"Comfortable Rural Setting with Friendly Staff and Clean Environment"
We chose this community because of its rural location, which we thought would help Dad feel more at ease. The staff seemed nice, and the place was clean and didn't have any bad smells! Overall, it was a pleasant place. It's mostly clean, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Just be cautious with the Registered Nurse. I would feel okay recommending this place, but I'd definitely mention the less-than-great food, especially when it's taken to your room (it's often cold and late, since they deliver those last). Overall, I think it would be a suitable place for my friend, as long as they know these things beforehand!

"Mixed Reviews on Assisted Living Facility"
The staff is friendly and helpful, but the place needs some updates. The food isn't great, but communication with families is good. Meals are available three times a day, and residents can order from a regular menu if they don't like what's served. My loved one complains about the food, but I'm not sure if others feel the same way.

"Caring Staff and Nice Facility, But Food Needs Improvement"
My mom is happy at Rochester Estates. The staff takes good care of her, and they’re always in touch with me. The facility is nice, but the food needs more flavor.

"Family-like atmosphere, flexible living options, and pet-friendly – Rochester Estates shines."
Rochester Estates is a really nice place. It feels like a small town, even though it's owned by a big company. It feels like a community and a family when you're there. My mom first stayed there for a short break. I was away, but I called her a few times. She told me she wanted to stay longer and how much she loves it there. She said she didn't realize how lonely she was at home until she went there. Now she's there permanently! We signed an agreement for her to stay and moved her furniture in. During her short stay, she had a nice studio that was already furnished. Other places wanted us to bring furniture, which I thought would be hard for a short stay. Rochester showed us their one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, but my mom liked the studio she stayed in. She said it was perfect for her in terms of location and size. She really wanted to stay in that unit because she liked it so much. We talked to the director and they said she could stay there as long as she wanted. If she decides to move to a different apartment later, she can do that too. They were very accommodating about it. My mom became a widow in 2017, so we got her a cat for company. Rochester lets her keep her cat there as long as she can take care of it. I really think if they hadn't let her keep her cat, we wouldn't have chosen them.

"Disappointing Dining Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The food here isn't good at all. Even if you pick something from the menu, it's still not tasty. It seems like everything is not fresh, mostly just processed stuff. And this has been happening for years. It's sad because they have so much land; they could grow their own gardens or ask a school or group to do it as a project.

"Not Quite What We Expected"
The Wyndvrest felt too similar to a nursing home. My mom didn't require much help, and it seemed more like assisted living. The staff was nice, but it wasn't what we wanted.

"Great Care and Flexibility at Wyndcrest Assisted Living"
Wyndcrest Assisted Living is a great place. The staff is really friendly and always ready to help. They have a good selection of foods, including regular menu items and short order options. My mom loves it there and says it feels like a home away from home. She’s treated very well whenever she’s there. The rates are fair, and whenever we need to be out of town, we check with Wyndcrest for availability, and they usually have a spot. They are very flexible and accommodating.
