"Feels like home with supportive staff; highly recommend"
I would suggest this community. It's set up so you feel included in the community. They have a good layout and helpful staff.

"Sunrise of Naperville: Too Crowded and Outdated"
We checked out Sunrise of Naperville, and it felt really crowded and old-fashioned.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living!"
Our loved ones are really happy at Sunrise of Naperville. Although they don’t join the activities, there’s plenty for them to do. The care they receive is great, and we’d recommend it to other families.

"Warm Welcome and Safe Care: Sunrise Naperville Review"
We moved my dad to Sunrise Naperville about 3 months ago. At first, it was hard for our family to decide to bring Dad here, but the staff, and the team, made us all feel welcome right away. One big reason we like Sunrise is that it feels like a family. They've kept that feeling since the first day we arrived. Our dad has really improved since moving here, but the most important thing is that he's safe and getting good care in a well-organized place. We would definitely tell others to consider Sunrise!

"Pushy Salesperson and Gloomy Atmosphere"
I visited this place to find a home for my mom, but the salesperson really put me off. I was worried about my mom's bad memory, and the sales lady kept saying she needed to be evaluated at a place 400 miles away. The way she explained it just didn't feel right. The facility was clean and neat, but all the people looked unhappy, almost like they were in a trance, just sitting in their wheelchairs near the front door. It was really depressing.

"Sunrise Tour Guide Excellent, Room Setup Not Ideal for Parents"
We went with to check out both of Sunrise's places in Naperville, and she was awesome! We liked both spots, but the rooms didn't match what my folks want. They're keen on having a living room, but none of the floor plans had that.

"Nice community, but not for me."
I visited this place and it seemed good. The folks there were friendly and knew a lot. Everything looked clean and nice. But it didn't feel like the right fit for me.

"More Dining Space Needed!"
I visited this place, and what I liked was how they cared for each person. They made sure to answer all my questions. One thing I'd improve is the arrangement. Right when you walk in, folks needing help with eating are there. It might be better if they had a separate spot for them to eat. It makes those who can manage on their own a bit uncomfortable.

"Pretty good"
My father-in-law is okay at Sunrise of Naperville. Sometimes there are challenges, but that's normal. Overall, things are going pretty well.

"Feels homey, clean, and caring"
The Sunrise of Naperville is one of the best places I'd choose for my mom out of the other two I visited. Their memory care is smaller, which suits my mom well, and I really like that. They offer different levels of care, which is good. The staff has more direct contact with their patients and are very nice. The place is much cleaner and feels more homey, not like an institution.

"Kind folks, but bad smell ended up a no-go."
I checked this place out when I was searching. We didn't pick it because it had an odd smell. The folks there were friendly, but that smell made it a no-go.

"Good staff, but some room for improvement."
My mother-in-law enjoyed the place, but there were some quirks. They require a minimum of thirty days for respite stays, which was a bit inconvenient. The staff were friendly and outgoing, although they oversold a few things. Compared to another Sunrise location, the rooms were smaller, and we had to share one. It took five days for them to provide a TV in the room, even though we had requested it earlier. Despite this, they were responsive to her needs and she appreciated the attentive staff. There were plenty of activities available, and it was nice that they allowed residents to have dogs. However, when we faced allergy issues, their solution was for her to stay in her room, which was a bit unexpected.

"Friendly and cozy with consistent staff and a resident dog."
The place was a bit older and cozier than the one we picked. Everyone was really nice. They had a dog living there. I really enjoyed it. It looked like they had more workers, and they were always the same ones.

"Need Better Activities and Follow-Up"
I think they could do more with activities, and there seem to be some problems with transportation. They have a bus, but I'm not sure if there's a driver on weekends. My mom is Catholic, and the only social thing she did before was go to Mass. There's a church half a mile away, but they don't provide transportation to get there. Someone comes in just for Communion, and they have people for other denominations, but when I asked about Mass, they were vague. I do think she's in a safer place because there are people around, but my mom goes for walks in the park next door, and I'm not sure if they're watching her. They make sure she gets to meals, but for other activities, she might not be interested. Also, no one from the staff has really checked in with us to see how she's doing.

"Very Nice Assisted Living Facility with Open Atmosphere"
The facility is very nice with an open atmosphere. It's quiet, not very active, and the rooms are small. The 'kitchen' is tiny, but the outside space looks good, with plenty of walking paths close to neighborhoods. Her reaction was positive, and she liked the option to try it out for a month.

"Not a fan of stairs or fees"
The place was friendly and nice, very clean. However, I didn't like the stairs on the 2nd floor or the fee.
