"Great Place with a Homey Feel"
My parents moved in soon after the new place opened. The environment is really nice and welcoming. It's easy to get around, but big enough for fun activities and good food. We've used the two big rooms for family gatherings, and it felt like home. We're very happy with it! One thing that could be better is having more transportation for residents to go to places other than medical appointments. Keep up the good work!

"Positive Changes Make The Villa Top Choice"
My grandpa has been living at the Villa for many years. Since new management took over, everyone there is much happier. The main area is always clean and looks nice, with residents often gathering and talking at tables. My grandpa's room is clean too, and the staff takes good care of him. The food is okay, and they try to meet everyone's preferences. Out of the four assisted living places I've visited, this one is definitely the best.

"Review of Villa West"
My grandpa has lived at the Villa for several years. Since it’s now under new management, the atmosphere is always positive. The common area is clean and nicely decorated, and residents often gather and chat at tables. My grandpa’s room is tidy, and the staff takes good care of him. The food is okay, and they try to accommodate individual preferences. Out of the four assisted living facilities I’ve seen, this is definitely the best.

"Beware: Facility Run by Fear and Deceit"
We visited this assisted living facility and it looked great. But they promised things that turned out to not be true. As soon as we paid, they started acting differently. I tried to stand up for my family member and the person in charge got mean and didn't act like a professional. This place seemed to be run by scaring people and tricking them. I was yelled at by the boss and the owners didn't help. I was scared to leave my family there. We saw other people being made fun of and bullied. People were too scared to say anything for fear of what would happen to them. If you need a place that actually takes care of your loved ones, don't go here.

"Unhappy with Villa West's Director and Food Quality"
I usually don't pen down reviews, but Villa West really left me unhappy. Sure, the place is well-situated and a majority of the staff were of help. However, the food they serve didn't quite hit the mark. The biggest issue though, was the director. When I brought up concerns about the treatment my aunt was getting, she just became hard to deal with - and combative. I found that others who reviewed the place had similar bad experiences. Interacting with the director was quite distressing, and I regret ever choosing her and Villa West for my aunt's care. Thankfully, we've moved my aunt to a different home and it's going much better. Please, don't make the same error as me!

"Beautiful Assisted Living Center Actually Horribly Managed"
I agree with the last person's review of this living center. On the surface, it seems nice, but underneath that, it's terribly organized. The head of the place is to blame. Like the last reviewer said, she made lots of promises before we moved in that she didn't keep. Looking back, I can see the signs now - she was always making outrageous promises to our questions. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is... Once my mom moved in, the food quality went downhill until it was barely edible. There was a huge amount of employee turnover, all because of how the director managed things. She monitored her staff too closely, yelled at them, spread untruths about them to residents and their families when questioned, and overall was unpleasant. She even yelled at me and confronted me in a very aggressive manner when I brought up the center's issues. We got my mom out of there as fast as we could. Don't be fooled by how the place looks or the empty promises. This place is atrocious!

"Disappointing and Stressful Stay at the Villa"
My dad lived in a different assisted living place for more than three years before we transferred him to the Villa. We knew a thing or two about assisted living facilities. My first chat with the director was encouraging. She painted this rosy picture of life at the Villa making all sorts of claims and promises. But as soon as she got the signed papers and initial payment, things changed. Promises were not kept — everything from his morning wakeup to evening showers was not as they claimed. There was a maintenance issue that was never fixed during his whole four-month stay, and his apartment lacked hot water for the first two weeks. The food, which was fabulous when we tried it before his move, turned a corner for the worse. The two entrée choices we were offered disappeared, and the food started to look and taste bad. The "anytime" menu they had offered very limited choices. In my view, the director's unprofessional behavior was the most serious issue. She was often accusatory, angry, and difficult, which made the whole place stressful and tense — not the kind of atmosphere that an assisted living facility should have. The rest of the staffers were good at their job and nice, but they couldn't perform their best because of heavy-handed supervision from the top. After four months, I moved my dad to another facility. He's now comfortable, well-fed, and well taken care of. Most importantly, he's living in a less stressful, relaxed environment. This decision wasn't easy since it's really tough to move older folks, but it was the best decision.
