"A Caring Home That Extended Life"
Our mom moved into Memory Care at Sunrise in Park Ridge during the pandemic. We were worried, but she got great care. The place feels like home, and the staff is caring. Hospice thought she’d only live a few months, but she thrived for nearly 3 years thanks to their excellent care. I’d recommend it.

"Pet-Friendly, Affordable Assisted Living"
I'd suggest this place to other families. We chose it because of the convenient location, pet-friendly policy, and reasonable price.

"Sunrise: Nice, but Pay-Only!"
Sunrise is a really nice place, but they only accept private payments, and there's no support once the money runs out.

"Great place, needs more activities"
It's great, but we wanted somewhere closer. My family wanted more activities for my loved one than they offered.

"Comfortable, home-like atmosphere with caring staff; activities offered"
You feel like you're at home here. It's not super fancy like some other places, but it's really cozy. The staff is nice. My loved one doesn't join in the activities, but they have a lot of options, which is great.

"Friendly Staff and Great Environment for Loved Ones"
It has been a good experience for us. Everyone I have met has been friendly. Sometimes, I feel ignored and don't always get replies to my emails or calls. Everything has worked out well. [Name removed] has helped my loved one get to the gym, and the staff have helped them get stronger. The environment my loved one is in is a big plus for us.

"Great Location and Price, Wife Loves the Food"
My wife and I have had a really good experience here. She enjoys living in this place. The food is her favorite part. We chose this community mainly because it's in a great location and had the best price for us.

"Kind Staff and Good Care, Yet Facility Feels Outdated"
The staff are quite friendly, and the folks living there appear well-cared for. However, the place feels outdated and could really use a refresh, including new furnishings. I also noticed the lighting was insufficient and could be improved.

"Lovely Community, A Bit Pricey for Our Budget"
I really liked this place when I visited. It looked so pretty and tidy. They really keep it clean. The people who work there were nice to me. We were thinking about money when we decided where to go. This place costs a bit more than we wanted, but it’s really nice.

"Mixed Feelings towards Assisted Living Facility"
Our time spent in the facility had its ups and downs. It looks okay, but they need to up their cleaning game. The caregivers were great, but I had problems with the management staff. My loved one stayed for a short time and I knew she was generally safe and taken care of. I would suggest this facility to others.

"A Cozy Dollhouse for My Parents"
I just want to say thank you to the owner and the staff for taking good care of my parents while my cousin and I were on vacation in the Philippines. You all gave us peace of mind, not having to worry about my dad wandering into the street, whether they had eaten, taken their meds, showered, and enjoyed themselves. The cost is pretty expensive, but it’s probably the same as hiring a caregiver, and the quality of care here is better. My only complaint is that my mom lost a lot of weight while she was there. She complained about getting a loaf of bread with sweet syrup every breakfast. She asked for plain bread but kept getting the same sweet syrup bread, which made her unhappy. Also, since my mom stayed there, her balance and walking got worse. Now her doctor has ordered home physical therapy to help her balance and walking. But otherwise, we really love this place. It’s very clean, homey, relaxing, and there's something about the Reminiscence floor that made me teary-eyed and touched my heart. This place reminds me of a dollhouse. I'm glad my parents could experience a different environment and socialize with other people. Thank you to the care team, for making my parents feel like they were on vacation too. Keep up the great teamwork!

"Friendly Staff and Helpful Service!"
I have no complaints about the staff at Sunrise of Park Ridge. They are friendly and seem to care about the residents. I haven't tried the food yet, but my mom thinks it's too bland. They have activities for the residents, but I'm not sure if my mom has joined any. I also want to thank A Place for Mom for their help.

"Disappointment in Neglected Care At Sunrise Park Ridge"
The team at Sunrise of Park Ridge was nice to my mom. But, she got a bladder infection while staying for two weeks. We knew about this and gave the staff specific instructions about her care, but they ignored it. They told us that mom was being difficult, but I warned them about this and stressed that they need to handle it. Because of this issue, mom's health went downhill, landing her in the hospital in no time. I had to get tough with them before they finally did what they were supposed to. We were really let down by this experience.

"Assisted Living Facility Offers Variety, Cleanliness, and Proximity to Hospital"
It's a great place for both assisted living and memory care. They've been very good at communicating, and it's clean and nice. The food is liked, and being near the hospital is convenient. They also have activities, and he enjoys socializing there.

"Fantastic Service and Care, Great Food, Minor Issues with Medicaid"
It's been fantastic. Shelby helped me quickly during an emergency, even though we had very little time. The staff is well-trained and the place is very clean. The food is amazing, like dining at a restaurant, and she really enjoys it. The nursing care could be a bit better; they mostly handle medications and don't help with things like bathing or cutting nails. Still, I would recommend them to anyone. She has been participating in activities, even though she’s not very social. I don’t worry at all. Just keep in mind they don’t accept Medicaid, which might be a problem later on.

"Hard to Get Updates or Reach Anyone at Assisted Living"
I set up my mom's care from far away. But after she moved in, I haven't been able to get any updates about her. When I signed her up, they promised me regular reports, but it's not happening. Trying to reach my point of contact there has also been a struggle because my mom doesn't have a phone in her room. When I call, they always say she is in her room and no one can bring a phone to her. My messages left for my contact person never get returned. So, I can't give a good review because I can't talk to anyone or my mom to get any information or help.

"Impressive Assisted Living Facility Visit"
I visited the assisted living facility and was really impressed. It looked beautiful, clean, and the staff was friendly. They put in a lot of effort to engage people, hosting movie nights and other activities. The only downside is that my mom isn't thrilled about still having to pay for some of her own things. Overall, though, it's a very nice community.

"Always helpful and attentive staff, a great place to be."
They really try hard to make Mom happy and accommodate our family. When we ask for things or have questions, they’re super quick to respond. They listen well and make sure we’re satisfied.

"Pending Final Experience, Staff and Facility Received High Praise"
I toured four places and loved this one, so I chose it. I met four staff members, and each one was caring, friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Unfortunately, my uncle was hospitalized before we could move him in. We moved his belongings in with great help from everyone there. I want to finish this review once he is living there, so please check back in about 6-8 weeks. The low stars below are just because I don't know the answers to those questions yet, not a low rating.

"Big Improvement"
My experience at Sunrise has been good. The staff was helpful and attentive. When my mom moved in, they promptly addressed her wound. Although they’re currently on vacation, I’m still pleased. Compared to the previous community (The Grove in Evanston, DO NOT GO THERE), this place is great. .

"Kind, Cozy Assisted Living"
warm place. Everyone was kind to the residents. The facility is nicely decorated, but not too fancy. They focus on the residents' needs, not just the decor. The director spent time giving me all the info about the place and introduced me to many people.
