"A Mixed Experience at the Assisted Living Facility"
The move-in went smoothly, and the staff is friendly. However, some changes in activities and housekeeping have been disappointing. Despite that, I still recommend it for safety and companionship.

"Caring Community Supports Mom Perfectly"
Since my mom moved into Sunrise in 2020, she's really thrived. The staff are always there for her, making sure she gets everything she needs. The assisted living services have been exactly what she required.

"Mixed Experience: Comfortable Setting, Food Needs Improvement"
Her apartment is nice, and she's settled in comfortably. Mom's only issue is with the food—it needs more variety and healthier choices.

"Balconies and in-unit washer-dryer praised, dining area needs improvement."
This place offers good independent and assisted living choices. Mom and I really liked the private balconies and having our own washer and dryer in the apartment. The bathroom is big, and the hallways are bright and easy to walk through. But, the dining and hangout spots need some fixing up. Also, we noticed there's some dust around and the cleaning could be better. Still, overall, the place is clean and taken care of. They have plenty of activities to choose from, and it's close to lots of stores, theaters, and places to eat.

"Great care, clean environment, and welcoming staff."
My mom is adjusting well at Sunrise at Fountain Square. It’s a clean and well-maintained place. They welcome our family warmly when we visit. The staff is friendly and attentive to her needs. Mom enjoys her room on the fourth floor where she can see all the activity. She loves it, and we decorated it to make it feel like home. There are many activities for the residents, but Mom hasn’t tried all of them yet as she’s still getting used to the place. I’ve eaten with her there, and the meals have a lot of variety. This place takes great care of Mom and is affordable. I highly recommend it.

"Great Tour, Not the Right Fit"
I have no complaints about the tour I took of this community for my loved one. The staff were on time for our tour and answered all our questions in detail. I liked the layout of the building and thought they had a lot of nice amenities for the residents. Overall, everything was fine, but it just wasn't the right place for my dad in the end.

"Adequate Care for Mom, Not Pleased with Industry"
I think every place like this is out to make money, and they don't work extra hard. My mom is okay there. I believe she's getting suitable care. But, I'm not really satisfied dealing with this business.

"Friendly Staff, Disappointing Small and Similar Studios"
The staff at this assisted living facility was really nice when we visited. They took time to tell us everything we needed to know about their community. However, I didn't like how the place was laid out, especially the apartments. I was hoping to find a good-sized studio, but the ones they showed us were too small and all looked the same.

"Friendly Staff, Well-Maintained Community, Happy Residents!"
I went to Sunrise at Fountain Square and the workers were really nice and knew a lot. They helped with everything I asked. The place looked great inside and out. Everybody living there seemed happy.

"Gorgeous and Pricey!"
Sunrise at Fountain Square looks beautiful! It's a smaller, lively community where residents actively participate in various activities. However, it's also the most expensive place we visited, and the location isn't convenient for family visits.

"Great place with friendly people, good maintenance"
I like it a lot. The maintenance is good, and everyone is friendly. It's a great place. I was at a Sunrise before, and it was nice, but the people here are different. They were nice at Sunrise too, just different here. I like it.

"Lovely Community, Too Pricey, Small for Mom"
It was a really nice place. But I think it's too small for my mom since she's used to living in her own house. Moving from her house to just one room might be tough for her. Also, it was too expensive.

"Great place, but water issues"
My parents love it there, but they have issues with the hot water. The water temperature needs to be higher. They run the water for over 5 minutes before it gets hot, and then it gets cold again after 5 minutes. Think of all the water being wasted. This really needs to be fixed. Thank you.

"Nice Place, Happy People, Limited Space"
That was a good one. The decor was nice, and the people seemed happy and active. The cost was pretty reasonable. There wasn't a lot of space to walk around, though. It felt a bit smaller than we wanted.

"Mixed Feelings but Overall Good Assisted Living Facility"
This place is super clean and the staff is really nice. I can't say much about the costs yet, but they seem okay compared to other places. My mom seems happy here, and she's always well taken care of. There are lots of activities, even though she doesn't always join in. The floor she's on is perfect for her needs. I'm a nurse, so I'd like more medical involvement. It's convenient that the doctor comes to her, but I miss being more involved in her care updates. Overall, it's a great place for her.

"Independent and assisted living in one place"
The location of this place is great for our family. They have both independent and assisted living in the same area. There is no buy-in fee; you just pay monthly. We pay about $2,500 a month for a one-bedroom apartment. The apartments are big with lots of closet space. They have a flat rate, but you can pay extra for more services. Sunrise is working out really well, and we would recommend it.

"Nice, Modern Rooms with Great Amenities for Independent Seniors"
We met a staff member who gave us information and tours of the one-bedroom and studio apartments. I liked these rooms the most--they were newer, had nice kitchens and decor, and included a stackable washer/dryer and a dishwasher! While we liked this place, we think it might be a better fit if we had done this earlier. This one works best for truly independent seniors.

"For Assisted Living: Affordable Fees and Comprehensive Care"
For assisted living, there's a one-time entrance fee of $3,000. The monthly rent is $3,500 for a studio plus care fees, and $4,300 for a one-bedroom plus care fees. Care fees are assessed every month. They have an extensive assisted care program that covers nursing home care without needing to move to a nursing home facility. The location is just east of Yorktown Shopping Center.

"Mixed Reviews for New Sunrise Assisted Living Facility"
New Assisted Living Facility Has Pros and Cons". It's actually the prototype for the Sunrise company. I took a tour of the independent living sections and also did the same for the assisted living areas. I made a point to return in the afternoon for a follow-up. I took some time to talk to the current residents and look at the apartments. If you make a deposit, you can hold your preferred apartment (like the 4th-floor ones that front the building) for several months. On the positive side, it's conveniently located near us and close to CDH. On the downside, the sales director seems to have too much control. The residents didn't seem too happy with the food options, and several people mentioned a lot of rules determining community life. Also, there was mention of the staff's emergency response in the independent living areas.

"Met with Director. Pleasant and Caring Assisted Living."
I met with the Director, who was very pleasant and patient. I liked the Fountain Square, but the low population made it hard to feel the 'life and heart' of the place. Still, I could see my mom in either location. I'm thankful such places exist for my hardworking parents.
