"Varied Meals Needed for Residents Good Care and Schedule Management"
My Mom's meals could use more variety even though they were puréed. She was kept clean and they watched her bottom for redness carefully. Meals were mostly on time. Can't say about activities since Mom couldn't join. She stayed for just a month.

"Mom's Happy Here, But Costs May Force Move"
My mom really likes living here. It's a cozy place, just the right size for her. Everything has been going well for her. However, the cost of staying here keeps going up, and she needs more care now. So, we have to start looking for a new place for her to live. The people here have been helping us find a new place. I think this is a good place for other families who need help like this.

They did not evaluate my husband like they had said they would. I took a tour, but I found that they decided that they would not take my husband, so they tried to send me to their Barrington location. I was told that they would email and call us about the prices, but I was not given any such call or email. I have not yet received anything.

The place was nice! I had lunch there, and it was really good. Then they showed me around. But, I was worried about not finding a parking spot easily.

I went on a tour of this place for my loved one and I don't have any really big complaints. The people who work there were nice and they made sure to answer all our questions really well. But out of all the places I checked out, this one just wasn't the best fit for my dad.

"Decent Tour of the Facility, Not Close to Home"
When we visited, we had a decent experience with the community. The employees were punctual for our meeting and explained everything we needed to know. However, it wasn't as close to home as we hoped. It seemed well-kept, and the staff were busy with the residents from what we noticed.

"Beautiful community with attentive staff and amenities!"
We visited Sunrise of Crystal Lake, a charming place. The community is well-maintained and modern. The units are nice, though smaller than others we’ve seen. Unfortunately, the layout of the unit we viewed didn’t feel like home for our loved one. However, the staff who gave the tour were wonderful. They explained all the amenities and services Sunrise offers, addressing our concerns with friendliness.

"Great Care in a Beautiful Facility with Minor Issues"
This is a lovely place. They are taking good care of my mom and her needs. The community is mostly well-kept, but we had an issue with a strong urine smell in her room, which took a month and a half to fix. The staff is amazing and feels like family. The grounds are beautiful. I know she is getting excellent care, and I would recommend this facility.

The facility was really nice, with a cozy atmosphere. It's just a bit farther across town than we'd prefer. Cindy was wonderful to work with, but pricing is a bit confusing compared to other places

Sunrise provides excellent care, especially for residents with more advanced needs. However, if you're seeking independent living, it might not be the best fit.

"No tour after a staff call but she was nice"
A staff called me up saying we had a tour scheduled with their facility, but turns out we didn't. She was really polite though, and promised to touch base with us later this week. I can't really provide a proper rating yet since we didn't actually get to take a tour.

"Sunrise Offers Great Care but Small Rooms Disappoint"
I really liked Sunrise, but the rooms were tiny. My mom needs more space to move around comfortably. Compared to the place she picked, Sunrise had better care. There were more staff members there all the time, which made them more accessible. Besides the small rooms, Sunrise was top-notch. The rooms felt cramped with just a bed and a dresser. Even though I preferred Sunrise, my mom chose another place.

I enjoyed the overall atmosphere and the focus on mental health. He prefers a dual room and isn't comfortable sharing a bathroom. The activities were enjoyable. This facility is worth considering.
