"Caring staff, needs more activities"
The place is welcoming, and the staff are caring and helpful. They need more music and activities for older folks, like those in their 90s. Music from the 40s or 50s would be nice. Activities, nothing specific comes to mind. He’s a moderately grumpy guy with lots of arthritis, and his hands don’t work like they used to.

"Inadequate Care and Poor Facility Maintenance at The Wellshire"
The air conditioning in this assisted living facility broke down three times during a hot wave and my mom wasn't moved to a cool room. She had to use a fan until they fixed it. The meals here were terrible and an ant infestation lasted for several weeks. Even after a week, they didn't provide ant baits so I had to buy my own. We'd been considering other facilities, and they've been reaching out to see if we're ready to leave this place yet. The shower facility has had to be repaired three times due to their poor maintenance. Numerous retirees work here just to add a bit to their Social Security income. My mom's privacy was often invaded, with staff barging into the bathroom without a knock, even after we requested that they knock. Although the staff were kind, they were terribly understaffed. They'd fix broken items, but they should have replaced them instead of letting them fall apart again and again. I'd never recommend The Wellshire to anyone unless you don't care about your loved one all that much. All costs were included in the price and they never asked for her savings, but they compromised care quality for that. It wasn't what we expected. I know running this sort of business is tough, but this facility's a true cautionary tale! To give them credit, my mother was quite a tough resident who didn't want to admit she was unwell. Still, they ignored many issues and settled for temporary fixes when replacements were needed. It's an old building where everybody anticipates the next breakdown. They allege that corporate won't approve the needed repairs. Regardless, they are far from being a top-tier place.

"Limited Activities and Small Community"
I like this place. The staff is friendly, but the activities are lacking. There's no community bus for outings. It's a small community with about 40 residents, so social options are limited.

"Friendly Community with Great Food and Activities!"
Our main worry right now is the laundry service. We pay for it, but it hasn't been done on time, so our family has to take care of it. The community offers lots of fun activities for residents. They're helpful and addressing our concerns. The staff is friendly, and the place is clean. The food is great, and my loved one enjoys it. They serve three meals a day.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
The place is really nice, but it didn't quite fit our loved one's needs, so we had to hire a caregiver to come in. I chatted with some residents during our visit, and they all seemed to really enjoy living here, which was good to hear. Overall, I would definitely suggest this place for assisted living.

"Room Size Disappointment"
They responded quickly to my call and gave me a virtual tour. However, the room wasn't as big as I expected, even though the price was within my budget.

"Outdated Facilities with Limited Amenities, Disappointing Experience Overall"
This place is really old-fashioned. The furniture looks like it's from the old days. You won't find toaster ovens in your room. It's not very big, only around 45 people live here. Some of them leave their doors wide open on the first floor. It's not pleasant at all! And they're asking for a lot of money for this place. It doesn't make sense!

"Nice but Not for Brainy Folks"
37 out of 50 stars. The staff was super nice, welcoming, and answered all our questions. The place is only eight years old, but it kinda smelled like a funeral home. The cool thing is that the prices cover everything – no extra charges! Even if your needs change day to day or year to year. They don't have tons of caregivers, but [name removed] said service wait times are short. There are about 33 to 34 residents in a cozy 45-person place. People seem kinda tired, though. Overall, nice but not for brainy folks.

"Safe and caring community for mom highly recommended by families."
My mom is doing great here at this place. I really think she’s in good hands and safe. The staff is nice and they’ve been really helpful. They take good care of her and her needs. Everything is going well, and I would tell my friends about this place.

"Potential Gem Needs Polishing"
This spot seems nice. The entrance is pretty, like a fancy hotel. The rooms are big enough to make it feel like home with your own stuff. But, they need more people working here to look after everyone. They don’t have rules for how many helpers they need, so they don’t do anything about it. You have to wait a long time for help, which isn’t good. The things to do here are not fun and keep being the same. The meals sound special, but it’s the same food again and again, with lots of canned fruits and veggies from the freezer. This place could be awesome with some changes. There’s a new boss, so we’re waiting to see what happens.

"Costly but Caring"
I visited the community, and it was clean with friendly staff who seemed knowledgeable about resident care. However, the cost was too high for me, and the location wasn’t convenient.

"Friendly, but not the right fit"
I toured The Wellshire, and I think it used to have a different name. We knew someone who stayed there years ago and didn’t have a good experience. That might have influenced our decision, but also, it was an older place. I’m sure everything is fine, but sometimes you just get a certain feeling when you walk into a place. The people were very friendly, and the tour was good, but it just wasn’t what we were looking for.

"Feels More Like a Nursing Home"
This place is more like a nursing home than assisted living. The environment is a bit dreary, and you don't see many residents out and about. However, they seem to provide good care and offer very good value for the money. It's just not lively or lovely enough for my mom.

"Great Communication and Neat Community!"
The community is quiet, and everyone is friendly and caring. When I visit my father during meals, the food looks good, and he hasn't complained about it. There aren't many activities offered, but his room and the whole place are neat. I appreciate the nurses' great communication; it's reassuring to know they'll get in touch if something happens.
