they don't think the folks needing extra help are good enough to use the main meal room. Plus, they need to serve more fresh fruits and veggies because a lot of the people living here have sugar issues.

"Pleasing Cleanliness, Friendly Staff but Hidden Fees Abound"
We visited this place a while back. The cleanliness was commendable and the daytime staff were super nice. They were too cautious about letting my family member out of their room, mainly for fear of causing a fuss. The charges racked up, so always review their handbook to avoid hidden costs. They only allot you one day to empty out the room after a resident passes away.

"A Top Contender with a Bright Atmosphere and Good Activities"
We really liked this place and it was one of our top two choices. When we visited, we noticed that the atmosphere was brighter and more cheerful compared to the others. We felt the activities were just right and the freedom offered was great. There was some family debate about whether it provided the right level of care we needed, so we didn't choose it in the end. However, it was very high on our list and definitely worth considering.

"Good until you need assistance, mostly elderly women present"
This place is meant for people who can live on their own with no health issues. Once you start needing help, they're not really accommodating. The place is nice when everything's okay. Most people living here are a bit old and there are a lot of women compared to men.

"Proximity matters, but lacks remarkable features."
It's okay, it's almost across the street from my home, and I've heard good and bad things about it, but it's nothing special. When we visited, we were actually looking at independent living options, but my mom's dementia was progressing so quickly. Honestly, because it was so close and my mom would call me for even the smallest things, I wasn't keen on choosing it.

"Good Home Behind McDonald's, With High Rent Because of Location"
This place is good, with large apartments, cool dining room and all. But, it's smack dab on a busy street, right behind a McDonald's. The person in charge was super nice, knew a lot, and focused on me. The home would look after my mom, even as her needs changed. I get that the location maybe why the rent is costly.
