"Men's Club and Activities Shine"
We picked this place mainly because of the men's club and the wide range of activities they offer.

"Assisted Living Review"
This place is really good. They don't go overboard with fancy service, but they're quick to answer questions and help out. I chose this community because they have the care I need, plus cool stuff like a sunny room, a greenhouse, and a layout that makes sense. The price seems fair too.

"Convenient and Welcoming Assisted Living with Friendly Atmosphere"
We picked Anthology of Grayslake because it's close to our home and we liked how it looked and felt when we first walked in. Everyone there is really friendly, and it's a pleasant place to be. The staff and residents include everyone and make you feel very welcome. We've gotten to know a lot of the people who live here. I think others looking should consider Anthology of Grayslake.

"Terrible Experience: Mismatched Services, Limited Activities, and Poor Food"
They explained their services, which turned out to be quite different than what they actually provided. There weren't many activities for my family member and not enough staff to help them participate. They need to improve on pairing residents with staff who can meet their mental needs. The meals were awful and usually arrived cold. All in all, we had a terrible time there.

"Poor Food and Broken Promises at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member didn't belong here. The meals were bad. Plus, there was no cable TV in the memory support area. They failed to keep their promises. I can't suggest this place to other families.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short in Care and Communication"
At first, we thought it was okay, but problems surfaced. We wouldn't recommend them. Our loved one's rings were stolen. They were understaffed, and she didn't receive proper care. Promises were made but never fulfilled. One Friday, her fire alarm beeped, and they said she had to wait until Monday for help. We had to fix it ourselves. Without family checking in, it'd be tough. They need to improve services for fragile residents.

"Residents lacked presence and staff communication."
We didn’t see anyone around, so we didn’t witness any communication between the staff and the residents. The one time we did see residents, they seemed kind of absent.

"Understaffed with Few Activities, Otherwise Clean and Pleasant Facility"
This community is nice, but it seems they don't have enough staff. There aren't many activities for residents. The place looks nice and is kept clean. The care and activities are the main things that need improvement.

"Assisted Living Tour: Limited Activities, High Cost, Good Community"
We visited the assisted living place in the evening. Not many activities were happening, and some rules were still there. We saw much of the community but felt it was a bit pricier than we wanted.

"Avoid this facility; poor communication, inadequate care, and dismissive administration"
You really shouldn't think about sending a loved one here. The staff is always changing, and nobody tells you anything about what's happening. The bosses couldn't care less and act like they're better than you. The employees don't get any help, and the part of the place for people with memory problems feels empty and gloomy. There's nothing for them to do either. They would often put my Mom in other people's clothes, even though we told them every time. If I could, I wouldn't give them any stars. We got my Mom out of there fast, and I suggest anyone with a loved one there do the same. I think the workers are okay - I'll give them 3 stars. But the bosses get none.

"Communication issues persist despite overall satisfactory experience at assisted living facility."
My parent's been here since it opened. Mostly good, but some real problems with knowing what's happening. Many staff changes not announced, unsure about shower times, flu shot, and salon appointment missed before a family event. Would like to say everything's great, but struggling with communication.

"Limited Flexibility on Costs"
The place is nice and new, but they're not flexible with costs. It feels like they won't accommodate any requests.

"Bitterly Frustrated with this Assisted Living Center"
My dad's brief stint at this assisted living center was extremely unsatisfactory. The first concern was the staff members. Quite a few temps were working in the memory care unit and none seemed proficient in their duties. The woman commanding the memory care unit also showed severe lack of organization skills. It always appeared like there were never enough staff members to properly tend to the residents. During one of my visits, I was taken aback that my dad was not in a hygienic state and his dentures were not cleaned the entire time. Even more worrisome was finding scattered pills under the couch while searching for my dad's wallet. That's absolutely unacceptable. I felt like the picturesque property was a guise for the inferior care. They failed to deliver on their promises and I strongly advise against considering this facility.

"Considered Traverse Living; Newer but Few Residents; Worried about Fit"
I visited Traverse Living, my second choice. I couldn't decide between here and another place. This one looked newer, maybe it'd be good. But there weren't many people around. I worried if my loved one would fit in with so few residents.

"Staffing Shortage Hinders New Assisted Living Community's Potential"
The place is new and pretty cool. But, there aren't enough people to look after my mom well. The folks I talked to were friendly, though. Once they hire more staff, it'll be great!

"Travanse Living Delivers Personalized Support and Activities"
The people who work here help my relative join in activities. They're really nice and help her get used to things. Sometimes she even says she enjoys the food. We picked Travanse Living because we like how they think. They say each person is different, so they treat them that way. Plus, they have lots of things to do.
