"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living, Recommended for Friendliness and Cleanliness"
Everyone here is really friendly. The cleaning service is great! Moving in was easy. The food is good, but we don't like the meal points system. You lose what you don't use. Overall, I recommend this place!

"Positive staff, solid care, transitioning kitchen; recommended to others."
The staff is great, from reception to dining; housekeeping is good. Communication with family is solid, but not much needed. Parents see a weekly psychologist. Kitchen is transitioning; quality good but staffing delays. Already recommended to others.

"Assisted Living Facility Offers Convenient Transportation; Recommended by Family"
We appreciate The Carrington providing transportation to doctor appointments, very helpful. It's our Father-in-law's choice, but we'd recommend it to other families.

"Neglected Seniors Suffer at Understaffed, Oversold Facility"
Don't believe the sales talk they give you. They may smile and seem nice, but the advertising team and bosses will do anything just to get you to sign up. You're better off keeping your parents at home and hiring a personal aide. It will be way less costly and more importantly, they will be much safer. They won't have to worry about their savings being wasted on a bottomless money pit. Every part of the place is short staffed. Once your loved one is inside, I hope they can get by by themselves, because that's what will happen. Don't believe what they tell you about assisted living or memory care. I've seen how they take care, or rather, don't take care of them. They've been in the news before and they blamed it on an unhappy worker. But the real deal is, lots of staff have complained about how the older folks are being treated. If they speak up too much, they get fired. The good workers that stick around despite the poor staffing and wages are few and far between.

"Facility Needs Improvement"
The assisted living facility has room for improvement. Staff response time is slow, but there are plenty of activities. Communication about food options needs work.

"Assisted Living Needs Less Staff Praise, More Authenticity"
The Carrington seemed nice and clean. There were more staff, which was good. But it felt fake. Everywhere we went, staff came up to me, saying how much they liked the facility, and I didn't like that.

"Headline"
We picked The Carrington at Lincolnwood because it's spacious and new. Make sure to be clear about your needs beforehand. While it wasn't perfect for my loved one, I'd recommend it if it aligns with what you're seeking.
