"Mostly good staff and service, recommend this place."

Some of the staff are nice; a few are not. The Director of Nursing doesn’t answer my questions. Two sisters clean the apartments. They are friendly, respectful, and do a good job. Dining hall servers are helpful and caring. I think the food could be better, but Mom and other residents like it. Portions are small, but you can ask for seconds or order extra sides. Moving in was easy because Mom’s apartment has an outside door. They talk to me since Mom doesn't handle things herself. I recommend this assisted living facility to others.

"Consistent Care and Great Dining at Allisonville Meadows!"

I appreciate that Mom gets consistent care from the same nurse and aide at Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living. They've learned her preferences, which is great because Mom can be a bit fussy. The restaurant-style dining is a plus, although some residents end up eating alone. And with the dining hall open until 6pm, you can grab a snack anytime. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Allisonville Meadows to others!

"Caring staff felt like family, difficult move to skilled care."

Staff are amazing, hardworking, and caring. They felt like family during my dad's time living there. It was so hard when we had to move him to skilled care. [Name] was my dad's angel.

"Mixed Experience: Beautiful Facility with Some Oversight and Service Issues"

The place looks nice, and the front desk folks were friendly. Management seemed nice too, but they had too much to handle. Some nurses were good, others not so much. It felt like chaos sometimes. Our loved one stayed a few months, but cleaning only happened once in that time, not weekly as promised. And when they did clean, it was inconsistent. Food was just okay.

"Assisted Living Review: Clean, Friendly, Convenient Location, Locally Owned"

The facility seemed clean, and the staff was friendly. My younger sister, who works in EMS transport, has had some negative interactions with the staff here. They have two buildings - one for assisted living and another for memory care. I visited the assisted living facility, which didn't feel like a typical nursing home. The location isn't as convenient as some others, but I'll keep it in mind. It's locally owned and operated, which could be a positive aspect.

"Great Community"

I visited this place for my family member and liked it a lot. The community is great, staff are friendly and know a lot. But it was too costly for us, so we chose a more practical option.” And the headline would be:

"Lovely community!"

The Allisonville Meadows was a great place to visit. The independent living area was lovely, and everyone was friendly. I would have chosen it if my mom didn’t need more care.

"Pricey Facility with Unkind, Unprofessional Head Nurse"

This center costs too much and the main nurse isn't nice; she's rude and lacks professionalism.

"Mixed Feelings, Overall Positive Experience at Allisonville Meadows"

My sister enjoys the food at Allisonville Meadows, but Mom doesn't like it, and she's not fond of the water either. The staff are nice and helpful. My sister is thriving since she moved in. She's happy and active, participating in community events. I have no complaints. I'd recommend it.

"Caring Community with Room for Food Improvement"

They take good care of my mom here and everyone's nice. The community is clean, though my mom's room could be cleaner. The nurses are great, and my mom enjoys the activities. But, they need more food variety, and that's been a big issue for us. Overall, it's a nice place, and I'd recommend it.

"Four Stars"

Everyone was super friendly. I felt my loved one might’ve been better elsewhere because I had to be there a lot. Overall, it’s a good facility.

"Incompetent management and poor care delivery at this facility."

The wellbeing of my mom is paramount. The place looks good, but the nursing boss cannot manage it effectively. She doesn't value her team, impacting my mom's care. Records are being faked and her care regimen isn't being followed. The folks in the memory care section didn't get the proper training. They don't know how to interact right with dementia patients. Would I send my loved one here? Absolutely not!

""Facility Fails to Uphold Promises, Insists on Contract Obligations""

If I were reviewing this Assisted Living facility just on the quality of their care, I'd give them a solid 4 stars. However, when it comes to their contracts and the things they promised me during the initial consultation, I can only give them a 1-star rating. I was assured that they'd be able to accommodate my aunt no matter what stage she was at. They ended up placing my aunt in the memory care unit. I'd already signed paperwork stating that she was a DNR. When she had trouble breathing, they called paramedics, which wasn't meant to happen. After this, she spent 5 days in the hospital before needing to be moved to skilled nursing. Allsionville Meadows didn't have room for her. Being told she was going to be discharged from the hospital soon, I was left scrambling to find a new place for her. Since I knew I wouldn't be returning her to Allsionville Meadows, I cleared out her room. Despite all this, I was billed for the next month because they claimed I should've given them a month's notice. I find this extremely unfair. I wasn't choosing to move her; they simply couldn't accommodate her needs. On top of the bill, I also received a late fee with instructions to 'make payment immediately to avoid further action.' I find it terrible that while they expect me to uphold my end of the contract, they don't feel the need to uphold theirs. Their contract even requires a 30-day notice if your loved one passes away. Sadly, death isn't typically considerate of such contracts. I only hope people ask more questions and insist on more fair contracts. We shouldn't be taken advantage of just because we're seeking care for our loved ones. It's also very disappointing that while the caregivers here do an excellent job, the front office only seems concerned with making money.

"Fresh and Clean: A New Assisted Living Experience"

The place seemed really nice, like it was just built, and super clean.

"Lovely Setting, but Far & Lacks Full Kitchen Amenities"

Mom thought it was really nice, but she said it was too far away. Also, she didn't like that it didn't have a stove and the kitchenette was small.

"Assistant Not as Knowledgeable, but Beautiful Facility Meets Needs"

I talked with Cathy's helper. She knew a lot but not as much as Larry. The place looked great and should suit my mother-in-law.

"Beautiful Facility with Misleading Promises"

They're trying hard to fill up the place, so they promise a lot more than they actually deliver. They claim they offer free transportation to and from doctor appointments, but it's only on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 to 2. And get this, the only driver also doubles as the activities director! They didn't even have me sign the contract until we were almost moved in completely. There were some surprises in the contract that would've changed my mind if I knew earlier, like needing a medical reason to move out. You'd think they'd have you sign the contract when you put down the deposit, right? It's a nice-looking and clean place, but they're stingy with the extras. Plus, they only want you moving in on certain days, which can be really frustrating.

"Deceptive aesthetics mask disappointing care at assisted living facility"

While the place looks welcoming and well-decorated, I believe their portrayal is misleading, especially when you look at the Alzheimer's and memory care unit. They make it sound easy for a resident to transition from assisted living into this memory care area, but they're selective with who gets that opportunity. Sadly, their understanding of Alzheimer's and dementia patients' needs is lacking. Additionally, their rehabilitation methods are subpar, with issues ranging from over-medicating to administering wrong drugs which have resulted in falls. This happens primarily because they don't want the residents to move more than the short duration which they can bill as therapy. They prefer residents stay in bed or a chair, which isn't helpful since it should be a rehab focused place where movement is encouraged. Moreover, communication is terrible. The director hardly responds to calls and the staff don't even obey the director. It's been a negative experience overall.

"Helpful Staff, Room for Improvement"

It's still early to say how well Mom will settle in. The staff has been really helpful. It would have been better if there was a bit more structure during the transition, but we managed to figure it out.

"Nice Community, Spacious Rooms"

Overall, they’re doing a good job here. The community looks nice, and it’s generally clean and well-maintained. The rooms are a decent size, and we appreciate the doors leading to the courtyard. Adding more greenery outside would make sitting in the courtyard even better. However, they could improve in terms of care and activities. Being a new community, they’re still settling into their routines.

"Explored Assisted Living Facility: Spacious, Supportive, and Pleasant"

I talked with the staff. This place doesn’t have separate apartments for folks who can live on their own, so residents may need more help here. But the good thing is they have doctors and nurses on hand, which is helpful. The apartments and storage spaces are big, and the shared areas are bright and nice.
