"Charged Huge Sum Without Entry, Denied Mom Access After Payment"
Don't ever sign the contract, or you might end up owing them a hefty sum even without ever entering the place. It's unfair, but yes, it did happen! They should provide help instead of always wanting to cash checks. More details. They need to stop being so cold and robotic. It's the worst I've ever experienced. They took my mom's money and wouldn't let her in! Then they had the nerve to ask for another month's rent because of that contract.

"Disappointing Experience at Nearby Assisted Living Facility"
We chose this place because it was near our home and had space when we needed it. They were friendly and helpful when we brought my father-in-law there. But after a few months, we decided to move him elsewhere. I wouldn't suggest it to others.

"Spacious but Great: Three Oaks Assisted Living"
I visited Three Oaks Assisted Living. It was far away, and the facility was too big. But it’s nice! For my disabled loved one, the size would’ve been challenging to navigate. Still, overall, it’s a great place.

"Very Tiny Rooms, Staff Doesn't Know Residents. Not for Us."
We met with someone who sadly, after two years of working there, still didn't know the names of any residents. We were considering their "buddy" rooms, but they were really tiny. This place probably won't be a good fit for us.

"Poor Support for Caregivers from Top Management"
Terrible Leadership...Both the top boss and the head of resident care are awful. They really don't help the caregivers. It's obvious when you walk in, you can see caregivers having a hard time taking care of residents. The management should step up and assist. They should NOT just sit at their desk, or stay in their office.

"Improper Assessment Lead To Care Problems!"
I originally picked this place for mom since it's in a good spot, looks great, has yummy food, tidy rooms, and awesome staff. It could've worked out well for her, but we had a huge problem. A nurse from Three Oaks visited mom's place in Chicago to check if she would fit in their facility. I informed her that mom was turned down from another facility since she requires more help. Despite this, I was repeatedly told it would be "not an issue". They confirmed her eligibility, leading us to move from Chicago, but a problem arose after mom moved in. I was always getting calls about her having accidents like falling from the bed. Once, when I was out of town, they told me I had to hire a full-time helper because they didn't check her needs properly and they couldn't care for her. This costed me $190 daily! Even with the full-time helper, I still had to rely on them to help mom! I paid for her meals and her sleeping area because they didn't provide it. Mom was at Three Oaks for only two weeks and ran into loads of issues, so I had to find her a different place. This place is full of poor communication.

"Enjoyable Visit, But Found Closer Community"
My visit to this place was pretty good. Everyone was really nice to both my family and me. The tour was successful, and the whole place looked well kept. All the staff I met were friendly and kind. It was a nice experience, although we ended up finding a community that was nearer to our home.

"One of My Top Picks"
I really liked touring this community. It's a nice place, and I considered it for my mom. The staff was friendly, and everything looked neat. Budget was important, though we found a more affordable option. Still, it's a great community with friendly people.

"Care quality dropped due to staff cuts at Three Oaks!"
When our family member moved into Three Oaks Assisted Living, it was a great place. However, with some residents leaving, they've cut back on staff there. The workers who are still there are too busy trying to look after everyone. The care my family member used to receive isn't as good as it once was.

"Community Attempts Improvement in Communication"
The staff was helpful when we were filling out the application even though it took a lot of time and was hard! I wish there was a simpler, more friendly way of doing things! After moving in, we liked how homely and nice the place was! But we've been having issues with how they talk with us, sometimes it's unclear or not often enough. That doesn’t mean we don’t like here, we're just hoping they will get better at talking with the families of the people living here!'

"Perfect place for Dad with friendly staff and great care"
When we first visited, the place felt like home. The clean and welcoming atmosphere made it easy to choose this facility for my dad. He gets great care here, and everyone is friendly. We moved Dad after a lot of searching. Even though he doesn’t need much help right now, we wanted a place where he could get more care as his Alzheimer’s progresses. We were nervous about the move, but he has adjusted well. He’s made friends, gained weight, and enjoys many activities and trips.

"Three Oaks: A Positive Experience for My Dad"
My dad moved to Three Oaks. He wasn't keen on the idea of assisted living, but he needed more help than I could provide. After visiting a few times and seeing the place and meeting people, he started to warm up to the idea. By a year later, he loves it there. He's made many friends, and the staff has been kind to both of us. They help him find activities to stay busy, which he enjoys. They have lots of activities every day, and the activity team is friendly and always coming up with new things to do. I arranged for my dad to get a haircut every month, even if he forgets to make an appointment. Since he's been at Three Oaks, he's gotten the help he needs, which has made a big difference. Now, I can focus on spending time with him instead of worrying about all the things he needs help with. I would have given it five stars, but my dad is picky about food. He doesn't like chicken, turkey, or fish, so his food choices are limited. I wish that could be different.

"I cannot say enough nice things about Three Oaks!"
My parents live at Three Oaks, and it's been great since we started. The staff are friendly and helpful. They really care about the residents, and any issues my parents have are addressed quickly. Both of my parents enjoy the food and activities, which have helped my Mom feel healthier since moving in. I'm very happy with the results so far and excited for more improvements!

