"Mixed Staff Quality and Punctuality Issues with Activities"
Some staff are great, others are okay. Inconsistent service holds back a perfect score. Activities often start late and run over scheduled times, affecting the next event.

"Assisted Living Excellence: Sunrise Staff and Services Shine Bright"
Sunrise's strength lies in its welcoming staff who quickly befriended my father after his move. From the executive director to the cleaning team, everyone knows us by name, creating a comforting atmosphere. I chose Sunrise for its convenient location, diverse activities, excellent services, and outstanding staff.

"Friendly Community with Quick Issue Resolution"
The whole community is really friendly and caring. The staff and management make it that way. I also like the Smile app, which gives me updates and photos of my mom’s activities. The staff encourages residents to join different activities, which is awesome. On the downside, we had some initial issues with caregiver response time when Mom called. But after our care plan meeting, they fixed it quickly, and we haven’t had problems since.

"Friendly but cautious for independent residents"
Very friendly and welcoming. They can be a bit too careful about safety and what residents can do on their own, but it's understandable. Just a heads up for families with very independent potential residents.

"Cramped and Costly, Not Ideal for Mom"
The rooms at Sunrise Lincoln Park felt pretty tight. I doubt my mom’s bed and dresser would have fit. She’d have to share the room, and the other person had already filled it up, leaving little room for mom’s touch. The folks living there seemed to need more help than my mom does, so I’m not sure she’d find many friends. It’s a smaller place with a city vibe. Even though they lowered their prices, it still felt too pricey, and I just wasn’t okay with the thought of mom staying there.

"Sunrise cares more about money than residents, even during pandemic"
My family had a really bad experience with my mom at this place. The regular workers are mostly nice but the bosses are really bad. They don't answer our questions or help out, and it feels like all they care about is money and not about the people living there. I think this problem starts from the very top of Sunrise. The head boss couldn't even remember my mom's name, and she has been there almost a year. We talked to some workers that told us they didn't have the safety gear they needed because of the virus that's going around. They even fired one worker for saying something about it. He was one of the activity leaders and my mom really liked him. This place should be ashamed.

"Night staff could improve responsiveness; overall recommended facility."
My sister stayed here briefly. They tried their best to help her, but she wasn't doing well. I feel the nighttime workers could have been quicker when she needed them. Once, she fell and they didn't come right away. But management took it seriously when they found out. Overall, I'd suggest this place.

"Wonderful Care and Support for Mom"
The community is great for my mom. The staff are super nice and friendly. When she first moved in, she really liked it. Now they’re working with Hospice to keep her comfortable. Everything has been excellent, and they’ve been amazing with my mom.

"Caring and Resident-Focused Assisted Living Facility"
They asked about my sister: what she enjoys, what makes her smile, her friends, and such. I thought it was great how they really focus on the residents. They mentioned that this caring attitude comes from the top management down to everyone. Having staff who've been there a long time really makes a difference. I spoke with a staff, and they were wonderful.

"Good Tour of This Facility"
We visited this place for my mother-in-law, and it went smoothly. Everyone was friendly, and the community looked clean and nice. Overall, it was a positive experience, although we found another community that suited our needs better.

"Decent Tour, Not Ideal For Mom's Needs"
After visiting, I realized it wasn't the right fit for my mom. This facility mainly specializes in memory care, and while my mom does need help, she doesn't need that specific kind of assistance. It's mostly catered towards people with Alzheimer's or more severe mental health needs. This place is designed to be locked down to stop residents from aimlessly walking about.

"Don't Be Fooled: Check the Details!"
Looks can be deceiving. The fancy pamphlets and extra-friendly staff during tour days don't show the real deal. This is a pricey care facility tailored for folks who don't question and follow rules. Be sure to read the details!

"It's been fine so far."
So far, it's been fine. We haven't had any complaints about maintenance, food, or anything else. I'd give them a 4.5 because nobody is perfect, but they are doing pretty good.

"Mixed feelings on staff, but best in local area."
The in-house staff is pretty good, but I'm not too sure about the outsourced folks. Maybe not the perfect fit for my mom. Still, it's the top spot around here.

"Nice place, but too restrictive for mom's needs"
This place is quite good but it's too much for my mom right now. She needs to have more freedom than what's offered here.

"Better than average."
I'm responsible for the resident at Sunrise of Lincoln Park, even though I live in Florida. I've hired someone to check on the resident 2-3 times a week, and they report that the care is excellent. The staff also keeps me informed about my friend's condition. The facility feels cozy, and the caregivers are really good. However, there has been a recent staff change, so I'm unsure if the quality of care will remain the same.

"Nice place, with minor issues"
I think Sunrise of Lincoln Park is doing a great job. It’s a clean and nice-looking place, and the apartments are a good size for the price. The staff are friendly, and the community feels welcoming. My loved ones are having a bit of trouble adjusting, but I believe they’ll like it once they settle in. The only issue we’ve had is some confusion with setting up medication services. I think the community could have been clearer about the details.

"Room for Improvement: Mixed Feelings About Sunrise Assisted Living"
Sunrise is pretty clean, especially public areas, but staff focus more on those. Initially worried about mom's care, but now she's groomed well. Mom's dementia is advanced; she's mostly asleep, activities unseen. Yet, many activities offered, especially outings in good weather. Holidays celebrated well, families encouraged to join. Director tries hard, nursing staff attentive, but caregivers less so. Mom's toiletries often disappear, laundry service sloppy. Common areas need more attention, furniture worn out. Despite flaws, mom likes the home-like setting, enjoys meals and activities.

"Staff Behavior Raised Concerns in Reasonably-Priced Facility"
The place was fairly priced, but the rooms seemed a bit small. I also feel like the staff could use some more training, especially on being more aware of their actions when potential residents or families are visiting. The hallways weren't neat and I think it's the layout, or the initial impression you get when entering the building that's wasn't really appealing to me. Moreover, my main concern was actually about the staff's behavior. Not that they weren't nice, because they were. However, witnessing them complain or seeing them roll their eyes really concerned me.

"Decent Looks, Less-Than-Great Care, High Cost"
This place looked really good... it reminds me of when you were a kid and your mom told you "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"... The director there was great though, he seemed to really care and he was actually the director. But the people who saw my mom every day? Not so much. The nurses let me down. The place is all up-to-date but they have different folks in jeans on each day and my mom didn't recognize who was giving her medicine and she was there for 2 years. In a place where everyone's already mixed up, this just made things worse. The treatment there really shocked me and it was super pricey. I guess whether it's a good fit or not depends on how well someone needs to be taken care of and if you got money to burn; but it shouldn't need to be that way.

"Tour guide and staff interactions were uninspiring."
I wasn't really wowed by the girl who gave me the tour. After watching how the workers interacted with the residents, I'm not convinced it's the right place.

"Comfortable and Caring Environment"
The staff is really caring and knows all the residents by name. They keep an eye on everyone throughout the night. There's a dog here that many people find comforting. The hallways are great for hanging out if you don't want to stay in your room. It doesn't feel like a hospital or nursing home, which is a big plus.

"Great Staff, But Some Downsides"
We went to this place, and it was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I thought they could take care of my family's needs. However, the rooms were too small for two people, and the location, cost, and lack of Medicaid acceptance were issues.
