"Affordable, Friendly Assisted Living"

Everyone at The Sheridan is super friendly. The staff pays close attention and responds quickly. I really appreciate their affordable two-bedroom suite with a shared bathroom—it saved us money. Other places didn’t offer this option. Plus, they worked with us on pricing. We’re very happy with The Sheridan!

"Lots to do and great care!"

They keep the residents busy with lots of activities in this community. My loved ones really appreciate the nursing staff and everything they do. This community is a great place, and my parents are happy here.

"Professional and caring staff during a difficult time."

I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism of the whole team during this crisis. With a loved one in Memory Care, it's especially hard not to have physical contact for so long. The directors and staff have done everything they can to help us stay in touch. I really commend them for their efforts.

"Memory Care Building Shows Care, Leadership Communication Needs Improvement"

The Good: The people taking care of the Memory Care Building seem to do their daily tasks with a lot of care. Residents get to do activities every day to socialize, and they're encouraged to join in. The Not So Good: The communication from the leaders is disappointing, and their knowledge about what to do is not very good. Meals for Memory Care residents are delivered because the kitchen isn't staffed to make food every day. Request: Our family wants to know how many nurses are working all the time. Also, how do staff tell the doctor about residents' health? And how do they tell families?

"Great place but slow restaurant service."

I helped move my parents into the Independent Living side last fall. They are very happy and always talk about how friendly everyone is. The place looks new, is beautifully decorated, and feels more like a hotel than a retirement community. The only problem is that the restaurant service is very slow, so waiting to be served is their main complaint.

"Poor Management and Care at Assisted Living Facility"

Initially, I was intrigued and impressed by this assisted living facility. However, after spending some time there, I noticed some troubling issues. For example, there was a woman who had trouble with handling of important items like storage keys. Additionally, she made up stories about giving notes to the residents, when in reality, such incident never occurred. It would have been more appropriate if she had simply informed us that she had ran out of large gloves for the nurses. Speaking of which, the memory care section had exhausted their supply of gloves in every size. Furthermore, the nursing director wasn't equipped with the necessary psychiatric consults, leading to residents being left without proper one-to-one medical attention. I found these issues serious enough to report to the police. Despite the help and support received, my overall experience was disappointingly poor. Consequently, I would hesitate to place my mother in the memory care unit, as it is far too expansive and distant from the nurses' station. I hope this review is helpful.

"High costs, variable food quality disappoint at assisted living facility."

The receptionist is usually distracted with her Apple EarPods. In terms of memory care, I've noticed gloves are not always used. The activities offered are actually pretty good. Seems like the top management rarely leave their offices to interact with the residents. There's a nice guy working the front desk security at night. But the cost here is high, especially because they charge $3,000 for carpet replacement when you leave. Not a good bang for your buck at all. The meals are hit-or-miss: some are good, others not so much. Just sharing what I've seen. Some residents have already moved out after a short stay, including a couple who seemed unwell. And I've noticed some residents don't seem to be in the right place. That's my two cents.
