"Friendly Staff but Occasional Dining Room Staff Shortages at Sunrise"
The team at Sunrise of Buffalo Grove is super nice and welcoming. Sometimes, though, they don't have enough people working in the dining area.

"Sunrise of Buffalo Grove: A Positive Experience!"
My family member used to live at Sunrise of Buffalo Grove, and her experience there was really positive. The place was clean, and the food was great. The staff were friendly, and the care services provided good value for the cost. Sometimes, communicating with the caregivers, who spoke English as a second language, was a bit challenging. Overall, I'd recommend Sunrise of Buffalo Grove to others!

"Cozy Feel with Responsive Staff"
This place is great if you prefer a cozy atmosphere over a larger community vibe for your loved one. Recently, they've had some changes in care staff. However, the staff is excellent at keeping us informed and they're always ready to help with any questions or concerns we have.

"Not Quite Bright Enough"
Our family took an in-person tour, which was really positive. The tour guide was excellent. The rooms were a bit tight and smaller, and the community felt a little older. It had a cozy vibe but lacked brightness.

"A Caring Assisted Living Facility with Pricey Meals"
It feels like home, but transportation falls short. The caregivers are amazing—caring, attentive, and work well as a team. Sometimes they're rushed, and call response time varies. A 24-hour nurse would be beneficial. Overall, a nice place, albeit a bit pricey.

"Cozy place, slow care, okay overall."
Sunrise feels cozy and homey. They let my loved one have meals in the suite, which was a big reason we chose them. However, we've had issues with her not getting the care she needs, and sometimes the staff is slow to respond. She doesn't like the food much either. Overall, it's been okay for the price, and it's better than some other places we looked at.

"Cozy, smaller facility with a welcoming atmosphere."
We chose Sunrise of Buffalo Grove because of the welcoming feeling we got when we first walked in. We really liked the atmosphere, and it was smaller than most places we looked at, which my mother-in-law preferred. If you want a smaller, cozier place, this is it. I would recommend them to others.

"Not So Cozy"
This place felt really industrial inside, and it just wasn't very pleasant. The staff were super nice, but overall, it lacked cleanliness.

"Excellent Assisted Living Community!"
My mom just moved here, and things are going well. The staff is nice and takes care of her needs. They helped a lot with the move, and Mom is adjusting. She likes the food and is enjoying activities. It's a great place, and I'd recommend it.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living with Mixed Care Options"
I visited this place, and it was alright. Everything seemed clean and tidy. It was a bit confusing because they combine nursing and Alzheimer's care. The people working there were nice and helpful. They told us a lot of useful stuff. Overall, it was an okay visit.

" "Great Staff, Insufficient Numbers and Mediocre Programs""
Our journey with Sunrise of Buffalo Grove is a mixed bag. The staff here is excellent, really friendly, and they work hard. They take good care of the residents and their services are satisfactory. The problem however, is that there just aren't enough staff to go around. When it comes to meal times, you usually wait for half an hour for your main meal after ordering. From sitting down, to having your soup or salad, main meal, dessert, and then leaving, it generally takes an hour to an hour and a quarter. The living facilities also could use significantly better upkeep. Basically, they are trying to do too much with too few resources. Lastly, the activity program is lacking. Many residents complain that they are bored and the programs are just not engaging.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
The way they handle sending Alzheimer's patients to the hospital could use a lot of work. However, the care they provide is good, the staff is nice, and the food is really tasty. The place is kept clean, they just need to look at their family communication practices.

"Cozy Sunrise: Flexibility and a Homey Feel but Beware of Dogs"
Sunrise is a cozy place, smaller than others I've seen. The employees were friendly. I had been there before and I liked that if someone starts needing more care because they get something like dementia, they won't have to leave. This makes it a lot easier for the residents because they don't have to go through a big move or change. The floor I checked out for those people was nice and made me feel safe. They were clearly ready to meet those residents' needs. I didn't really ask about what activities the residents can do there, so I don't have much to say about it. I didn't like that there were dog or dogs there. My mom didn't like dogs, so she wouldn't have liked that. But it really just depends on what people like.

"Friendly and Home-Like Community"
I really liked this place. The staff was super friendly. It's more expensive than other places, but they give better care. The rooms cost less because they are semi-private, with the bathroom and kitchen separating them. It feels more home-like and cozy than other places we looked at.

"Overpriced Housing, Tiny Rooms: Not Suitable"
We were searching for self-sufficient living. This place wasn't suitable for us. The rent was far too high for such tiny rooms. We decided on The Park in Vernon Hills instead.
