Based on our experience with Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge, the workers are really nice and pay close attention to everyone. We also like all the fun activities they have for the residents!

"Helpful Facility, Slightly Farther Than Ideal for Me"

The facility was really helpful, providing lots of information. It's just a bit far from my home and work.

"Amazing Care and Support at Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge"

My dad lived at Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge for over 2.5 years. Through all the changes, the one friendly constant was [name removed] - Lifestyle Specialist. She went above and beyond, even when she and my dad were at Victory Centre of Park Forest Independent Building. She’s the reason I could get my dad moved in when he didn’t want to sign the paperwork. She also helped me keep him there even when other managers started leaving. I really appreciate everything she did! Since the new management team arrived, including Executive Director, Business Office Manager, and Wellness Manager, there have been some serious improvements. It’s clear they all really care about the residents. I had some issues with my dad before, and they all helped me out. I’m truly grateful to all of them. Thank you!

It’s always a pleasure meeting with her. Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge is the best assisted living facility my sister has ever been in.

"Urgent: Remove Loved Ones, Poor Medical Care, Hoping For Improvement"

Move your family member out of this place immediately, particularly if they have any health issues. The doctor/nursing care, communication, and proper follow-up is missing. The only real help comes from visiting nurses who drop in on weekends. Let's hope the new heads in charge can better this dreadful situation.

"Assisted Living Staff and Cleanliness Disappoint, Not as Expected"

The people working here aren't as good as I thought. They don't check on the residents as often as they should, especially those who can't move around easily. Also, the cleaning crew isn't as good as the one at Brookdale.

"Understaffed, overcrowded, and disorganized facility."

I found out about this place online. It has some good and bad points. They don't have enough staff on purpose, it's too crowded, messy, and not as friendly to the workers as they say. The common areas and dining rooms need to be taken care of more often. If you can find a better place for your loved one that you can afford, I suggest you keep looking.

"Long and tedious move-in process; staff uncooperative"

I visited the Victory Center. The place looked nice, but the moving-in took a long time and was boring. Also, the staff didn't seem to want to help us.

"Victory of Sierra Ridge: A Caring Family Partnership"

My mom moved in a month ago, and welcomed her with open arms. It was a tough decision for us, but both [Removed] encouraged Mom. The staff was responsive and friendly to Mom, other residents, and me. She knew everyone by name, which impressed me. These ladies made a soothing impact during an emotional time. Their concern and patience meant a lot. Before Victory, Mom struggled with consistent eating and preparing for dialysis. Now she gets help with showers, dialysis prep, and regular meals. She also interacts with people daily. Victory lightened the burden of caring for Mom. I’m grateful! Regarding care, Victory is RESPONSIVE. I talk to the Wellness Executive and the team responsible for Mom’s care. Their recommendation helped when I stepped back a bit. Collaboration and communication matter. The administrative team adjusts care plans as needed. FAMILY is key—we’re active partners. Thank you, Victory of Sierra Ridge! Together, we care for Mom.

"Negligent Staff and Poor Care at Assisted Living Facility"

This place is seriously so bad, and don't believe any of these good reviews, they're definitely fake. They've got no good points, only bad. There's literally a doctor present only ONE day every week and even then, most of the time, patients don't even get to see him when they're supposed to. The workers here are super lazy and rude. My grandma, who can't see, ended up falling on the floor and even though she pulled the call light, nobody showed up for a whole 6 HOURS, and she was just lying there hurting that entire time. She needed to stay in the hospital for a bit after this happened. There are tons of terrible stories about this place that I could tell. Honestly, I wouldn't let even my worst enemy live here.

"Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge is a caring, safe home."

My mom lived on her own until she turned 99, but when she started falling and being alone often, my daughter and I knew it was time to find a safer place for her. We were worried and had trouble finding a good facility, but then my cousin's friend recommended Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge. From our first visit, the Lifestyle Coordinator answered all my questions and helped with the paperwork. She truly cares about the residents and made my mom feel special. She even let us decorate Mom's room before she moved in, which made the transition so much easier. I still have videos of Mom crying with happiness when she saw her beautiful new room. A few months after moving in, Mom had some health issues and was hospitalized a few times. I thought we'd have to find a new place for her, but the Executive Director assured me that Victory Centre was her home, and she was welcome back. That meant a lot to me. Mom recovered and has been doing well since then. The staff and residents love her, which gives me great peace of mind. The facility is clean, with lots of activities, outings, and a nice menu in the dining room. The nurses are all very nice and keep me updated on Mom's health. When Mom turned 100, the Director, staff, and residents celebrated with her. She'll be 102 this September, and I know being at Victory Centre has a lot to do with her well-being. I highly recommend this facility for your loved one.

"Victory Centre brings peace of mind during a tough time"

My dad's ability to take care of himself started to decline in mid-2015. I lived an hour away and was really worried about his safety and well-being. He has dementia and had several incidents that made me fear for his safety. I couldn't move him in with me and was very nervous about finding a safe and caring place that could give him the attention he needed. I started looking for options and quickly got frustrated with the search. Finally, I found Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge. Even though it was the 7th place I checked, it was definitely worth the wait! Comparing it to the others made it clear that Victory Centre of Sierra Ridge was exactly what I was looking for. From the moment I met Latrice, the Lifestyle Coordinator (she's amazing), I knew my dad would be well taken care of here. After our first meeting, I felt a huge sense of relief knowing I made the right choice. Today, I have no regrets. Everyone I've met at the facility has been kind, attentive, and caring toward my dad. They all know him by name and where he lives. Diane at the front desk keeps sweets for him because she knows he loves them. When I'm worried about his health, they always take the time to meet with me and explain what he's going through because they know a lot about his condition. Whenever his doctors change his care, they adjust quickly to meet his new needs. I can't fully express how thankful and happy I am that they've been there for me and my dad during this tough time in his life.

"Great care, improvement, and safety at Victory Center of Sierra Ridge"

My mother has lived at Victory Center of Sierra Ridge since October 2014. After having two strokes and getting a pacemaker from July to September 2014, we decided it was best for her health, as she needed more help with daily activities. Since moving to Victory Center, she has made a lot of progress. She can walk, talk, and even sing now. She still needs help with bathing, taking her medicine, housekeeping, and laundry, but Victory Center takes care of all that, along with her meals. She loves the food there. She has diabetes and high blood pressure, but her glucose and blood pressure are under control now. She really likes the nursing staff. I should mention that my mother has several serious illnesses. Earlier this year, we started Comfort Care, and she's gotten even better. With music therapy, the chaplain, the CNA, the nurse, and the social worker, her social skills have greatly improved. She used to visit the emergency room a lot, but she hasn’t needed to go since starting with Comfort Care and Victory Center. Lastly, my mother feels safe there. When there was a minor incident, the staff was with her in less than three minutes. She feels confident that if anything happens, they will be there to help her. From the receptionist to the executive director, I give them all the highest praise!

"Assisted Living Community Review: Positive Changes and Vibrant Atmosphere"

My mom has lived in this community for a few years. There have been a lot of different managers lately. Some changes have been good. One change, in particular, has been really good. The activity manager, Katherine, is outstanding. She is very kind to my mom and encourages her to try new things. Ever since she got there, I noticed that my mom is happier and more upbeat. There is definitely a lot more going on there than there used to be.