"Clean and Pleasant Atmosphere"
Three Oaks is neat and has a nice living environment. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about the residents. My mom has been there for 7 months and is adjusting to assisted living. While she hasn't always been completely satisfied, the staff tries their best to accommodate her. Residents have discussed the food quality, and I hope improvements happen soon. Overall, Three Oaks is good, and they're working to make it better.

"Three Oaks Offers Excellent Care in a Warm, Welcoming Environment"
My husband and I highly recommend Three Oaks to anyone! My father-in-law has lived there in both a 2-bedroom apartment and a studio apartment. Three Oaks is warm, bright, clean, and beautifully decorated. Whenever we bring Dad back from an outing, he clearly feels at home when he returns to Three Oaks. The staff are all helpful, kind, and caring. They go the extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. We never worry because we know our loved one is in great hands, and they will call us if there's anything we need to know.

"Unexpected Charges Ruined Otherwise Nice Assisted Living Experience"
Three Oaks was a cool place. It's super clean and new, and the folks were friendly. But, we left because after we agreed on the price and moved Grandma in, they added a bunch of extra charges, like a couple of thousand bucks, for stuff she didn't even need. That made it too expensive for us.

"Great Experience for Dad at Three Oaks Since 2013"
My dad has been at Three Oaks since October 2013, and it’s been a great experience for us. Before this, he was in a nursing home, but Three Oaks is very different. It’s clean, the food is good, and the staff is amazing and caring. They offer different apartment options, from shared ones with separate bedrooms to private two-bedroom apartments. There are lots of daily activities and a flexible team that helps make the move as smooth as possible.

"Unfair Fee Hike For New Tech, Care Unimproved"
We adore the staff here but I'm frustrated with the recent increase in fees. My parent was already at the top tier of care, but after the company launched a new digital system (aimed at ditching paper), my monthly charge jumped by $1000. Relatives of other residents reported similar hikes, with one saying their loved one's fee rose by two care levels. This additional charge doesn't translate to more or better care for my parent. It just switches caregivers from a notebook to a tablet. It's disappointing!

"Facility Fails to Provide Proper Assisted Living Care"
They claim to be an assisted living and memory care facility, but in reality, they're unprepared to handle either of those needs. They let her miss meals because she was asleep. Instead of immediately calling 911 when she needed to go to the emergency room, they called me. To top it off, they gave me the wrong patient's records.

"High School Drama in Assisted Living Center"
Right now, one of my family members lives in this place and she kinda liked it. Liked, that's the word here. To me, all the people here, the caregivers, the nurses, and the people running the show, they seem like girls gossiping in a high school locker room. They love talking about other residents and their workers, saying stuff that's way out of line. There's totally no regard for anyone's privacy among these people. The worst was when this high-ranking lady goes around spilling confidential info about the people living here to staff and other residents. Truly uncool and really freaks me out.

"Possibly Low Staffing"
The workers and the ladies are okay, but some folks in charge aren't friendly. They've been helpful, but not very warm. I'm not expecting a big hello every time, just a bit more friendliness would be nice. They seem to just state the facts and move on. Not all of them, just a couple. I was happy with the care until recently. I wish they'd check on her more and have pull cords in the bathrooms like they do by the beds. Overall, I've been satisfied except for one incident. The staff seems stretched thin with more residents now.

"Lack of Resident Interaction; Friendly Staff; Minor Concerns"
I haven't been to many places like this, but I've noticed that the people living here don't seem to connect much. The staff is super nice, so they definitely deserve a 5-star rating. But I hardly see residents chatting with each other. Once, my family member wanted to join a group at a table, but they were told no. They say they're fine staying in their room, but the staff tries to get them out and about. There's a club for new residents, but my family member hasn't really joined. We've had a problem that seems simple but hasn't been fixed. That's my main concern, but otherwise, it's okay.

"Friendly Community with Individualized Care for Dad"
They're very friendly and it's very clean. They lowered the price for us. At the original price, I would've felt it was a little too much. It's a small community so my father gets very personalized care, but there aren't many men there. There are maybe 5 or 6 other men and not too many activities for them. There's a men's group, a card group, and a men's movie night, but it's limited. My father needs help with his medication and they weren't ready to give it to him the first night he was there. I'm not sure what the problem was but that's the only issue we've had. The community is brand new. It's only a year and a half old. My dad likes the meals and has been eating very well since he's been there.

"Great Staff, New Facility, But Location Concerns and Limited Availability"
He is amazing! Her energy is contagious. She found a perfect group for Mom. We liked the focus on including everyone, which helped Mom because she's shy. The place is new and smells nice. The staff knows everyone by name. The apartments are lovely and bright, but we couldn't find a one-bedroom for Mom, and we want her to move in May. One downside is Mom didn't like the idea of interacting with Alzheimer's patients; it reminded her of her Aunt at a memory care place. Also, the location on 4 corners worries us. It's not very safe to drive out onto the busy street. Plus, there's no treadmill in the fitness center, and Mom likes to walk. If Mom had Alzheimer's, this would be our top choice.
